I hope everything is ok with Kiko and his family.
Yep, he is such a nice dude in the interviews. The statement sounds very serious but hopefully all will work out well for Kiko and his family.
I Heard a rumor that His daughter has a serious disease. And what's more important when you're sick? You want Mom and Dad!!! 🤘🤘
@@DebowyMocnyYeah he definitely seems like a genuine down to earth guy , he commented on something I said on his channel awhile ago. Hopefully whatever his family is dealing with will turn out alright...
Finally Ola Englund mentions George Lynch. My all time favorite guitarist.
Yes,George is one badass guitar slinger,I agree with you.
Really dumb solo project name though. A lynch mob is who killed black people in the racist american south
Mine too
A guitar players guitar player, Mr. Scary himself 🙌 his tone is unmatched
but he was the downfall/attitude, even Juan croicher (RATT) left Dokken because of George, the first Dokken album was already done and george had to rerecord the already written (by Don) guitar parts to give it his flair because Don knew George was good and wanted his solo,s
Dave Lombardo is the one true drummer of slayer no if and or butts about it.
I think only Kerry King would disagree. We all know this was his decision
you channel is awesome, thank you ola !
Great Sunday morning with Ola....thanks m8!!!
Great episode as always, Ola, thank you! Also, thank you for playing one of the greatest Solar finishes! Absolutely love it and it is on my wish list :)
HAPPY SWOLA!!! I'm going to see Unearth & Revocation tonight!! GOOD SUNDAY!
Financially you share equally, but there has to be a leader. The problem is finding a leader and band members that care more about the band then themselves. It has to be a brotherhood not every member is going to contribute but they may set up the sound, they maybe a better producer, maybe they are better controlling the money. You have to look at the big picture. A band is so much more than who wrote the best song. Ego tends to forget all of the little things others do.
Dude. You’re so cool. Much love
I'M IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION
Dude! That opening music you played is KILLER!
Finally some one adresses the difficulties of band chemistry. Maybe the most important
topic for the newby bands who are starting. Go Ola!
thanks for the video as always be safe and skilful. Pinge
WHAT A FUCKING RIFF!!
My favourite so far. Absolute banger. 🤘🤘🤘
Thanks Glenn for the great info. I have GP 6 but don't use nothing much but the effects. I always thought they had a great interface. Hearing that brutal mix, I'll have to upgrade!
You better bring it for the next The Haunted album! 😊🤘🤘
Great intro & Swola!
Hey Ola,
Wanted to say that I love your dog. ♥️🙏
Dokken's new single "Fugitive" Is actually pretty good even though Don Dokken's voice is shot. I think George is being hard on bass players. Ones like Geddy Lee and Steve Harris are the main songwriters in their bands, and Metallica will never admit that Jason Newsted wrote more of AJFA than what Lars and company will ever give him credit for. Find a bass player who's spirit hasn't been broken by guitarists who only want root-towers with no opinions of their own, and they'll make you glad you did.
Black Sabbath's lyrics were so much better when Geezer was writing them.
Ola is the king of riffs. Every time. You. don't. miss! 🤘
new studio monitor speakers sounds great!
Coffee and Swola makes the best mornings!
Mustaine would be out of his mind if he let Kiko go. He's hands down the best fit for Megadeth since Marty. Insane chops, can literally play anything, a metalhead at heart, strong online presence, and a very likable character. And also the looks, no homo lol As far as personal issues go, every father of a teen daughter can relate to Kiko... he wouldn't take a break if his family REALLY needed him. So yeah, can't wait to have him back!
Listened to vildjharta since the omnislash album. Excited for their new album. 😃 Baxter is Ron Burgundy's dog BTW 😉
George Lynch: "Bass players only play two strings"
Me: *laughs in Victor Wooten*
Alex Webster has entered the chat…
How good is that new Dying Fetus album !!!!
Opening so nice i had to play it twice.
Destroy Erase Imrpove is just the best. Beneath is my fave song on that album. Peace!!
