Best video on ball joint replacement out of the dozens I’ve seen.

Excellent video. I haven't done a bolt on ball joint for years so was a helpful refresher. Have to do one on my wife's Fluence tomorrow so going to be more confident now. Thanks for the really clear instructions!

Omg! Thank you . I have to change the entire arm every year because of the ball joints . 30.000km and they are gone . I have a renault Laguna and i’am not the richest person. Tommorow i will cange my ball joints because they recomanded this at an evaluation (again) . I costs about 300 euros in parts and laboour to change both arms and 40 euros to change the ball joints myself . So thabk you ! Tommorow i know exactly what to do

Just want to say thank you for this video. Really helped show me what I needed to buy and do. Fitted a new TRW ball joint last night and it went great.
Thank you and keep up the good work.

For anyone else looking at doing it, may be obvious to some but taking the entire suspension arm off (really easy to do) makes drilling out the rivets really easy.

Great job! Need to replace mine also. For now I just shot a bit of grease into shot ball joint. It will hold for two, three days.

Oh yeah... she was dry as can be! Older VW's had similar ball joint rivets... I used to just drill the rivet head and knock it off, then tap the remains piece out. Thanks for bringing back those memories! =)

Good video. With my kangoo the balljoint is studded in no bolts. So drilling it then buying the balljoint only and 3 nuts and bolts shall do the job. I always thought had to buy the whole arm.. just a outter balljoint will be very cost efficient fix

Could you use a steel chisel and hammer the ends off the rivets? And then punch the rivet from the bottom? Or does it have to be drilled?

I have a renault megane mk 2 petrol, I have an engine light on on the dashboard ,I find the fault and repair it ( fuel injector not opening) now the problem is i can't erase the engine light with my OBD II because is telling me to put ignition on without starting the engine but is impossible because I have the card. Any help plz!!

Probably you have solved but to turn on ignition there are 2 ways, one is service mode: insert card and push for 5 seconds start button without pedals, other way push start with pedal brake pressed and a gear inserted
