- The Old Salty Dog has 3 locations in Sarasota County. One location on Siesta Key, another location at City Island, just south of Longboat Key, and another location in Venice. They specialize in deep fried hot dogs.

Nice views of the water while dining. Since Shawnasi likes pineapple on burgers has She ever had the BANZAI burger from RED ROBIN? Its awesome. Has 2 slices of pineapple and teriyaki glaze on it.
We've not actually been to a Red Robin yet. I don't think there's one any closer to us than Charlotte.
But I'm definitely going to mention that to her. Our son just moved to Charlotte last week, so I'm sure we will be down there more often than we have in the past.

Sorry you were disappointed with the coleslaw and pineapple on the burger. We had a Hawaiian burger in Hawaii and loved it. Since then we've had different combinations of pineapple on a burger at different restaurants. I know Shawnasi was disappointed not to have a bigger piece of pineapple. If you asked they may have brought you another slice of pineapple. Hopefully when you go to Siesta Key your coleslaw will be right.
Yeah, it was small. But I actually grilled her hamburgers and a pineapple a few weeks back, so she'll be okay. I'll make sure and do it again when we get home. 🤣
The coleslaw was definitely disappointing, though. I remember that from last year, and you could really taste the pineapple in it. And we got it again when we went to the Cattleman in El Paso, so this time was definitely a letdown in that regard.
I would want to sit outside and eat if the weather permitted for sure. That is so disappointing not getting the food the way you were expecting.
Yes, especially when we'd had it before, and it was different on our return visit.
The slaw maker must have fallen asleep.