I was so distracted by RoboCop in the background 🤘
Fuck yeah! George lynch!!! I’ve been in a mosh pit all weekend at the powertrip festival! Angus killed his solo!
George Lynch IS a living guitar Legend. 💯. 🤘🏻🇺🇸🎸🔥
Good video 😮
Re: FRFR speakers -- the Mission Engineering "Gemini II" are really outstanding, really give you that thumpy "amp in the room" sound and feel,
Hope the back hip pain odd getting sorted out. 🤘
Thall, Core, Djent you really hit all the buzz words in a row 😂
The irony of the "raining blood" tom hits and no Dave Lombardo
Past bands that Ive been in ( Thorns Of The Carrion and Mechanized), its always been the "One guy" taking control of the direction and not allowing anyone else's input into the music.....and that has more or less driven me to break away from those controlling situations.
Now, thats why I have leaned very heavily towards a home studio, and making music myself.
Metal bands undervalue their bassists. I started as a bassist. Last time I tried recording a bass track after 20 years of guitar, I almost shit my pants. Not even kidding. If I really had to go I would have made a mess because I wasn't about to lose that good take. XD
In my band, I do all the booking/merchandising/management side of everything, but when it comes to the music/any artistic choices (cover art, who we're using to mix, music videos etc), it's an equal partnership where everyones voice is heard and we go with a majority decision.
I think musically, you need the input from other members to keep it grounded. Machine Head is the perfect example for me. The new album isn't terrible, but it's lacking a special spark, and that spark came from the input of other members and the quality control/ego checking that came with it.
Swola 😉🤘✨🎸🔥🖤
Oh Baxter. I love you. Sir Ronald Burgandy. The Anchorman.
family is always the first priority, kudos to kiko.
2:20 PERFECT !!!
Hey Ola I'm glad to see you keep the old Racer chair. Good move.
I find it so inspirational how much he does in spite of his speech impediment. Keep rocking there big guy. Even if it doesn't work out at least you tried. 👍
Robocop! Omg I loved that game!
The beginning riff is very similar to the intro in demolisher by slaughter to prevail
ola finally checked out vildjarta yayyyy
Somebody's gotta be the musical leader in a band in my opinion
"I love you, Baxter" is from Anchor Man :)
George, Lynch actually became a very good friend of mine as of last year, it’s crazy
Details please lol
George Lynch just played the OCC Roadhouse in my neighborhood (St Petersburg Fl) last weekend. Heard it was good.
I was in a band in which I was the driving force. I named the band, I was writing all music and lyrics, I was singing, I was the one pushing the others for rehearsal, gigs, everything. That's the way I liked it. But if the others would have came with material matching the esthetic profile of the band, I would have welcomed it. And the bass player had an attempt one time, but it didn't last. Than we broke up because they were too busy with their personal lives.
Same here with me und my bands
It’s just hard finding people who are willing to actually commit
@@somemoron2502these video games aren't going to play themselves!!
I know too many talented musicians that are pushing 40 and working at a carwash. Threw away all that talent
My most recent band had a similar arrangement. I definitely would have worked with good ideas that the other members brought in, trouble is they didn't really have any ideas that were all that interesting. That is one of the hardest thing about assembling and maintaining a band. Finding members who honestly know what their talent, strengths, and musical weaknesses really are. In short, egos suck
Rammstein refer to their band as a "six-way marriage", and amazingly, even with SIX members, they have been going strong since the 1990s without changing the lineup one bit. 🖤
The Anchorman, love that movie lol
I love Ola
the movie reference of Baxter is from anchor man
"Brick, where did you get the.hand gernade"
"I don't know"
Love anchorman!
Pix! 😍
Gosh your entry riff is killer Mr England.
Over 30 years of band experience, and in that 30 years, by far the best experience I had was a band I was in for 8 years, where we actively included everyone in all aspects. Rather than “wait for someone to pick up the ball” it was “hey dude, I’ve got this riff, you write what comes next”. Or, I booked this gig, you book the next one. We’d even have the drummer “hum out” riff ideas n such.
