The roads in Laos are still primitive. It is a poor country. Just give it time. Laos will get better.

Two modes of transportation I have never taken but have always wanted too , Hot air balloons and Trains . That was a super cool train ride , I really wish the states had a better train system , Amtrak is so flipping expensive and no where near as nice ( I have watched some other travel vloggers who do primarily train travel ) . haha I was just about to say thats a better deal than the TukTuk but Liz beat me to it . That was super cool ,hope you guys are doing well.

Happy Birthday, Charlie. I must be older than you because my birthday is in February. Sometimes it’s nice to splurge a little. I did it when I was in Florida in October to stay on the beach. Like you, I normally prefer to put my money towards adventures rather than accommodations.

You do look younger Charlie , and dang I wish I could get a hair cut for $10.00 , I wouldn't cut my own hair if I could get one for that much. That was actually really cool the Maxican ... Sorry ... Mexican ... restaurant and actually with the fruit and what not it sort of seems like Mexican food you would find closer to say Cancun with all the tropical flavors in it , that was a really cool adventure , did you guys ever see any like Pizza places or anything like that ( and I mean like chain Pizza places here at home) . Catching up on videos right now just spent a week in Arkansas ( not as exotic of a location but still pretty cool LOL)

It's not green curry it's more like vegetable soup.. I think that's vegetarian soups or vegetable soup.

Greetings from Seattle!!! Thank you for giving Laos the recognition it needs. It's a very underrated country. Check out the French colonial architectures in the neighborhood. Then go to the Laos Buffalo Dairy. It's dairy business run by Australian and American businesswomen. They make excellent cheeses and ice cream. They serve full breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Look them up on Google. You won't regret it. I had fun there at Laos Buffalo Dairy.

Charlie, when you order your mango smoothie or shake, you should use your Google interpreter to request no milk, and no sugar, it would be better for your health. My Dad just died less than two weeks ago. He had prostate cancer. The Oncologist told him no sugar, because cancer feeds on sugar. Stay happy, and healthy. Merry Christmas to you and Liz!
