    You redo this with smaller sections and use cold air to dry your hair. Also use more moose and another product that gives more hold and less frizz.

      She didn't need to use more moose or another product. What she used was fine. Her hair only got fizzy cause It wasn't dry yet. Cold air is only gonna take her hair even longer to dry.

    You may just need to do smaller sections. I know you used alot of rollers and they werent fully dry, but thats probably why. The sections were probably just too big.

    • @ellemarie12
      @ellemarie12 5 років тому +21

      That's what I was thinking. I saw several people do it and used much smaller sections than that and slept in them over night and they had no problems

      @Deanna Cauley I get why you would say that, but a Spoolie and this are very similar in design, so I dont see how the materials used in one would effect the outcome of the hair. I really believe she just needs to try a different size section and a different way of putting them in.

    I think where you are going to keep bumping into trouble is saying the name of the original product and using the knock off product. It would be better for you if you describe the product you bought and leave the real product out of the videos. Gives you plausible deniability when the real company comes to you saying "You are telling people how to give China, money for the knock off of MY product. The cheaper alternative does not represent us at all, safety and quality wise " regardless if it does or not, just heads up, it'll keep ya out of legal trouble. Only sending love your way girl, keep up the great work

    I agree with the consensus that it was probably the technique and sizing. All the successful results I saw they used a moisturizer and a little gel. Also placing the roller near the scalp and rapping it from the root to the ends. Prepare to air dry 24 hours. Smaller sections you probably need to use about 10-15 more . Maybe secure it with a net to assist in holding them in place. If you have a lot of hair on the section it will take longer to dry. Caaliyah has long hair but it’s probably not as thick as yours and she had kinda small sections. I hope you won’t be discouraged and see what you could have done differently and try it again. The curls that dried were beautiful and definitely worth trying to get those results all over!

    I've seen people use these rollers with long natural hair and have great results. Maybe more dry time and smaller sections might work better. Doing your hair in large sections makes it have for the air circulation to get through your hair to dry. Plus rolling your hair all the way up to the root might help as well. I think I will try these out too! Great video!

    I think you should try this again with some of the advice suggested below (e.g. smaller sections, roll from top to bottom, don't have your hair soaking wet). Although if you did smaller sections, you might need another set since you have dense hair. If you can get a bomb flexi rod set, you just might be able to get a bomb hair spoolie set 👍

    There's lots of ways you can do heatless curls without having to buy things, you can use socks, use a stretchy hairband, cut up pieces of fabric, even using paper. At least then you wouldn't be wasting money either!

  • @lorihilliard1018

    I have very thick and long hair as well. I have used these and made the same mistake of assuming they would dry like most rollers. They need more time to dry. I had to leave mine in about a day and a half if they were air dried. I haven't used them under a dryer. The curls are very pretty when they have dried completely. I had to use very small sections as well. So, I would suggest you retry it with much smaller sections and allot for ample time to dry.

    It does work for long and thick hair the real ones do and you can sit under the dryer but it's the real ones that work your hair is still pretty

    Perhaps the brand-name ones are a better quality silicone and wouldn't melt? I just checked their website and they claim that they 'are heat resistant and can be used with a hair dryer as indirect heat' (also, they have a jumbo size that looks bigger than the large ones you have there). Knock-offs can sometimes be just as good as brand-name products, but sometimes they just suck.♥
