Awesome review. I really like how you went over all of the tones you can get with the guitar. And I especially liked the sounds of the 80s shredding at the end and the choice of songs!
Thanks a ton! LOL! Yeah, I'm not much of a shredder so it was kind of fun. I actually broke a string mid-recording that part.
Thanks for reviewing, I just have a question, how does the body Nyatoh tonewood sound, how do you describe ot? How does the neck feel compared to a Fender modern C shape neck? Thanks in advance 🙏
Thank you so much for the video! You are the only one that gave justice to this guitar out of so many demos!
Wow, thanks!
Miss all of you! Mark your always a pleasure to listen, watch and learn. I am pretty much okay with 8 treatments left. Peace, love and seaya, Ma
Oh my! So great to hear from you Mary Ann!! Glad you're doing okay with the treatments. I'm doing another Sunday live show next week (the 12th) at the usual 12:00 pm time. If you can't make it I certainly understand, but would *love* to see you there!
Take care and see you soon! -MZ
Well done Mr Zabel as usual. Doesn't sound too bad at all. Thanks
Many thanks! Yes, I feel the same. Not the most fantastic thing I've ever heard, but it's pretty good, it plays well, is decent quality, and has great features. Shows you what you can get in the $400-$700 range now. Other companies like Yamaha are responding.
Good looking guitar, and it does sound good, nice demo Mark.
Thanks brother!!
I'm thinking about getting the teli version of this. Two humbuckers with coil split and 22 frets is all I need. Thanks for the video Mark, love your channel!
Thanks! I think I did a review of the Tele version. Really nice guitar.
I have the HB 25th Aniversary Tele Fusion and the Traditional 25th Aniversary Tele, I love them but I was not too keen on the Tesla bridge pickup in the Fusion as the mids were far too scooped for my taste but I fixed that with my EQ pedal and a treble boost, the Fusion has a really good flamed maple neck and fretboard, when I saw the review of the guitar it had an outrageously flamed neck and I thought "oh mine will not be anywhere near as good as that" but it was even better!
The only thing I had to do with them was increase the height of the action slightly on the Fusion as it was too low for my taste and I had to intonate the D and B strings as they were slightly sharp, the Traditional Tele was perfect in every respect
IMO you are getting Charvel specs for a fraction of the price.
Nice demo. I bought one a couple of weeks ago on Black Friday cos I was bored working from home. My favourite guitar was a Fender 66, but I have a good feeling about this…
Good luck! Mine plays great and sounds pretty good too!
7:05 great funky riff! I love it! Greetings from Germany!
Hey, thanks! Greetings from NY, USA!
Good morning….yes here in Sweden it’s morning right now the 30th of may 2022. I’m a fan of affordable guitars and a big fan of HB. I just bought this guitar model but with another setup with pickups. I’m looking forward to get it home. I like your reviews and I think you are a good teacher to learn out melodies for me who is a old learner of this fantastic instrument. Keep up the good work and bring more videos 👍🤟👍🎸🎸
Thanks for watching. Glad you're enjoying the videos, and I hope you enjoy the new guitar too!
Yeah..a good set of pkups for sure..
Definitely.
Sounds pretty good cheap as chips yeah cheers Mark.
Thanks! "Cheap as chips". I like that!
that thing is awesome.
Incredible for the money for sure.
The best review of this guitar 👍🏻
Thanks!
That shipping time is amazing. Similarly i bought a 1970s Yamaha Studio Lord in an ebay auction from a seller in Japan in mid October. I was expecting a month for delivery and got it within the week.
That's great!
Thanks, very nice review. The only thing missing IMHO was the use of the tremolo bar to check the tuning stability but, for the price, that also can be improved as much as the pickups. I remember, the very first Harley Benton guitar I have put my hands on was somewhere during the middle 90's, it was just a piece of wood with some strings on it. They have come a long way after that. Nice journey !
Thanks. I pretty much never use the tremolo, but I can tell you that these Wilkinson trems do very well. They really are excellent for the money ... actually, just excellent. Fun to play, sound good and have great features.
they are great. no worries. quality tremolo. I would take that any day prior a Fender Tremolo. Own both.
TOP DEMO !!!!
Thanks!!
you got my attention with free ride-edgar winter sound right
Thanks!!
I feel like anyone who plays with high gain tones might as well get the Fusion III with EMGs built in. They are about the same price as the others. Unfortunately, they always seem to be sold out.
Should i by this one or the Hagstrom F200P. ?? Can get the hagström with hardcase for 300€.
Nice review man. I really like Harley Benton guitars. As far a bang for your buck goes, they beat Ltd imo. They're great guitars, and for the money, you can afford to mod them. A modded Harley Benton, makes for a great guitar that beats out other guitars costing many times more.
Thanks Randy!
Great review, ordered this guitar a week ago will definitely change the pickups in the future. What pickups would you put into the guitar as a replacement mark?
Thanks Colm! There are so many options and it really depends on what you're looking for. There's Fender's American Performer HSS set, which is probably good. I've got to do some research myself. I'm partial to Seymour Duncan, but there's nothing obvious I've seen there yet. Research time!
