Teri (Susan) got the Golden Globe, Felicity (Lynette) got the Emmy, but what about Marcia (Bree) the very embodiment of a desperate housewife in this show. Her performance was phenomenal. So sad, she didn't get anything.

For all of you saying Teri is a bad actress, she has HUGE comedic talent and that's why she got this award.
All of the DH actresses are great, but in the 1st season, she really was the one standing out and deserved this award to the fullest extent.
+Bill Ferr No Sorry she didn't stand out it was Bree who did.
+Kanade Lapis Teri was the star then. I love them all and I think Bree is my favorite too, but Susan was the one everybody talked about and she deserved it.
Bill Ferr I don't know i felt like she was overreacting as Susane i'm gonna rank them from best to mediocre for you here:
1-Lynette (she's a great actress)
2 -Bree (she's just as good)
3-Edie (she acted her part really well)
4-Susane (she's good but overreact sometimes)
5-Gaby (the weakest actress really good at comedy but very weak in drama.)
+Kanade Lapis I agree generally. Lynette is wonderful, my personal favorite and I love them all.
+Kanade Lapis - Eva Longoria was actually very good in her dramatic scenes around the end of season 4 and the beginning of season 5. I think it's a crime (yes, I'm exaggerating) that Marcia Cross never won an award for playing Bree. Her character defined the show. Yes, Teri/Susan was slightly more of a main character in the first season but that doesn't mean she was the better actress. I think Marcia Cross deserved an Emmy nomination for seasons 2 and 4 (for 4 she made the top 10 along with Eva and Felicity but none of them got in the top 5).
She has very unique voice. I like it.

Teri did deserve this one. I'm sure the 2005 awards was after the first season, and Teri as Susan was the stand out. Susan was my favorite throughout the series but towards the later seasons, Marcia as Bree and Felicity as Lynette stood out more.
Once Edie was killed off the show went down the toilet. Edie was wild, fun and her outrageous sexuality was as perfect for 'DH" as Samantha was for "Sex in the city" .
Dont forget Gaby. Her character also evolved from the first till the end of season💯👍

Yep! This is after the first season's wrap. To me, Teri and Felicity were neck and neck but when you really watch the show, definitely Teri stood out in that Season.
For me Bree was the best in season 2, and Marcia didnt even get nominated

IMHO if they had all won the GG or the Emmy once (as it should have been), it should have been like this:
Teri Hatcher-Season 1, she had great storylines and was able to showcase her vast comedic talent, while being an absolute klutz and making everybody fall in love with her character. Who can ever forget her getting locked out of the house naked?
Marcia Cross-Season 2, here's when Bree became the star and it was a wonderful season for her, understanding how she thinks and how that seemingly cold woman is filled with emotion
Felicity Huffman-Season 3, a simply astonishing actress, she proved once again here how stellar she is and could've easily won that year, just with her scene-stealing turn, gut-wrenching performance in "Bang"
Eva Longoria-Season 4, I feel like this is one when we got the closest to Gabrielle and saw what's beneath her superificiality, while getting great comedic work as well and seeing her around Carlos, evolving more and more each day
Bill Ferr I think Lynette should've won for the season she had cancer and gabby the season where she first had kids
The work Teri did with Nicolette Sheridan was hysterical. Once they killed Edie off the show was NEVER the same.
Agree: Gaby evolved so much, when you put together her scenes in the first episode and some when she was a mother or took care of Carlos you see how much she changed (also Carlos) and how complex their characters were. Sure, spicy sarcastic Latino flavour was still there but they were more vulnerable and relatable.

The first season, she is the standout one. That's why she won Golden Globe and SAG then nominated for Emmy. The other girls get jealous and feud with her.
Felicity Huffman won a Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She was the only actor on the show to get an Emmy which has a bit more prestige than the Golden Globe does when it comes to TV Awards.

I've always love Teri even when she was on Louis And Clark because she never let fame go to her head. She always saw herself as a human being first and not like a special person. Other celebrities that are like Teri are singer Adele, singer Rosalia, Gayle King, Sandra Bullock, comedians Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle, actor John C Reilly, side kick Andy Richter, Robert Downey Jr., Julia Roberts, tv host Meredith Viera, tv host Katie Couric, comedian Molly Shannon, amongst others.

It may sound childish, but I wanted the casts of my favorite shows to be besties in real life too 😔 It's so heartbreaking for me that some of the cast members of Charmed, Sex and the City or DH hate each other, and some of them still couldn't get through it.
I really want a DH reunion where they just laugh about their past and forgive each other.

There was a second reward that month if I recall. Few months later(March?) Vanity fair shooting happened with all the anti-Teri demands imposed on VF by the actresses lol.
@@Kruukk Marcia and Felicity were furious because Teri's salary then increased for Season 2 while theirs remained the same. The wedge was created. Marcia and Felicity both received salary increases in Season 3.... but so did Teri, again. The only actress to be paid the same as Teri was Felicity in the final season.
More than deserved. All DH were great but she was the best. She is such a great and complete actress, watching her Lois again, she is impecable, and those who say bad things about her in real life are the people who follow gossips, she is the nicest, don't believe everything you hear, just watch her with fans and she the reality.

If I recall correctly, she got this reward in Jan and another one (Academy?). There were rumours she could be getting 3rd one. All of it in one month. Months after that Vanity Fair happened with all the anti-Teri demands from other actresses.
She looks so beautiful in satin or silk as most gorgeous women with gorgeous bodies do. I love that silver, shimmery satin dress she was wearing in Season 1 at the dinner with Mike and the hospital scene. She looked stunning there! What a face and a body.

Its nice to learn that she won too. Because Carrie Bradshaw is a pretty tough TV icon to beat. Marcia Cross, is the only one who didnt get an award, BUT NO DOUBT, she is loved by more fans. Well, Eva apparently got a people's choice award, coz she doesnt get nominated.... Charlotte York doesnt get nominated either.... But each of these girl play a very important role in the show.

I think Edie was the best character on "DH". Once they killed Edie off the show went down the drain. The chemistry between Nicolette Sheridan & Teri Hatcher was fantastic.

Teri's great, but in my humble and honest opinion, Marcia Cross should have won the Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award for her performance as Bree. Of course, DH was so incredible in the first year, it was thought that each of the four ladies would have alternated the home run of awards in the following years (and Sheridan for Supporting). OK, season 2 wasn't the best, but compared to the last four seasons it was incredible!
