I've just realized something when we look back to how yhwach was created the way he was created is more busted than any of his abilities everything that touches him become his that includes the sternriters as well so basically everyone will become part of him

Can you make a video on why kisuke didn’t give hogyoku to ichigo . Kisuke told in cfyow that he can’t give it to him as it disrupts the balance or something
Seriusly such a lovely vid so good i have to share this. Well composed video yhwach is a character that i even like more than johan liebert and light yagami. But truly sad how the antagonist was not the monster but arguably the soul reapers forcing this world to continue through endless torture :(
"are the soul reapers really the good one?" well it depends on the individual bro. not all of them because they're all different person. They're all soul reapers but they can only be recognized as good or bad through their actions. what happened in the past has nothing to do with the current soul reapers. The soul reapers in the past are complete different persons. If a group of dogs bite a human, it isn't right to say that all "dogs" are evil. The good ones have nothing to do what the evil ones have done in the past because if for example your father is a thief, does that also make you a thief even though you haven't done anything like your father did?
This was the first videonive seen of yours and it made me binge all your content I'm glad I found you before you blow up like you will! If your hiring a video editor I'd love to work with anime content!
It’s a well edited video, but the direction of trying to make Yhwach sympathetic is weird. Then again, I’m posting this after the light novels and stuff came out so hindsight is 20/20. In Can’t Fear Your Own World (CFYOW) it was revealed that when the soul king was still around and killing hollows left and right the balance was in turmoil because he completely destroyed them. If the Quincy had their way it still wouldn’t work as their abilities are a natural threat to balance that stabilizes existence. Soul reapers purify the Hollows while Quincies flat out destroy them. Which causes issues. Then there is the fact that Quinces, namely, Yhwach were the aggressors of the conflict. The soul reapers tried to reason with them only for the Quincy to refuse a peace pact and they invaded the Soul Society like the anime depicted. Leading them into their own slaughter. Yhwach has been the sole reason of mass Quincy death. From the war to killing the remaining Quincy to restore his powers, to using it to wipe out the majority of his forces. He has to ensure their deaths as their souls fuel him. If ever stops absorbing souls he goes back to that comatose state. The war is basically to alleviate his own fear of death
Thank you for the comment. The "sympathetic angle" was intended. I reccomend checking out the cfyow intro video I did. There I explain the different themes I cover in all these videos. Essentially, I made these videos to 1. Explain what happenened in cfyow and 2. Explore moral ambiguity of the characters. Villains and heroes are often quite similar and are sometimes only seperated by circumstance, character traits and so on. But in bleach I found the fine line between villian and heroes to be closer than other series so that is something I explored in these videos. There are other main themes I discuss in these videos and they have evolved as time went on but that intro video should explain the objective of these videos better if you still find it to be weird. From what I remember the world of the soul king did not have different realms. It was all one place so the stability of the world was not much of an issue compared to know. Through the soul king the world was split into realms where the balance was needed for it to function like this. So in a way, a new world was created in which the quincy had no place in it. Them killing hollows will disrupt the balance of the world and if that was done enough, the world would revert back to how it originally was. So yhwach and the quincy sought the original world without the soul kings powers being used to create seperate realms, one where apparently death does not exist. They are fighting for the old world, a world where they have a place in, and perhaps yhwach really wanted to free the soul king. All of this is not to say one world was better than the other. It was just to better understand where yhwach was coming from, to show that he didn't just want to destroy the world because he could or he was crazy like your default villian. However, everything I mentioned earlier about fighting for the old world, soul king etc could have been a cover and perhaps yhwach just used that to go to war with the quincy for his own selfish reasons. Also, the fear of death scene in the anime was not around when this video was made. I believe that was an anime only scene. Yes yhwach does have many "villainous" actions throughout the series that I did not include in the video. I didn't feel like I needed to include that since most knew. That side was talked about by everyone and so this was a perspective that did not get talked about and something this series focused on. In my recent cfyow videos I have started to discuss both sides to make it a more cohesive video.
but if Ichigo killed him after Yhwach was temporarily unable to use his powers then how could yhwach's remnants be around and if it was then why didn't he just get revived because if you think about it the very thing that disabled his powers was only in use for longer than like I think it was 1 to 2 seconds or a very short period of time and then it wouldn't work anymore.
