The big appeal to me are the stainless steel frets. Might pick this up. Wish Charvel would offer stainless Steel frets in their range that isn't custom shop 3K+ guitars. Other brands like Solar, Ibanez and ESP LTD atleast offers them for around 1-1.5K. I don't feel comfortable dropping the same amount for nickel frets when I have experienced SS frets. They're superior in every way. Feel and wear wise.
I don't think any Fender instruments offer it outside of Japan/USA and maybe Mexico? The more competition that does I'm sure we'll see it creep in. I was looking at the Vivaldi Charvel and it's a made in Korea model so I guess as other brands offer it the EVH/Charvel/Jacksons from these factories will at some point. Though there are plenty of people who don't like SS frets. I notice Chapman are offering SS on some models around ~1k.
@@tylerparker3024 I wanted to do this to my dk24, but the price to do a stainless fret job was close to $800. I can’t bring myself to put $800 worth of frets on a guitar I paid $1049 for 😥
Ordered one last night Cam, I watched alot of these reviews but knowing you play these particular style of guitars I valued your opinion more than most. As always stellar playing mate. 🤘
What a beauty of a guitar CC! You are playing and sounding better every video. BATM solo of Jake's was superb. May have to pick one of these up myself. Thank you Cameron!
Let me attest to the quality of these Fusion series. I've the first run Fusion T HH FNT and it is amazing. Still plays like the first day I got it. Even better. These are amazing and now my most played.
You are so super smooth cam. Visual and sound absolutely match your movement's.. u are the best at this and I don't even want to watch the others .. no matter who the guitar gods are..
Wow, you had me at stainless steel fret’s! Personally I have always loved them. Very smooth and slick feel to them. They will last virtually forever, and I’ve always paid a premium for them. So impressed that they come standard on a value guitar!
I bought a Fusion II used for very cheap and I'm still amazed at the quality. The only change I made to the guitar is to change the bridge humbucker to a Seymour Duncan JB (I guess the Fusion III bridge humbucker was upgraded sound wise). While I own some high end guitars, I'd definitely buy another Harley Benton. PS - I had to use Ernie Ball Primo Slinkys (9.5 - 42.5) on the Fusion II because it played and bent notes way to easy with a 9 set.
What the…?! Fantastic guitar! Stainless steel frets?! Roasted neck?! A Floyd FRT1000? . I thought for sure you would say Floyd Rose Special. But nope. They stuck the good one on it! The specs are incredible. And for 385? How they do it indeed.
The roasted Canadian maple neck and flame top on mine are just beautiful. It has a lot of features that most pay double for with other brands. I just have alot of guitars with Alnico 5s in them. This guitar is worth upgrading pick ups for. It truly does offer alot for your buck. Well spent on this model. Mine was 369.00 and I bought the hard case combo through thomann. With shipping it was like 504.99. Arrived way fast. Like 4 business days later. It does compare to my 93 pro Jackson dinky that has a branded jackson floyd rose from germany. This is a Japan mode, but rare. Reverse shark tooth inlays. Different then the necks today. Hockey stick neck style.
We all have to start somewhere… lol. Love the channel. Keep up the great work and please get a little better on the playing end of things… hahaha. Seriously great technique and tone.
That guitar seems like a great product especially at that price point !! BUT ... in your hands , I believe , any guitar would "sound" amazing !! Nice work , sir !!
Awesome! One thing I've found on the Harley Bentons is most when you get them have slightly scratchy frets. If yours does on the off chance, don't fret about it at all, just play it for a couple hours and they'll smooth out. They're so fun to play
I recently saw a video that stated HB is currently working on having US distribution. I’ll wait until then. Little spooked by the possibility of getting a guitar that needs to be returned, especially after the overseas shipping and dealing w/ customs

Bought my first one (Harley Benton Fusion-III HH FR EB FBLB) for $277.00. Loved it so much I bought a (Harley Benton Fusion-III HSH EB FBB B-Stock) for $199.00. Both guitars are gorgeous and needed NO adjustment. Just excellent! FYI shipping for 2 guitars from Germany to the U.S is only $66.83 if shipped together.
This is a nice guitar. So versatile in terms of the tone since it has a coil split. Nice guitar but it won't sound good without your great playing. Keep up the good job duude!
Great stuff Cameron, i got a video series idea that would no doubt be popular with beginners. Slower solos that sound good but not overly too hard to play live pink floyd time and ones similar.
Great review. I have this guitar but the II version, the only difference is separate switch for the coils. It is really insane value, the neck feels better than 2k USD guitars. The only thing that seems cheap is electronics (the volume is basically 100% or 0%), but can't really ask for everything.
Maybe change the wolume pod. Don't cost much. If you know how to soldering, or they can do it for you in the shop. or if you know someone who can. If you do it yourself, remember to take a picture beforehand so you can see which wire goes where.
I've just ordered a B-stock and since I do my own setups I feel confident I can make it work. Main reason to get one is to have good Floyd equipped guitar and try the roasted maple neck to see if I like it. I have bought a used fusion ll before and it was really good after some setup. The stainless steel frets are not the highest quality so they'll need care just like other frets, only just not as often. I've ordered a push in arm because I hate those collar tightened arms. It should be good from there on. I hope the pickups are ok, if not I have some Bill Lawrences ready to go 😉
I once bought a guitar for 50 dollars in Bucharest, Romania. I was amazed at how good it played. It wasn't a "good" guitar, but good enough for practise. And the VERY BEST 50 dollar guitar I've ever bought. OTOH £400 for that sounds pretty amazing!
As soon as you said Made in Indonesia, I have to assume it's made at the Cort factory. I have a couple of Squier Telecasters that are from that plant, and it's ridiculous how great the play for the money! I'm sure they have made some duds in that plant(they manufacture for other brands as well as for their own Cort brand) but I've yet to play one!

Didnt really have the scratch fret issue. Had very little neck adjustment needed either. Pretty set up nicely with mine. May need to adjust the floyd rose to be more level. But over all very pleased with it.
Thomann should really try to open some shops in the USA. I know people are gonna flock to this in-house brand more than Mitchell, which is the Guitar Center in-house brand…
1)Excellent review 2) Super tight chops & playing 3) Sweet tone - thanks for sharing 🙏 was wondering about your signal chain for this vid if u got time to share?
I basically paid for this guitar what the floyd rose and the tuners alone would cost, so I'm basically getting everything else free, it's a B stock but can't complain about anything. All I need from this guitar is decent body and neck, long lasting frets and a decent trem, everything else I can upgrade myself but I think as it is it should last me for a while and that is just incredible for the price.
The trem is good and the frets are stainless steel. Your boxes are ticked. The necks are really consistent on these guitars due to the nature of guitar manufacturing these days anyway. I've only ever had one finish flaw on a body and it's barely noticeable
@@CameronCooper , me neither but just a little demonstration covering everything the guitar has to offer helps the potential buyer in making a proper decision.
