I’m almost certain you haven’t studied “Usool Al Fiqh” “Qawa’id al Fiqh” “Maqasid al Fiqh”. Only a person who’s been living u Dee a rock or whom ﷲ has taken away their aql woukd say otherwise today would say different.

People seem to think that a muslim is only winning if the war is victory by defeating the oponents in the battle field, this is not true as our ummah has lost many battles but those battles gave victories in other forms because of it.

What has happened to him is a great Test from Allah subhana wataala InshaAllah he keeps steadfast.
He is speaking the truth , whatever knowledge I have from the hadith that I have read and if his instance is same as the video. Scholars and rulers are to be separated. Scholars can get corrupted by rulers. Rulers are the followers of Sharia and scholars are the interpreters of Sharia. These two thing shouldn't collide with each other. Both will in the bed have disastrous effect if it's done
Our scholars should be rulers.
In a perfect world, the leaders would be the scholars. Just like how Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali all had a deep understanding of the sharia.
Don’t think about it from the perspective of being a leader will deviate the scholar, but that a leader who’s also a scholar would work hard to teach people their religion and to propagate Islam in the lands of the disbelievers.

it was the incident when he told them to pray asr when they get to a certain place, but they couldn’t get there before Maghrab. So one group prayed asr before getting there, and another prayed once they got there (after maghreb had come). They asked the Prophet PBUH, he said both groups were justified.

He is someone who Shaykh Fawzan and Shaykh Ruhaili hafidhahumullah have refuted. This person spreads false beliefs and dangerous beliefs as well which would involve overthrowing the Muslim rulers and therefore he has been arrested.

Alhamdu Lillah Is now that I am understanding this noble sheikh may Allah free him from those enemies of Islam. Let's pray for these imprisoned scholars, I used to think they did something wrong but Alhamdu Lillah Allah guide me to the truth. insha'Allah We will change the situation let's pray and learn our Deen every single time.
They surely don't know what is at stake, putting the ulama' in a 'hidden hands' position. The ummah is at stake. Thier akhirah, are at stake. The first 10, to stand in front of Allah to be judged on the Judgement Day of their own rulings, are at stake. We, in SEA have similar issue for a very long time of ulama being paid salary, which is forbidden according to sunnah of our Rasulullah ﷺ. They have given salary, and volunteers are running their programmes. How appropriate. They will always come after the ulama'. The enemies from within or without, they will never stopped.
Behold, everyone. This is the true kind of Ulama. Not some google sheikh. May Allah preserve him. Ulama have a lot in their shoulders. What's makruh for simple people like you and me can be haram for Ulama. Allah said in Quran, that Allah will punish those ahlul ilm who do not deliver the haqq message of Azza va Jalla.

He got jailed and he is basically hinting to us that the scholars should not be taking money from the rulers because that will corrupt them if yu look at people when placed in front of intimidating figures they begin to nod and agree with whatever they say even if its false and that has happened with scholars where yu see the scholars had 1 opinion on a subject but after the rulers who didn't like it got involved behind the scenes intimidation/bribery the scholars started having 10 different opinions etc to please the rulers and powerful figures