Alr, u know that black thing that was on him with all the eyes? Those kept dripping off him and those were remnants of him, they can't revive him, but they are a part of him
None of that was stated so it is up to interpretation. He probably wasn't dead and if he was, he had the soul kings powers within him so maybe it was still strong enough to function. He was probably put in a state similar to the soul king, on the brink of life and death and sealed off.
@@rexeno Yeah the reply was for Jet I didn't read yours at the time. Its probably the soul kings powers that are alive and Yhwach is probably in a coma or something.
Yhwach is one of my favourite villains of all time. It genuinely breaks my heart how unfair his fate is, considering his truly righteous ambitions. People think he was a tyrant, but everyone forgets about his terrible curse he's had since birth. There was a clear reason why he had to kill so many of his people, because it was the only way for him to continue to live. He was the only one who could avenge his father and his people, to destroy the MESS those ancient shinigami created after having betrayed The Soul King. And now he's forced to protect everything he swore to destroy. I may be the only one who thinks so, but, in my opinion, shinigami is the worst and most disgusting race in the Bleach universe. I sincerely hope that the next arc will leave nothing but scraps from them.
He is incredibly underrated because it does take some thought to understand his side. Hopefully, this video helps others understand it more. Often time the victors or the rulers are the most treacherous and destructive. Our history is no different I feel the shinigami represent it well.
Absolutely agree with you! more than half of the troubles in the world, including the enmity with the Quincy, happened precisely because of the Shinigami, but very often they even refused to admit it. Reyo did nothing wrong to them, but they decided to seal him. Ichigo trusted them and saved them more than once, but they were still ready to kill him. When I rewatched Bleach, it was even unpleasant for me to look at them. Even Hollows are more human.
No he is the current soul king, unless he got replaced after cfyow which I don't think is likely. Granz mentioned how he had crazy spiritual powers and his defeat upset the balance of the world from what I remember I think that's what you are referring too.
@@LegendsAreLessons Ah yes that's true I think. I'm gonna have to reread the chapter after I Finnish rereading the series. I'm just finishing up the arrancar arc.
@@LegendsAreLessons that's fax bro. After I finnished the Rukia vs Arroniero fight, I literally had to sit there and think “How the heck do people think Bleach fell off and Soul society is the peak of bleach”.
No he still is the Soul King, but his remaining remnants around the world have disappeared from what we know. He carried so much power that it scattered to all over.
I was never stated that Yhwach is dead and we saw Ichigos Son killing off one of Yhwachs last remains but we can assume he indeed is dead because Shunsui and Ichibe said that Yhwach only is an temporary solution. The whole reason why they brought up Ichigo is because they know that Yhwachs corpse wont hold that long. However the thing is can you even kill Yhwach ? I mean considering his power he proved that there are multiple versions of him because he always switched the here and now where he died with another version of himself where he didnt die. So in the end our Heroes only killed the Yhwach of their dimension and timeline. This is further proved by the remains Ichigos Son removed from the wall. If Yhwach is dead this cant be his power however its possible that another Yhwach just took a little peek into this dimension and countered the Arrow in his timeline. So the question is can you truly kill a person that excists in millions, billions or even trillions of different timelines at once ? We also dont know how Yhwach is "connected" with his other selves. His claim that he simply changes the current outcome by changing the future means that he was in full control of his self in the other timeline. That means while Yhwachs body in this timeline is used as Soul King its possible his mind just went to another version of himself. I mean if our Yhwach would truly die then all Quincys as a result would lose their powers because he granted his powers to them. And given the fact Ichigo still has all his powers and Ishida does aswell means Yhwach indeed isnt dead. And the fact that Shunsui and Ichibe suggested to use Ichigo means that they know fully well that Yhwach isnt dead because Ichigo would lose his powers when Yhwach dies making him useless as Soul King. So i guess Yhwachs fate isnt as bad as you believe because only his body is there. What is a body to a person with possibly infinite versions of himself ? For Yhwach thats nothing more then whats losing an arm was for Ulquiorra.......just get a new one.
