  • Grand Empire Panel Fence Review
38 Panels and around 46 stakes and 2 gates cost around $1300
Pretty simple to install and you can move anytime and add to the fence.

We just put ours up and it went real smooth. I like it a lot. The only thing I don’t like is the gate. I don’t like the latch.

Great video. Thank you for clarifying the installation process and showing us the outcome. I have a question for you. Do you know if this would work on a slope, this kind of fence?

This fence is not made for the hard Piedmont soil of the Carolinas. You have one shot with the stake (can't adjust at all after they are in deep enough to test) I tried everyway and I'm always off just slightly.

You mentioned that pond twice, seems like you miss it! Nice fence.

how tough is it to install on a slope? looks like there is a bit of grade near the house.

I installed this last August, and am very pleased with the look and durability of the fence. However, the gates are a different story. I have 3 gates; 2 on each side of the house and one in the rear of the back yard. My problem is none of the pairs of gate panels are even, despite my exhaustive attempts to adjust them. Needless to say, unless the left and right sides of the gate are perfectly aligned, horizontally and vertically, the latch mechanism isn't going to work properly. Two of the gates are so bad I don't even use them, and the other one I have to pull the left side up so it aligns with the right and close the latch while keeping it aligned, and it still doesn't look very good. In short, did you have the same challenges, or am I missing a key aspect of gate installation? At this point, I'm exploring alternative latches, as the existing latch seems very poorly designed, even if installed properly. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

I also have two gates & they will not align properly, I have two dogs to contain so that's a bummer

How do you locked the stakes/posts with the arrow? I believe after you driven the arrow into the ground, the ground covers the screw hole.

The panels come in fixed widths. Anyway to adjust the width to accommodate the required length of the fence?

Since I have moved my fence around several times since I have done this video, I learned you don't need those ground stakes.

So this installs well on slopes? Assuming it "free Floats" on the posts?

You can adjust the ground anchor up or down to adjust for higher or lower.

Once you put your first couple sections down you get the hang of it. The ground was much softer then now.

Ya I actually got finished about a hour or so ago. Did 34 feet of fence. Only easy one was the first one. Every single one after was hard because my ground isn’t soft. If you got good topsoil it would go in much easier. But for me it was a lot of hammering. I went to get a rubber mallet and did the best I could. Turned out pretty nice. Just going to lay some mulch to match the other mulch around my garden and pool and put it on the fence post where they go into the ground. Make it look a lot better. Thank you for your help!!

My son is 8 and pretty strong (he's autistic) and we want to put up temporary fencing in backyard of rental home. Do you think this will hold up? We were thinking the XL fencing.
