I love your videos and I've bought the Fusion-II HSH based on your first review of it. You also seem to be a good and chill guy. Have a nice day, especially during this crazy time with quarantine in more and more countries.
Man i just love you. And i love your videos. You are such a nice dude. I discoverd your Chanel just two month ago but I'm already a big fanboy. Greetings from Germany
really accurate reviews, and, very important as well, you play very well: so it is possible to understand what a good player thinks about the instrument. Thanks!
I just subscribed. I’ve seen my share of review videos but yours are the most comprehensive and yet “to the point”. No unnecessary noodling or mix. Just straight up true observations and testing. Thank you I look forward to watching more of your videos 👍
Hi Max, I have the HH FR and believe me, I get all the Strat sounds I need to play classic 70s ,80s metal/rock. I do have a Jackson Dinky with the HSH pickup set and you can really notice the difference. I truly love this Fusion, and now considering the CST 24T. Thanks for this wonderful review and I highly recommend Harley Benton Guitars!
Hey. I do believe you. I took both HSH and HH Fusion to the only gig I had this year and they performed well. As you said, all needed Strat sounds were there :)
Great video bro! I had to subscribe. Your sound quality is perfect. There was no guess work just the facts and your honest professional opinion. You kept it short simple and showed exactly how it was titled. Great job.....
Nice job Max!! Ive been looking at both of those and that definitely made my mind up. We have no where in the states we go play Thomann guitars. Somyour videos are a great help.
YES, please do a video on the Harley Benton Fusion HH Roasted Maple 22 Fret Neck. The HB Fusion HSH really needs to come with a Roasted Maple Neck and Fretboard with a Floyd Rose. But even if it doesn't at the great price for the HH MN FR adding a middle Single Coil like a DiMarzio Super Distortion is no biggie.
I would definitely go for the Floyd Rose version if it had more switching possibilities. At least splitting coils separately should be given. As to HSH guitars, why hasn't the so-called "Gilmour mod" become standard to put bridge and neck together in any position? Too many guitar players complaining of brainache in the face of choice, I suppose.
I agree I have the HH FR Roasted Maple (so much smoother) version but would buy the 3 pickup version especially with the Gilmour mod imediatelly. Cheers from Belgium and stay save
Great review! I just subscribed to your channel waiting for a FULL review at the Harley Benton Fusion ii HH FR roasted!!! The blue one you got there! Thank you!!
I'm laughing at myself. I kept waiting for the comparison of the HSH with the bridge and neck pickups in both humbucker and single coil variations. The reason is, on my Fusion ll with HSH, I installed an additional toggle switch to activate the bridge pickup in any position. The switch matches the split toggle exactly and looks factory and makes a huge difference to sound choices. I find I use it quite a bit. Nice review.
Damn what a jem of a channel I just found. Oddly enough I randomly saw a HB fusion that looked like Guthrie Govans signature guitar and thought wtf and had to do some research. Glad I found this channel because these are the type of reviews I personally want to see. Quick, yet thorough and concise.
Fantastic video. I wish they would also make fixed bridge versions. I love my Floyd Rose's, but sometimes miss the ease of changing strings and tuning a fixed bridge...
Would help if the HB had the VS100N instead of the cheaper Wilkinson bridge, mine was so unstable that I changed it out, had to make a bit more room in the cavity though, now it’s usable both ways and stays in tune. Got an HH though, but I only need a bridge humbucker anyway, the volume knob gives me all the versatility I need for what I play on that guitar.
I'm new to your channel & I have to say that it looked like you where having so much fun playing the two guitars . It was cool & im going to subscribe , & it was a great vid .
Roasted maple is also more rigid due to the decreased amount of H2O in the wood, not just look and feel, although I do really like the look and feel of a roasted maple neck for sure!
Happy Easter! I just went to the Thomann website, and I see a new model called the Amarok. Any chance you will be reviewing one in the near future? They look absolutely amazing! I may have to break down and order one without being able to try it out first.
I love the purple flame colour but it is not available with the roast maple neck, so to get the guitar I want I would have to buy two and swap the necks unless HB decide to do a roast maple neck version in purple flame
If you must choose your first guitar, it would be a fusion hsh or benton sc 550II? Does tesla pickups are better than rosswell's? And the bridge : tuneo matic or wilkinson?
It will be great if you make a review of the HH model!! Since body wood and pickups are the same, how much does the fretboard material influence the sound?
@Max Solo Music I really love your detailed reviews and comparisons... they are the best on youtube in my opinion! I intend to buy this Harley Benton Fusion-II HH FR... Would be nice to have your review on that before purchasing it. Thanks!
Thanks Max. I enjoyed the video. The HSH does seem more useful, given that you can get the bell tones that are found on a strat, as well as the standard humbucker tones. Both are quite pretty, though. I think HB's hit a nice stride with their designs, overall. Don't you?
What would be some really necesary upgrades? The pickups? That would be the only thing that comes to my mind. And for hard rock and metal what would be your best choice?
4:28 забыл сказать, что копченый гриф не играет каждый сезон туда-сюда. Это его основное преимущество. ENG: he forgot to say a roasted neck just doesn't make a relief to both sides depend on hot/cold weather. Which is the main advantage. And You still can get HSH with roasted neck as well.
Enjoyed the video thank you . also enjoyed Berlin dudes(and dudette) a big shout out to your drummer. Re the guitar: I am a sucker for an ebony fingerboard, HSS configuration with no coil split, which never seems quite right to me. I wonder if that neck pup is too hot for jazz. Thanks mate, your gear demos are great! I wish harley benton would make one with only bridge humbucker+fr and some shiny 80’ painting🤩. And just 22 frets🤗.
I read users feedbacks in Thoman site complaining about smaller size of humbucker holes, so if you want replace the Roswell/Wilkinson/(EMG?) you need routing the standard pickup shape. Is it possible? I watched your Amarok review and the out of axis pickup poles details; IMHO problem is related wrong assembled neck as unlucky buyers commented...
I don't think it's the neck. Apparently routings for pickups and for the bridge are not being made at the same time. Pickups cavities are 40x70mm, so any standard sized pickup should fit without any problems
@@MaxSoloMusic oh God I hope to be lucky and get a right drilled one. Any optional method to check if pickups are centered? I just got a used Gibson Melody 2014, with that money I could buy 2 HB! :)

Love the wookie bar demo! (that's what my 10 year old son calls the trem arm!) Just been looking for these on Thomann but realise they must have been discontinued for the Fusion III. That blue/roasted maple is gorgeous but 14-18 week wait currently on Thomann, boo!
Oh wow, 18 weeks, ouch! Yeah, honestly I don't get the idea of the update to the series III. There might be something going on in the background we're not aware of, like the model might have been moved to another factory or something. Who knows. I don't see why I would spend 600 euros on a big name brand if HB can offer the same sound and playability for half the price.
I'd say so. No reason why they wouldn't last. It's like those japanese guitars from the 70s and 80s. They were cheap back then but today people love them
I like roasted maple and for me it's worth a 100$ difference. If you never changed strings on a floyd equipped guitar it may be a bit challenging. Once you develop an approach to it it's fairly easy. Thanks so much for these comparisons! My two cents worth: though the hsh has more variety, the hh tones are fuller and more usable and much closer to the American strat you were A-B-ing in your first video... love the 3 way coil-split idea

I prefer HH because of most important factor - color.