We didn’t write the best music and not all results were 100% win, but every day, everyone in the band looked forward to being there.
Enjoying what you’re doing matters more than writing the next stairway to heaven.
Coffee with Buster or Calle would be so cool
I support this statement!
Ola, you said that you are gonna fix the cables. Cable management my guy, anyways nice " tha news ". 😎🤘
Good day, Ola.
"Baxter, you ate a whole wheel of cheese?! I'm not even mad." Anchorman quote. Appreciate the reference.
Come on Baxter you know i don’t speak Spanish.
Wrong movie. Try again.
That car bomb shirt!!
Hey Ola! 👋 would you be able to do a video or maybe a small segment on SWOLA to demo the JHS Bonsai pedal or the Empress Effects Heavy Menace pedal? 🙏 I recently watched your video for the Hell Melter pedal, and I figured I'd drop a couple more pedal suggestions. 🤘
Thank you for the great videos. Have a great day! 👊
that "listening in mono" joke had me crying! :D
🤘
Your movie reference was Anchorman 🤙
Get a sealed sub to go with those Dynaudio's Ola, it will be punchier/tighter..nothing wrong with those Dynaudio's though!! Hifi guy here, I use JL Audio or REL, but there are lots of good choices out there.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
The most humbling thing in the world is when you form a band (which obviously makes it YOUR band) bring a song on the table and then everyone is "nah, we don't like that, we should play something like this..." (which is basically what YOU absolutely hate playing). Always time to question, "do I really want to do this?"....
The new Dying Fetus is awesome! Not that there was any doubt it wouldn't be. When the Trend Ends, is my jam.
$269 for the Positive Grid 10" Fr Speaker is a good deal. Klipsch, Line 6 and JBL Partybox are all double, triple the price.
Need an Ola funkopop 😎
YIPPEEE
😄Pix❤👌🏼
Leggo my Eggo!
Oo new chug album sounded like a Rammstein riff . Eagles responsible for the breakup of the original lineup and listen in moano. Love it. Swola out.
Yes. Hierarchy is good.
Yo Ola! Do you still have your BoogieBolt? That guitar is amazing.
Thanks for the SWOLA!
Intro song sounds like sloughter to prevail demolisher
13:35 Judging by Kerry King's appearance(Divine Intervention), it should be Paul Bostaph on drums!
are those monitors near feild ? If not That would explain why they are not desk friendly. Dont sound flat enough to be reference monitors. Cool look!
The opening riff sounded almost identical to slaughter to prevails “demolisher” are you a fan?
Hey Ola!
How do you record bass for your intro riffs for SWO?
I always wondering what Dime would be using in terms of amps and sims in this day and age
Ola 🤟
I was in a band that I liked, but guitarist was stuck in one tuning, I wanted to do a couple standard tune, then the problems started, eventually the end. He was a good player though.
Can you have a 6XLT or a 5XLT Shirts available for us big guys working in the oil field......?
Bro, I haven't felt this way in a long time, but o have a lot to say about this episode. First off, love the NES robocop on the TV. The Anchor Man reference was nice and that was a very happy tail wag, you got.. Dave should be the drummer, I mean c'mon, that's some supreme grudgeifying. The car bomb shirt is sick, because car bomb effing rules, no cap. And Lynch. Man. Guys ego has it's own zoning laws. Guys ego would curb stomp Godzilla. And he's going after the bass player now? Maybe he finally realized Don is, in fact, awesome, and usually right when it comes to Dokken. What next? He gonna start picking on his best buddy, Mick? C'mon bro.
Killer intro. Who laid d own the rhythm tracks?
Ola quoting Anchorman.
It’s an anchorman quote.
Robocop tea-bagging in the background at 12:20
Why would you use slaughter to prevail’s demolisher intro in swola 😂
The Man Punted Baxter
that intro made me vertiginous. that is a good thing.
just reminding that we NEED another Ola learns of a children of bodom song😁