Cheap electronics and hardware
Irongear does a couple of great HSS sets.
i like that guitar
Me too!
can you take a picture of were to adjust the action please to lower the strings to the neck please
Nice review. What's the string spacing width at the neck like? I have large fingers and a nut width anything less than a standard Strat I find a bit cramped when playing open chords
Thanks. Darn! I forgot to put that in my review. It's 42mm. I prefer a wider neck myself, so that's my minimum as well. Thanks for pointing that out!
@@MarkZabel cheers Mark
You should compare with fender squier series has a Floyd Rose and locking trim you should try comparing it with that and it's under $400 although I do like the two-point trim and the stainless steel frets it's just the pickups Im not sure about? At any rate great review thank you very much sir and you have a wonderful day
You have a great day too!
These seem to really punch above their price point. Did you have to pay import fees to get it to the US? I can’t find a good answer on how much.
Great content and review!
If I did, they were lumped into shipping and the price of the guitar. The price was something like $375 when I got it a couple of months ago. All in it was about $450.
nice review,do you think the neck is perfectly thick for shredding or too thick for it based on your experience of that guitar?
Thanks. It's not too thick, but most shredders like a bit thinner neck. I have no issues with "I'm the One" on this guitar ... if you consider that shredding.
@@MarkZabel thank you 👍
Does the finish have any metallic flake?
Not this one.
I am hearing something buzzing during your clean playing.
I'd guess something might be loose on the bridge.
Could be.
I was looking at this HSS and the other matte daphne blue. Do you think this "Ice Blue" being a gloss finish (and darker) would hold up better. At least any minor scratches could be buffed out. Maybe the matte version would be more prone to chips. The only mods I would do is a new pickup set (Tonerider) and maybe new electronics and mechanical 5 way switch. The Ice Blue is cheaper than the Daphne Blue too. I think white pickups would look great on this gloss version.
Hey Steve. I'm sorry, I really wouldn't know the answer to your question.
Did you end up getting any of them?
@@Ben-ld1qi I almost was going to get a new Ice Blue on the HB Reverb US site. Then on Facebook Marketplace I scored a mint 25th Anniversary Fusion-III from someone in RI, USA. The stock Tesla HSS pickups are very good. I don’t see a need to change anything except I did change strings to 009’s. Only had an issue with some minor edge paint chipping when I removed the back spring over plate. It was on so tight as the route was undersized for both plastic plates. I had to file down the plate edges to make them fit without getting stuck. They must have forced them on at the factory! I’m trying to color match the Firemist gold/copper paint using nail polish if I can find the right shade of rose gold. Even though the ownership warranty transferred to me, HB could not provide touch up paint nor color code.
@@SteveMavronis Sorry to hear that HB could jot facilitate your requests... That's a nice guitar you got and I was considering it as well, I just couldn't make up if mind if I'll ever get used to that color. I mean it's nice looking definitely not my top 3 choices.
My brother wants to put an order on Thomann tomorrow and I can't decide if to get the Fusion III Roasted HH, HSS, or HSH. For HSS the nice colors are either Ice Blue or Flame Bengal Burst. For HH I kinda like the Cherry. The Blue Flame is alright as well.
Anyway I'm glad you got a nice guitar for yourself. Thanks for awaring in advance of the possible work that might be needed on it.
@@Ben-ld1qi what I like about the Firemist color is the shade. I like that it has a copper tone so to speak. But as far as the other Fusion-III’s, I really like the Ice Blue like in this video review. White pickups would look great too on the 25th, Ice & Daphne Blue versions. I liked the DB as well but only if was slightly darker. Some photos show it looking too pale. The official HB demo had the video darkened and saturated they told me. If only it really looked like that shade to the eye. As far as HB support goes they did try to help me. But as they are in Germany and the guitar was made in Indonesia I suppose getting touch up paint is a problem. They did suggest nail polish as a fix since I told them I’m fine doing DIY stuff myself. Good to know the guitar itself is still under warranty with me after I provided the original owners invoice copy.
is that truss rod adjustment pretty simple to adjust ?
Piece of cake. Much easier than at the top of the headstock. Don't need any special tools either.
does it come with a tool for that
@@freddysnightmare8391 Yes, but even a coat hanger would work. That's part of the beauty of it.
did you get from amazon ? if not whats the link please young man
@@freddysnightmare8391 I'm fairly sure I said you can only get it from Thomann Music in Germany. www.thomannmusic.com/

See I wish I would have waited. Ahaha. I rather this HSS super strat than the fusion T Fnt. I love it but man. Thats nice!!!!!
It's great, BUT I'm jonesing for the Fusion T Fnt ... would you be interested Robert?? I'm just more of a Tele guy.
you bought that ? and how much does it weight young man
Yes I bought it. Haven't measured the weight. I'd say 7.5 lbs.
did you buy from Harley ?
@@freddysnightmare8391 Harley Benton doesn't sell guitars. The only seller is Thomann Music. The link is in the description.
Great guitar. But.r 400.00 if you live in Germany
It's about the same in the USA now ... about $350 and $80 or so shipping. Still a very good price.
Why ? I DoNOT meed another guitarrrrr!
LOL! I know the feeling!!
Are you scure about nut? For me It is plastic
Yes, 100% sure. Graph Tech TUSQ nut.
@@MarkZabel I ordered a fusion III model, t-style with humbacker, it didn't say graptech and removing the strings I realized it was very smooth and easy to score.
