Video Game Collection Hidden INSIDE HIS WALLS! Game Room Tour
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 сер 2024
- This is one of the most well-organized, well designed game rooms I've ever seen.
You may know Mega Cat Studios as an awesome video game company that has released hits like WrestleQuest and Bite the Bullet but the head guy, James, keeps it humble. His business card just says 'video game enthusiast' with a huge passion for retro. While I was in Pittsburgh he gave me a tour of his video game room which has some impressive pieces, great stories and fun concepts that anyone can utilize for their game room.

What type of game should Mega Cat Studios and myself team up for next time? megacatstudios.com/
A Sega Genesis styled game. Maybe something similar looking to Comix Zone would be interesting to see.
RPG.
Do a link to the past type game
If you're taking requests, Teddy Ruxpin never got the game he deserved.
@@dragongamer2670 Music and the ambiance it creates is SOOOOOO overlooked in this era! Recall Super Castlevania, Link to the Past or even Super Mario World. Those guys had amazing soundtracks and the people who created those were/are geniuses.
Wow, one of the most impressive collections I've seen... And the way he has it all set up and stored is incredible!! Could spend weeks in there playing games and only scratch the surface lol
This is the best "Man Cave" involving retro games iv seen yet. The luxury to put the games away and not have them on display 24/7 seals the deal for me.
Wow, what an awesome collection. The console setup/storage is just nuts. Great video!!
Mic him up next time, can hardly hear a word he's saying.
Yeah, I even had to boost him a bit. A baby was sleeping downstairs during this
JR is a lazy bastard
This dude is really living his best life. Wow!
all these games and, with his crazy work schedule, barely time to just sit and play anything. like most of us.
@JohnRiggs then what's the point of it all?
@@samthemadman5000Retire early and play games all day long.
@Canadas_Very_Own I've been doing it from 4 years old til now(33), have enough games to play and have a job that pays well enough to work 4 days a week that's very rewarding and enjoyable 😉
His organization and taste in collecting is absolutely great! At first I was going to be critical about HD retro gaming on modern tvs, but then he pulled out the PVM! Imo that’s the only was to get a true retro gaming experience (PVM, CRT) Very cool, clean, organized collection! Love it!
I love how clean this gameroom is. I love the kiosks and the signs . Very very cool
wow, what a fun tour. thanks for taking us along and him for allowing us in
What a glorious gaming room - clean, spacious and considered. Thanks for sharing.
As a person with huge OC(D), I can really appreciate how neat this man's house is, his layout and collection is absolutely gorgeous!!
he probably has that also
Pull away shelves is a awesome idea and that spaceship looking T.V. is just straight up phenomenal!
Dude, I actually had a similar idea of moveable racks that go into the wall like that! Only problem is finding a house with the right space. I like all my stuff dust free and low maintenance as much as possible.
That's a big collection, congrats man
Of all the times that people like to say “oh this person must be rich to have a collection like this”, this is a time where I’d say this is probably true. But hey, even if it is I’m definitely not trolling. This makes me happy to see. Rich or not, this is a beautiful set up. Exactly how I’d spend my money 🙂
The trick is to buy all this stuff before prices skyrocketed.
@@JohnRiggs facts but not your average person can afford this house or that hidden game wall
sound more jealous dude xD
This guy has the best game room setup of all time. Just a huge flex in every square inch of that room/house/compound/whatever it is.
That’s it. He won.
Different take on a game room. Definitely very modern. I’d love something like that.
Holy crap. This is what I've always had in mind for my game room/bar. Unreal!
Damn, all of that talk of Nintendo Age and Sega Age. I miss those places dearly
Tell this dude we need more NES games and Genesis games and SNES games. This was cool, your a lucky guy for sure :)
This room was AWESOME.
Huge fan of Mega Cat too, and what they are doing.
Wow, if this is just his attic, imagine what the rest of house looks like! Impressive!
There are game stores today who don't have such an impressive collection.
Can't wait to see you guys this weekend!
Definitely a pretty amazing setup! I didn't know the red tents had legs as an option...
apologies for being extra 'mouth breathy' in this video. Sometimes my phone picks it up extra-extra.
You aint no ape your a troglodyte!!!😂
Not only he has an awesome collection but also has it outstandingly displayed. Good showing and cool video John!👉😃👈
Impressive collection, yeah! Awesome stuffs. Great video 👍 ☕️
I have no fascination with games whatsoever, but I love seeing dudes getting real nerdy , shits so wholesome
His collection is impressive but the room feels like a creepy, empty, liminal space.
Love that World of Nintendo sign. But I'm most impressed by all the shelves, the functionality and how immaculate the room is.
Now thats one unique and cool-looking Game Room!
And I believe that Mitsubishi CRT TV is one of the biggest ever made.
Suuuuper dope!
As soon as I saw the thumbnail clip with the sliding wall of games I knew... this guy just earned a legendary badge in my mind
I want that nes controller table
Ah, I was wondering what to do for my next nefarious heist.
Thank you, good sir.
He mentioned Virtua Fighter which is one of my favorite fighting game franchises so he get my respect lol
Insane setup. I would never leave the house.
