I think Eva is the best comedic actress in the cast. Her timing, nuance and delivery and faultless, and she can do dramatic emotional scenes with the best of them
eva must have felt like shit since she wasnt in this category with the rest o the women she shares screen time with. but i understand why she wouldn't be nominated in the first couple of seasons because her character is somewhat surface but as you get through the series you cant help but to love eva/gaby because shes a real ass woman
The ironic thing was they were being nominated in a Comedy category. Look at the other two nominees, both from sitcoms. So there's no reason Eva shouldn't have been nominated as well for her comedic performance in the early seasons. She was amazing at comedy, while Felicity and Marcia did the heavy lifting in the dramatic side.

But I'm not surprised that didn't happen -- the core of some of the more fundamental plotlines either didn't include Edie or her characters input was minimal. Nicolette Sheridan did receive some love on the independent circuit -- she was nominated for a slew of lesser known awards during her time on the show, of course those aren't televised.
that has to be the cutest acceptance speech ever! how modest and humble is she?! she is an amazing actress, such a shame she didn't win the academy award, she certainly deserves one, maybe next time!
I'm a bit torn here - Felicity was fabulous for sure, and she was indeed the best actress out of the Housewives, but I don't think the episode submitted showed the best of her in season one. I actually think Marcia had by far the best (and funniest) submission.

How could you not LOVE Flicka! She is so freaking adorable. Her speech was beautiful and I loved her reaction to her win. I remember this year very clearly because the fight was on between Marcia and Teri but no one was even talking about Felicity's performance. I love her and I was so happy she won! Way to go Flicka! I love Felicity, but this award should have been Marcia's. Felicity should have won the 2007 Emmy for 'Bang', while the ladies should ALL have been nominated from Seasons 1-4. Marcia should have got some recognition for season 2 as well. I have no idea why Emmy shut out DH after season 2 - OK, it wasn't nearly as great as season 1, but it was still smarter than every other show on TV back then.

No one told Teri that, as she arrived early and chose the best one. When marcia arrived, she flipped out, started cussing at everyone, and stormed out. They had to beg her to come out, and all five took the pic with Nicollette in the center.
Max Povah from what I understood Teri was getting a huge head and started elevating herself as the star of the show and the other ladies are just her supporting stars. It didn’t help she was getting all the attention and people calling her the “hottest one”
oh my God Flika its juts adorable shes autentic yeah Marcia deserves some award shes so good too but that was the FLIKA MOMENT haha love desperate housewives
i do agree marcia was robbed at emmys and gg and felicity aswell at the oscars. felicitys submission wasnt really good at this emmys but other factors make her to win.
I was absolutely blown away by her in 'Transamerica'. I think that performance was as good as anything even Meryl Streep has done. What a travesty she lost the Oscar to Reese Whitherspoon! How one could even compare these two performances beats me.
Felicity looks really stunning, love her dress, but i think bree should have won. i think lynette and bree are the most 2 characters in DHW! what a great show!
