THIS is the reason I prefer the anime Baki over the manga. In the manga you know from the start that Baki does not have a chance in hell against Yujiro because we've seen him fighting Orochi and all that stuff, but since in the anime it starts with the childhood saga rather than having it be a flashback, it builds up this idea that Baki might have a chance since he took down the Yasha Ape Yujiro allegedly struggled against and beat Gaia who was said to be comparable to Yujiro, then there is all the training he does with Hanayama and Yuri that makes you think that this will be a tough fight, but there have been tough fights before. Baki has a chance at this. And then Yujiro literally punches a tectonic plate into place right before the fights starts and you know Baki's fucked.
speaking of the anime(baki the grappler), for those who haven't watched it yet, watch the original jp dub with english subs. I don't mind the voice acting in the english dub, I actually like how a lot of them sound, but they butchered a lot of dialogue in there. like changing lines that are supposed to give respect to their opponent into mere gradeschool trashtalking. I don't remember any specific scenes right now but you'll get it if you watch both versions.

That feat was a pure PIS. It was early in the series and Itagaki still didn't know what he was doing, so he went a bit Nuts in there. Everything that we see of Yujiro since then...honestly pales in comparison. He struggled against Doppo, couldn't even dodge his punches, got trapped by a net and put to sleep by darts, had to resort to Dodging Kaku's punch instead of his normal (tank everything) attitude, lost strength contest to Pickle, etc. If that earthquake feat would really be consistent, then he would pretty much turn anyone into paste with a casual punch, something that he obviously could not do, as even Kid Baki tanked several of his punches and survived.
In the manga it is said that....he is so confident in his strenght..that he actually believed that he stopped that earth quake..it was just lucky timing.. quake did not stop coz of the punch...
