What does "Canny Chanter" mean???
Means a great singer
Love hearing geet in interviews like. Geet is a geordie word that means absolutely nothing but means everything. We had a geet box at home(like a swear box) coz me mam hated the word. Sharp stopped saying it when I got no pocket money for 3 weeks in a row!!

Bizzies...has been used as a term for the cops UP here in the north east since I was a bairn in the sixties...my das used it always.
The line "Canny chanter, but he looks sad" just sounds like gibberish. And that's why I love Sam, this song, and everything!
