    I agree with you completely: both hotels are excellent, but I prefer Palazzo over Venetian. As you noted, the Palazzo rooms are larger and easier to get to. Palazzo just feels larger, fresher and more tranquil. I do like the energy of the Venetian casino better, but it’s nice to go back to the Palazzo casino when the casino at Venetian gets too crowded and smoke-filled. Plus, if you enjoy walking, I like the easy access to various pedestrian bridges from the Palazzo and dislike the walkway from Harrah’s to the Venetian.
    If the biggest problem we have is choosing between Palazzo and Venetian, then we are very lucky people.

      @Coolist  2 роки тому +6

      I can see why you like the energy of the Venetian casino floor more than Palazzo's. Though it's more modern, cool, and trendier, compared to the Venetian's, it does feel a bit sterile.
      Palazzo or Venetian is certainly a first world problem lol.

    Took your advice and booked at The Palazzo. Loved it. The Venetian is great too but what sold me on The Palazzo is how convenient it is to get to the room from the parking lot. The only negative is that getting to the gym does take longer from Palazzo.

    I love your review! I stayed at Palazzo about a month ago! Everything was on top with the Palazzo!
    You are correct; Palazzo is more high end but they do have the sunkin rooms at Palazzo also. They gave me one with a Sunken Living Room on a higher floor. I liked the fact that the Mall is between the 3 towers, but it does take 20 to 30 minutes to get between two towers. If you were walking thru the mall or Las Vegas Boulevard its the same distance. The frontt Desk Agent gave me a great tip; You can access the Grand Canal Shoppes thru the second floor of Palazzo Tower; that way you dont have to go thru the casino to get to the mall!! Another noticable thing. The Pools in Venetian way more packed that the ones on the Palazzo. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that Palazzo pools have a South facing view. I found those with less guests / less kids. In particular the one facing Wynn was quiet as mouse! I will stay again at Palazzo another time. As far as Venetian..one noticable advantage is thier casino seems more alive! Its hip, packed, croweded and way more people gambling. Im assuming its the fact that the people walking to the Musuem and people walking North On Las Vegas BLVD hit that casino first. But anyway great review!

    We stayed at the Pallazo last year, for a convention, in a room with a sunken living room. It was amazing! Nicest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. We walked all over the two properties. And the whole place is beautiful! Either one you choose, I don’t think you can go wrong. I will definitely stay at the Pallazo again!

The walk to my room however…it was so long I saw a sign that said Santa Monica Freeway next exit lol. I have been in the casino and public areas of Palazzo and think you’ve nailed it Exaaactly. Both properties are very similar but the Palazzo is a tick above the Venetian. Either one is a great property. Cool and informative content as always 😎😎😎

    We've stayed at both properties a bunch of times and never seen a room without a sunken living room. The older I get, the more I wish it didn't have sunken living rooms due to bad knees. Our preference is for the Palazzo room mainly for the large granite topped divider between the bedroom and living room. Great for laying out luggage and gear. Venetian just has an ornamental iron railing. We also prefer the Grand Lux on the Palazzo side and we tend to eat most meals there. I did not know there was a price difference between them. My wife constantly receives 3 night comp offers so we haven't had to pay for a room yet.

    Btw, I love both casinos and just got upgraded to Elite status w Grazie I stay so often. But I agree with you, Palazzo is is so much nicer. Plus all the rooms have great views as the tower is twice as tall as Venetian. Palazzo was.tallest hotel in Vegas until Resorts World. edged it by a few feet. I've had so many terrible views at Venetian because half of the rooms just face directly into another building or the parking garage. At Palazzo, you're always high up.

    Several months ago I booked a room at the Palazzo for November for four nights. I could stay comped at any Caesars property, including in a suite at a couple of them but after finding a deal for Palazzo for less than $100 per night plus taxes and resort fees I decided that was too good to pass up. Venetian was the same price but I chose the larger room at Palazzo and also felt like it would be a little quieter. I’ve stayed at Venetian years ago after it first opened but not since then, nor at the Palazzo. I felt that the quality of the Palazzo vs any of the comped Caesars properties was worth paying for, especially since it was a great deal. Thanks for the comparison, it confirmed my great choice!

    • @Coolist
      @Coolist  2 роки тому +2

      Great write-up and analysis. Last November, the occupancy rates in Vegas averaged 9%, resulting in some excellent hotel deals - looks like you snagged one of them by getting the palazzo for $100/night. You'll probably never see normal rates that low again.

    When I stay in Vegas, I always stay at the Venetian. It's definitely a serious walk to get to your room in the Venitian. If it's easier in the Palazzo -- all things being relatively equal -- I'm choosing the Palazzo next time.

  • @bankrollboosterslots5118
    @bankrollboosterslots5118 Рік тому

    Great Video and you are correct in saying that both are great choices. It really depends on the reason for the trip. If it’s a trip with the family, including kids, Palazzo is much more comfortable because it’s not as crowded. If the trip is for gaming or just out with the boys, we stay at the Venetian because of the much larger gaming area and more “people watching” opportunity along with the hanging out with the larger crowds.
    Valet parking is better at Palazzo because Venetian likes to take you into the parking lot… But, when flying and taking Ubers, it doesn’t matter either way.
    Room wise, we typically get the larger suites rather than the standard suites, and we find that the ones on the Venetian side seem to be a tad larger. But as you mentioned, the differences are quite negligible especially if you are not spending too much time actually in your room.
    Again, great review.