Interesting hypothesis, though I'd like to point out that by stating he simply "changed the future" it implies one singular timeline rather than multiple arcing futures. I think that the almighty allows him to see all the potential possibilities which allows him to cherry pick how things are going to pan out rather than body swapping into multiple versions of himself, if that were the case then Kubo would have put an emphasis on it at some point in the manga. Also, I kinda think that going down that road reeks of lazy storytelling, Yuwach has (imo at least) borderline omniscience rather than omnipotence.
@@YuVen3487 It is lazy storytelling and you can see that the last Arc was rushed as fuck. For example: Against Ichibe Yhwach explain that "No attack he has seen can be used to hurt him let alone kill him." Against Ichigo he explains that he looks into hundrets if not thousands of possible futures and as you stated "cherry picks" the one he likes. He also uses that ability to see attacks from different timelines making them useless against him in the original timeline. So now here is the deal. If Yhwach cant even be hurt by anything he has seen....how did he get killed by attacks he has seen ? He should have even seen the Arrow coming for him rendering it useless aswell. Yhwach suffers from the Madara syndrom. A Character so overpowerd you need to make up some BS to get rid of him. Yhwach was pretty much unkillable at this point given the fact he watches everyone for years and knew all of their attacks making all of them useless against him.
@@HansPeter-iv9ck With respect, that's not lazy writing. He didn't actually see any of that with the Almighty because of Kuyga Suigetsu, Aizen even says that it blinds his Schrift, that's why Kubo didn't kill him off two arcs previously. That isn't writing himself into a corner, like with madara, that's planning the end years beforehand. We all know he had to rush the plot due to publication issues and I agree that a bunch of useful exposition got axed to save time but your example is a flawed one. Using the multiple timeline trope in fiction is de-facto lazy unless you apply a strict rule set to it (see any star trek episode that deals with it for an example of how not to do it) that's why I said that Kubo didn't establish it as a thing in Bleach. it means that anything that ever happens in the plot can be easily retconned without much effort (like you suggested in your op that Yuwach is basically unkillable) in fact your proof of this is Ichigo's son beating an aspect of Yuwach, which is better explained by the fact that he absorbed the soul King, including Mimihagi (whose powers represent stillness) better to use the established narrative, in this case either a piece of the soul Kings powers (which Yuwach made his own) or a piece of himself frozen by Mimihagi, rather than inserting a multiple timeline analogy which isn't represented at all in the manga. You are onto something about Yuwach not being dead though. Ishida and Ichigo have Quincy powers, as stated in Yuwach's backstory, any Quincy who dies sends that portion of Yuwach's soul back to him, so there's that at least. I also agree with the power creep. Yuwach is a ridiculously OP fictional character, kinda needed to be after the whole Aizen Hogyaku thing.
@@YuVen3487 You got a point with Suigetsu. However Suigetsu did not harm Yhwach. Yhwach said attacks he saw cant hurt let alone kill him and Suigetsu did none of that. Also he could have seen that Aizen uses Suigetsu on him when he looks into the future so it kinda makes no sense that Suigetsu worked on him when Yhwachs ability is the ultimate spoiler alert. I mean you literally cant surprise him yet Kubo just made it happen. So yeah maybe he cant see Suigetsu directly but when i look into the future and i see that stabbed Aizen while a sneaky little brat is abut to shoot me in the back i would assume i do something about it in the present timeline. It was never explained how Suigetsu affects his Almighty but when you cant see certain portion of your future then there aint many possible options why. Its kinda sad tho that Kubo added so many BS characters: - Barragan (got killed by bs) - Yami....walking pile of bs. - Gerhard (only Yhwach can kill him) - Yhwach unkillable Nazi Jesus. I mean. Havin one character where you make that mistake is something that can happen.....but Kubo did it 4 times.
