THIS IS STOPPING YOU FROM BEING A BETTER FPV DRONE PILOT

  • In this video I discuss what skill you should practice in order to improve at flying FPV drones. Not practicing this skill is stopping many FPV pilots from reaching their full potential. Most FPV pilots never fly line of sight or completely forgot how to all together. Being able to fly your FPV drone line of sight is critical for developing the right spatial awareness skills when it comes to being a successful FPV pilot. It may also save you in an emergency situation where you may loose video feed and have no choice but to save your drone by flying is LOS (line of sight). Do you wonder how you can improve at FPV? Watch the video to find out more.
    When it comes to learning things off the internet, you need to know the source is legit. I’ve seen it all in the RC hobby over the past 10 years, and my experience is now going to be your knowledge. Have you ever asked yourself: "how can i get better at fpv?", "how to enter the fpv flowstate?", "what is the fpv flowstate" or "what is the secret to the flying fpv drones like a master".. if so then this video IS for you!!!
    PLEASE BE AS SAFE AS POSSIBLE WHEN DEALING WITH DRONES AND LIPO BATTERIES THEY ARE NOT TOYS!
    I want to create a community here, and this is the start of the culture.

    Useful skill, I see some of the best pilots fly LOS incredibly well… look at MCK flying basically anything. I think it’s super important to be able to fly in every possible way. A holistic understanding and skillset will make you better, no question.
    It also doesn’t really matter if you can see what direction your quad is facing, the response to its movement is all you need to be able to see, I have seen people fly silly far LOS with a 5” similar to quadmovr standard flying… and Alex Vanover recovering after a video failure.
    Skills! Definitely helps having them!!! I definitely need to work on this! Thank you for the inspiration!

      Very very true.. I could not have said it any better! That is true..
      MCK is truly special, a talent who puts all the hours in! You make a good point, if you are really "inside" the quad even when you are extremely far LOS you should be able to have that feel for it! I am also trying to work on it!
      The skillset truly comes in very handy when recovering from video failure, its easily the difference between loosing your equipment or not. Alex Vanover definitely possesses the special ability too! Thanks for watching and your well thought out comment! I always look forward to hearing your perspective :)

    LOS is nice sometimes, but a quadcopter looks equal from each side in a distance. However l can fly deeper to the ground without crashing it.

    WOW man!!! Good timing, some hours ago I was flying my quad and got a frozen screen, so I took my goggles out and could take the quad back home in LOS. That was thanks to Ashley Davis (Velocidrone developer) tutorial videos on how improve LOS flying in the simulator. Now my quad is safe until the next battle and you made my day postlng this video. Such a coincidence. Cheers! ✌️😎🤜🤛😄

    I do fly LOS with my FPV kwads here & there, but when I get past about 25 ft from myself it becomes increasingly difficult to tell which way the kwad is facing. I guess I need more practice, huh?

    I flew line of sight for the first 10 years of my heli flying hobby. While knowing how to 3d helps understand a few things you are also unlearning habits that are bad for FPV. To me it's probably a 60 40 split in favor of learning line of sight. In other words, your time is better spent on sim and tuning/translating your own "style" to the feel you can Excell with in real life.

    • @Inertia888
      @Inertia888 Рік тому +1

      My first year of flying quadcopters, I flew only LOS, just because I didn't have a set of goggles yet. I got ok at it, but still, compared to wearing the FPV goggles, I end up breaking a lot more arms and stuff. LOS is important to learn, but can be a little more expensive (not counting the price of the video transmitter gear😜). At least if you have the habit of pushing your limits as you learn.