    In regards to the sunken living rooms at Palazzo, they are on every floor except the floor directly under the Penthouse Floors at the top. I've stayed on that same floor as well, and that's what the desk agent told me as she was upgrading me to a high floor. I forget the floor number, but I was far above looking down on the Venetian roof far below and very close to the top of the Palazzo tower. Must be a design feature required to accommodate the PH above. Oh also, the handicap rooms elsewhere in the tower will not have the sunken living, but I was 100% sure I was not in one of those, as I had the standard bathroom with no ADA features.

    I went into both of these a couple days ago and it was ridiculously confusing. I went into the grand canal shoppes (amazing to see) and ended up at palazzo without even seeing where Venetian was. I was actually trying to find the interior walkway to Sphere so I could find a gift shop. Unfortunately, there was a huge AWS convention and they had that whole area blocked off. Here's a tough question: Venetian/Palazzo vs Cosmo? They're extremely different properties but I'm having a hard time deciding on which to stay at for my Vegas trip in November. That terrace room at Cosmo is really tugging at my wallet. What do you think?

    • @Coolist
      @Coolist  2 роки тому

      Coolness versus luxury. If you are looking to be social and mingle, cosmo. But the overall better property is palazzo - better rooms, restaurants, casino, shopping, and location. Cosmo has the "it" factor, but that is pretty much it - it's declining slightly...

    • @SofieAndStephen
      @SofieAndStephen 2 роки тому

      @@Coolist I've heard many others say amazing things about that terrace room at Cosmo and how that alone is a reason to stay there. But for the dates I'm looking at... a 5 night stay at Cosmo is gonna run me about $1k more than 5 nights at Palazzo. Maybe that just isn't worth it.
      I guess if that view in the room is the only thing going for Cosmo... I may have to shift gears towards Palazzo. I do love the variety of restaurants and shopping on the Venetian/Palazzo property.

    • @Coolist
      @Coolist  2 роки тому

      Honestly, How many minutes are you going to spend on that balcony taking in the view? You should stay there and see - I reckon less than 3 minutes a day. I've stayed at cosmo over 15x, and the balconies, wrap around suites, and views of the Bellagio fountains are cool for about 5 minutes on the first day.
      If you've never stayed at cosmo then maybe you should give it a shot - everyone should stay there once and it is a great property. It used to be my favorite and that's why I stayed there so often. But I promise this, after your stay, you'll agree that the balconies are a merely used feature. They are better in theory than in real life.

    • @SofieAndStephen
      @SofieAndStephen 2 роки тому

      @@Coolist Thats kinda what I was thinking as well-- in the end it's just a balcony view. Snagging a good view in the Palazzo suites would probably be equally as nice, alongside all the other great amenities at the property.

      @@Coolist So my trip overall was amazing. When we went to the pool we had a cabana on the Palazzo side and loved the pool. I think I preferred that side over the Venetian side tbh. For Dinner we went to SW at the Wynn and Xpot and a few others throughout the trip, but those 2 stand out the most. Thanks again for all the hard work you put into making your videos, they are a great help!

    I am planning a bachelor trip for October and am lost on where to stay. I’d appreciate any suggestions on the Las Vegas strip. With so many options I’m lost on where to begin selecting where to stay! I’d appreciate any advice.

      I’ve stayed at the cosmopolitan and it’s a very nice but expensive hotel.The aria is expensive but also has very small rooms, the Vdara is all the way in the back and it’s a walk to the strip just like the Aria and has very old rooms with “air filters” that left everything covered in dust in the morning or night. If you really read the descriptions some hotels have rooms that actually have two rooms in one suite and end up being cheaper then getting separate rooms. If your just gona go to sleep then go for the cheaper hotels but they are a you get what you pay for type of thing. The real party is in Fremont street I think it’s called and it’s way cheaper and more fun in the clubs since it’s the locals.

    Ok then Palazzo for me I'm thinking, wonder if its better for avoiding screaming kids? You know your favorite 🤣
    One other question James, what hotels have a good steam shower? Want to try one, I'm thinking only with the suites perhaps? Thoughts?

    • @Coolist
      @Coolist  2 роки тому +1

      😆 Hoards of kids at both pools, which is to be expected: Palazzo and Venetian are quite family friendly.
      Bro, I've yet to encounter a steam shower in a Vegas room. I'm sure they exist, but I don't have an answer for you. Now in Tokyo, they are everywhere - as standard as a sink 😎

    The palazzo in my opinion is better. The rooms seem a little more updated in the palazzo and when I stayed at the Venetian there was some wear and tear on the furniture.

    I just dropped $1K for a 2 night stay at the the Venetian 😵‍💫 🥰 the most I’ve ever paid for a hotel, I have usually stayed here for 2 nights for about $500… maybe cause it’s a holiday weekend ? I would love to stay at the palazzo some day! I don’t gamble or drink heavily I love going for the “illusion of luxury” and Sharing the experience with the people I love 😀 totally worth it I can’t wait ! 🙂

    From the room videos that I’ve seen, I like palazzo way better than the Venetian, because the Venetian rooms have too much hideous looking wallpaper. Also the sunken living room is a safety hazard, as if you are drunk or not paying attention you can easily fall and seriously hurt yourself. I like your comparisons esp the walking ones, which is another reason for me to choose the Palazzo.

    You touched on this briefly, but the layout of the Venetian on the casino and Grand Canal Shoppes floors is absurdly confusing. It's beautiful but so easy to get lost. And they can't really fix it without doing enormous structural renovations, so they backed themselves into a corner.
    They clearly realized this and build the Palazzo side to be much easer to navigate, and it's great.

    Venetians rooms are a bit dark and outdated IMO. Palazzo’s are better. Lots of walking at this property is all I gotta say. The room elevators are way in the back and if you wanna get out on the strip it’s at least a 10-15 minute walk from the room. For this reason I love Aria. It’s more compact and equally as nice.