@@HansPeter-iv9ck Agreed there, even Aizen was surprised that it actually worked on him, although the point of it plot line wise was to blind him to the macguffan arrow by Ishida which froze him and nullified his Almighty for ichigo to deliver the final blow, which Yuwach did see but couldn't figure out how it actually happened, a few panels show him pondering over it, hence why he shattered ichigo's zanpakuto twice because he was basically afraid of it. So, technically from Yuwach's perspective there was a gap in his prescience from the moment Aizen squared up to him right up until ichigo finished him with his true bankai. I'd argue that Kubo wasn't certain of the exact details of how Aizen would help to finish off Yuwach but he did plan far enough ahead to have that in mind, which is a hellova lot better than the "oh shit I gta end madara but I didn't think this far ahead" asspull that was black zetsu in Naruto. Yeah he did drop the ball on a fair few fights to be fair and I think you missed one aswell, Lilliebarro and the zanpakuto that just so happened to be able to reflect light and was built to slay gods, mighty convenient that one! I did like the theme of that fight though, depicting the bad guy as an angel, I do like Kubo's tenancy to reverse roles like that. Although a fair few fights made up for it, Ichigo vs Ulquiorra was a real "kyuubi moment", Yuwach vs old man yammy was hyped since the soul society arc, Ichigo vs Aizen was just cathartic as hell after a whole 3 arcs of Aizen flexing and Gremmy vs kempachi was fun to read and had an unexpected ending. Overall I'd say Kubo isn't a bad writer he's just annoyingly inconsistent.
I’m only on episode 125 and it seems like it’s going to be another anime that ends horribly unless I’m wrong the anime is good but I just can’t stand when people end their anime horribly instead of making everything good at the end

Man, most people think Bleach is just a kid's show.. but this is so dark man, nice video!
Thanks man! Yes lots of dark themes in Bleach. Lots of great anime in general are deeper than people would like to think, happy to shed some light on it!
@@LegendsAreLessons Right, especially what happened in the comics, we think the quincies are the enemies but to think the soul society has some dark secrets, namely Ichigo being the Soul King.
@@Mars-td7pb For real. Each race has some dark secrets of its own. I am sure there is a lot we have yet to discover as well.
I like Kubo's story. Bleach the story that has no heroes noir does it have villains. Fantastic, there is no clear line between evil and good.
Man that Evangelion theme I wish it was used for yhwach it just fits him so much
For real its perfect for him. I actually did an analysis video on it talking about why I think its the perfect theme for him check it out!
Technically Yhwach got what he wanted.
Immortality. Unable to die.
I've just realized something when we look back to how yhwach was created the way he was created is more busted than any of his abilities everything that touches him become his that includes the sternriters as well so basically everyone will become part of him
Also how he already knew what it was like to be in the Kings position (in his case he was born without sight or any of his senses as well as the ability to move. Practically stillborn with the exception of still somehow being alive regardless). He's basically going straight back to that, but add half dead to the list
I really like your writting on your video good job dude!
Thanks! Check out the other videos in this series as well!
The next video will be an extra one for my cfyow series. Im going to try to post more on here. Let me know what you all think about this editing style for this vid I have been looking to change things up.
Your editing game really stepped up for this video. What software are you using to make some of these edits?
@@justinpachi3707 Thanks appreciate it! I use a bunch tbh I'm hopping around to see what's the best. Used alot of after effects and premiere pro for this vid, but also a bit of sony Vegas and capcut.
Everything from the editing, music choice to the subjects you discuss is on point for me
I am really existed for more manga material to come out (and anime of course) since bleach youtube is really growing big with all the deep theory and lore channels coming up
@@taelir8599 Thanks for letting me know! Lots to come, editing takes long af as you can imagine lol but the scripts and stuff are pretty much done for future vids. Im excited for bleach's return too, really hope kubo brings back the manga.
Can you make a video on why kisuke didn’t give hogyoku to ichigo . Kisuke told in cfyow that he can’t give it to him as it disrupts the balance or something
Holy fk this vid was soo good
Seriusly such a lovely vid so good i have to share this. Well composed video yhwach is a character that i even like more than johan liebert and light yagami. But truly sad how the antagonist was not the monster but arguably the soul reapers forcing this world to continue through endless torture :(
Thank you my friend! Yes this is a side that many don't ever contemplate I am glad to hear you enjoyed the video!
Damn so Yhwatch suffered a fate worse than Death
Yeah pretty much. He suffered the worst fate possible.
I really wish he could have avoided his fate 😔
This was the first videonive seen of yours and it made me binge all your content I'm glad I found you before you blow up like you will! If your hiring a video editor I'd love to work with anime content!
Thanks! I don't have the funds to hire anyone at this point but I appreciate the gesture!
