    Beautiful camping spot, and the food looked delightful….I can’t think of a better place to sit and enjoy a meal……seriously, you guys should start a second channel about cooking in the outdoors…..I think it would be a hit!

    Your quote at the end, really explains your journey! That was a little piece of heaven on earth! What a beautiful campsite and so peaceful, and just gorgeous! Canada really does have us beat in that department! But it is so les crowded there too. That was an amazing place, and really friendly people too! Nobody is going to give up their trout to strangers here! It's either catch and release or they want to keep them for themselves. So we look forward to your next adventure!

      We are on a Neverending search of heaven on earth. We've been pretty lucky to be able to see and capture these amazing places. Some We've visited are on fire as we speak. It reminds us how fragile life is and to embrace these moments in beautiful places. I think you'll like our next episode. We made it to the Fraser river! Oh yeah!

      So cool it was free too. We were right outside a resort town (Kamloops) and this was way better than anything you could pay for.

    First up: the TP roll is on “backwards”. This invites the same “nope” as pineapple on a pizza! 🍍😂
    Next: I’m drooling at the fresh trout! 🐟 you did a great job cleaning the fish. You are a true fisherwoman! 🎣🛶
    Food out camping is so good! 🏕️ (Although vanlifers are always camping!)
    (Have to finish watching now)

    I always keep a tire plug kit in the glove box so I can fix a tire and you can always have it patched later. My daughter showed us a trick to put coffee in a aluminium dish and start it on fire and let it burn like incense to keep mosquitoes away not sure if you dry out used grounds would work but you could give it a try. I too love the loons, we have camped at a lake with them. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family.

    • @TheAdventureCloset
      @TheAdventureCloset  Рік тому +1

      We're gonna have to try that coffee trick out! Anything to ward off those pesky skeeters. We actually do have a plug kit. Through trial and error the plug kit is the best tool you can have for a flat. This leak was so slow we took the risk and got her to Canadian Tire for a fix. Thanks for watching. Hope you're having a wonderful week.

    That lake is beautiful and free trout for the win heck yeah , My dad and I used to do stuff like that for people when we would go fishing ( I hate cleaning fish I am really bad at it ) . Love that big ol beaver just cruising along in the rain , and I agree being on a boat listening to country would be awesome , especially old country like it sounds they were listening too LOL (New country 🤮). Canada has some beautiful scenery and I love the sound of a loon they have such a magical call ( haha I just got to the part where you talked about the loons after I typed this ) . Greg has sold Canada hard to me but you guys have me not just wanting to go but needing to go.
    Great video stay safe ( and maybe bring me a baby beaver, but dont tell Shari she says we have enough pets LOL )

    • @TheAdventureCloset
      @TheAdventureCloset  Рік тому +1

      No new country allowed on our boats! Heck no! Well, maybe that one song, "fishin' in the dark," but that's it. 🤠 You gotta make a Canada run one day and see Greg. He's one of the best parts of Canada. A wonder if you will. Good luck smuggling a beaver back though. They confiscated our peppers.

      @@TheAdventureCloset Bummer deal on the peppers :( I will just put it in a service animal jacket and wear dark glasses and say the beaver is my seeing eye dog ( it helps play off the blind thing if I say its a dog ) Im not sure how to explain my driving though 🤣🤣🤣

    That is such a beautiful place, I would have a hard time leaving it. I love the loon cries but, yes, they are hauntingly eerie. I was wondering if you guys eat fish or meat since I never see you eating anything but vegetables. I just figured you were vegetarians. See you on the next adventure ❤

    • @TheAdventureCloset
      @TheAdventureCloset  Рік тому +1

      Right now we eat fish, eggs and on a rare occasion cheese. Charlie has a dairy allergy and I have Lynch Syndrome, so avoiding meat is something I do for my health. We've been some variation of vegetarian/pescatarian and even vegan for 14 years.

    Hyas lake is so nice but in the past few years there has only been half a pounders so this year hopefully there will be some bigger ones I remember I caught a 7 pounder that was my first fish it’s a great starter lake

    Nice fish! Tasty red meat! It's definitely much easier to cut the head off first, then cut up the belly. You should be able to remove all the guts with your thumb in one shot.

    • @TheAdventureCloset
      @TheAdventureCloset  Рік тому +1

      I'll have to try that. I just tried a new technique on some fish I caught last weekend where you slit the belly, make a slice in the back of the head and pull. All the guts came out at once. You still have to get the kidneys of course. Do ever have much luck filleting? I think I need a better knife.

    • @RagnarRocks
      @RagnarRocks Рік тому

      @@TheAdventureCloset that's a great method too! I don't bother filleting trout under 20", I stuff it with onions, lemon and cream cheese, season and bake it in a foil pouch. Works great!

      @TheAdventureCloset  Рік тому

      Isn't that funny how seeing meat in a store or after it has already died is different than seeing it alive first. We are all pretty removed from the whole process of where our foid comes from. It's a good reminder to be thankful and never greedy.