One of those Genesis games has a big Blockbuster sticker on it that’s covering up most of the label. It came from Blockbuster.
where did he get that spinning thing for his gameboy games that is genius.
It was a generic stand used for earrings or something.
This is a super mature persons game collection!! So cool man.

I like this guy : ). The Sega Genesis was my very first video game console back in late 1992 when I was around 5 years old so I can relate to him there. I would love to see some future Mega Cat Studios games in the style of Sega Genesis graphics/gameplay.
John has seen way cooler things in Pittsburgh in the few days that he was here than I have in the 50 years that I have lived here . 😆 😢 .
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and after many years in the military, I returned only to find out that the "Steel City" had become San Fran/Portland levels of de-evolution from positive masculinity - I no longer live there.
Epic collection. But I would just get stressed out, having that many games and systems. 😂
Blark meme time!
They're in the walls... THEY'RE IN THE G*DD*MN WALLS !"
Wow! That is a collection!
amazing collection , guy seems like he likes to hear himself talk a lot imo - love ya Riggs
John Riggs and the collection
That’s high density storage. We use the same exact system for file storage at work. Expensive to put in
Imagine if something like an earthquake hits and all of those fall off the shelf while inside. Getting the damn thing open would be a nightmare. Cool idea, but I wouldn't trust it myself.
That storage/console cabinet is NUTS!
What's this guy do for a living. I'm in the wrong job. Nice collection.
19:50 WOW, love that PS display
young ron jiggs doing it big time
Good Lord, dude's house has to be massive!
Wow. You need to go back and just film a silent walk around. this one is Epic.
This big box is insane, i never seen some like that, hahaha.
By the Elder Gods! That looks incredible
Dope collection
good god that's an impeccable game room.
That is just epic. If I ever had the space this would be my setup.
This game room is insane! So awesome!
NEXT LEVEL
Idk how much those little Famicom disk cabinets go for. They look pretty rare. Remember the NES, Genesis, SNES, PS1, N64 and Dreamcast ones with drawers in them?
Very nice collection. Love the setup. Doesnt look clutted
The previous homeowner used the hidden room for something else.
Yooookkk very cool but what do u really do with that stuff DUST Collectors! I ha. A game room too and got to the point where it’s jus stuff he will never play with those games and they will jus sit there to look at😮
Lol literally my exact story about neo geo. I wanted to play metal slug . I was really into arcade shooters and that was the pinnacle of shooters . So i got into the rest of neo geo after soon learning about its history and basically a privilege to have it
Beautiful setup! Would love to build an Arcade cabinet for you some day 🙌🏻
Nice, sorry I don't have that much space.I would also like to show my collection everything is put in boxes
So excited to meet you at retro game con tomorrow
Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to your panel but hopefully I’ll find you on the floor
An amazing set up! 💯
Diablos amigo hoy conocí la envidia de la buena que gran colección tienes disfruta y sigue cuidando de ella 💪😎🍻
Love that Mitsubishi Megaview!
That sonic logo a over the sink is sweet. I have one gripe. Paint those walls! Bring some color to the room.
Should have some gaming murals painted on them.
Best room on the planet
what a smart and clean gameroom!
WOW! That is incredible!!!
Man I loved Hills went to them all the time in Ohio them and Meijer as back then we didn't have any Walmart's in our area.
Wow. Really amazing collection and room. ❤
Seems like a cool dude. Awesome setup
Holy smokes!
This is amazing. I want to see how all the system wires are run.
11:21 - hah I had to do that with a GIANT Hyundai display case, old school one, from a dealer that was moving. I just put it on the roof of my Hyundai Pony and drove it home. I think I may have tied it down, I don't remember but even 20s me would have probably secured it somehow. It made it!
This guy's expendable income is amazing. Lol
Such a cool snes table
Holy Crap! He's got everything! What does he do for a living?!
You gotta invest in a second mobile mic, Riggs! I can barely hear a word that guy is saying.
This video makes me way too jealous. Thanks alot 😕
Then think of the back log anxiety you would get from that kind of collection ;) 99% of that stuff will sit there and never get a lot of mileage
Yooooo that $3,000 cart is not a bad gift at all.
Great collection showcase. Next time give your guest his/her own mic. For me, as a non native English speaker, it's important to have good audio. I heard a lot of mumbling instead of clear speaking. 😅
Man you took the Pittsburgh Grand Tour! Glad you got to visit! Please tell me you tried Primantis!
I hadn't, believe it or not. Everyone keeps recommending it but I'm not much for burgers and hate coleslaw so I'm not the target demographic.
@@JohnRiggs it's not just burgers! And it's not normal Cole slaw. It's basically cabbage and vinegar.
That guy is a monster
This is a good fella
Million-dollar game room there, geez, so cool.
Out of sight, out of mind - literally a supercomputer sized piece of furniture in the room lol.
haha, well, there's that.
@@JohnRiggs I wonder how much it all weighs too :S Nice setup, but can the home handle the load of the awesomeness?
The house of my dreams
YEEEEEEEES!
so awesome, but why do you have a shelf of games that you dont play? seems odd to me to collect games you dont have any desire to play? whats the point?
The point is it’s his and not yours so who cares
awesome
Wow, this is epic.