@@LegendsAreLessons well if you do in the future can I call dibs haha your picking up momentum dont quit ! Lol
Those kept dripping off him and those were remnants of him, they can't revive him, but they are a part of him
pretend yuhas a pc they didnt turn him on just used him for scrap metal,
None of that was stated so it is up to interpretation. He probably wasn't dead and if he was, he had the soul kings powers within him so maybe it was still strong enough to function. He was probably put in a state similar to the soul king, on the brink of life and death and sealed off.
@@LegendsAreLessons u basically just said an explained version of my theory
Our mc is allied to the shinigami
Terrence Rosebloom my sentiments too. There is a reason why his shinigami powers are represented as a demon
@@deuntaethomas7437 ikr
Absolutely agree with you! more than half of the troubles in the world, including the enmity with the Quincy, happened precisely because of the Shinigami, but very often they even refused to admit it. Reyo did nothing wrong to them, but they decided to seal him. Ichigo trusted them and saved them more than once, but they were still ready to kill him. When I rewatched Bleach, it was even unpleasant for me to look at them. Even Hollows are more human.
Not related but goddamn that editing, what software did you use for editing?
Used a few different softwares tbh. Most of it done through after effects and Premiere though
3:30 I know it’s the same composer but that’s Evangelion 2.22
Yeah Fate is an amazing theme. I made a video explaining why I think it's the perfect theme for Yhwach as well check it out!
that thing could also be ichigo
So they're preparing ichigo & his offspring as a soul king substitution ?
Yes in a sense Ichigo is next in line if something happens
5:40 Rains of Castamere?
Yes! I felt it fit the sad mood I was trying to portray😁
Aizen did nothing wrong
Didn't Juha get freed in the hell arc as said by Szayel, or am I forgetting something?
No he is the current soul king, unless he got replaced after cfyow which I don't think is likely. Granz mentioned how he had crazy spiritual powers and his defeat upset the balance of the world from what I remember I think that's what you are referring too.
@@LegendsAreLessons Ah yes that's true I think. I'm gonna have to reread the chapter after I Finnish rereading the series. I'm just finishing up the arrancar arc.
@@KON853 Nice! I really enjoyed my second run through of bleach, noticed and appreciated so many things that I didn't the first time around.
@@LegendsAreLessons that's fax bro. After I finnished the Rukia vs Arroniero fight, I literally had to sit there and think “How the heck do people think Bleach fell off and Soul society is the peak of bleach”.
@@KON853 Maybe they watched the anime. Fillers slowed things up but the manga was straight 🔥 throughout
I mean now he isnt the soul king right his vestiges dispapered.right?
No he still is the Soul King, but his remaining remnants around the world have disappeared from what we know. He carried so much power that it scattered to all over.
Fun fact: In OG hebrew God is only ever actually called YHWE, to this day people still have no idea how to pronounce this name.
Yeah you can arguably say the same about Yhwach too hahah
@@YuVen3487
It is lazy storytelling and you can see that the last Arc was rushed as fuck.
For example:
Against Ichibe Yhwach explain that "No attack he has seen can be used to hurt him let alone kill him."
Against Ichigo he explains that he looks into hundrets if not thousands of possible futures and as you stated "cherry picks" the one he likes.
Using the multiple timeline trope in fiction is de-facto lazy unless you apply a strict rule set to it (see any star trek episode that deals with it for an example of how not to do it) that's why I said that Kubo didn't establish it as a thing in Bleach. it means that anything that ever happens in the plot can be easily retconned without much effort (like you suggested in your op that Yuwach is basically unkillable)
in fact your proof of this is Ichigo's son beating an aspect of Yuwach, which is better explained by the fact that he absorbed the soul King, including Mimihagi (whose powers represent stillness)
better to use the established narrative, in this case either a piece of the soul Kings powers (which Yuwach made his own) or a piece of himself frozen by Mimihagi, rather than inserting a multiple timeline analogy which isn't represented at all in the manga.
@@YuVen3487
You got a point with Suigetsu.
Its kinda sad tho that Kubo added so many BS characters:
- Barragan (got killed by bs)
- Yami....walking pile of bs.
- Gerhard (only Yhwach can kill him)
- Yhwach unkillable Nazi Jesus.
