Frannie, Thank you for reviewing Paula Young Wigs and thank you for telling me to "make it your own". Sheer elite is now my signature look.
I knew I wanted a hand tied wig but hadn't found the color that matched my hair. I ordered PY Sheer Elite in #38. When I opened the box it didn't match my current hair, but it matched my hair when I was younger. I was about to send it back when I remembered hearing, "Make it your own." I cut some whispy bangs and layers. My husband heartily encouraged me to adopt the new color/new look. I wasn't aiming to look younger, but with the ash brown instead of my natural salt and pepper, I do look younger.
Also, I find the PY Sheer Elite is more comfortable and natural looking than the Raquel Welch Crowd Pleaser I had been wearing. Again, thank you for helping me along the way on this wig journey.

Obsessed! Just gorgeous and a better cap than the stage presence! Also comes in dark brown. I really have to branch out, but I wear my bio hair under my wigs to prevent frizzing!
Yes, definitely a better cap than Stage Presence. I do think Sheer Elite is higher density by a little...not sure if that matters to you.
I'd love to see more Paula Young or other affordable styles reviewed. I have to wear wigs daily and I love to change my styles so can only purchase more expensive ones every now and then. Thank you so much for your work on utube!

Do they still sell falls? I had one back in 1968 and it was beautiful.
I'm not sure I know what a fall is. Is it the same as a halo that has a wire with hair attached to it, and you put your natural hair over the top of it?
I would like to see how you clean a wig - no rush, but when you are going to clean one, maybe you could tape the process for us? I am watching with interest. A hairdresser recently told me not to get a wig because she thinks it can pull out or damage the hair i have, but the hair on the back of my head is getting so thin. I don't want to be vain, but i do feel kind of self-conscious about it!
I will definitely do a video about how I clean the wigs...great idea! As far as wigs pulling out or damaging my hair, I have not experienced that at all. As a matter of fact, since I am not doing all the styling I used to do to try to make it look like more than it was, my hair is actually healthier underneath. I think it also depends on how you are 'attaching' your wigs. I am also going to do a video on how I put the wigs on and take them off. As far as vanity goes, I guess you could say that about many things we do...fashion, makeup,...but I think feeling good about how we look can help us to interact confidently and more positively in our day to day lives. And my best piece of advice if you decide to go this route is to have fun with it. I tell everyone that I'm wearing wigs...that way I don't feel like I'm trying to hide something. Also, for your first piece, get something that closely resembles your current style and color...it's a great way to ease into it.😘💕
Can you wet the hair and use curlers and let it dry? Will it curl then???
Hi Teresa, I haven't tried it, and I think you have to be really careful when combing/brushing wet wigs so as not to break the fibers. I did find this article. Please let me know your results if you try it. It would be great to share with the community. Thanks for the question!❤️

The color of this wig looks very ashy is that true or is it a warmer color?
It's not ashy at all. It's very warm. It may be the lighting. It is a pretty wig though.💕
Do you think this style would be easy to cut a bang into?
I know many people do cut bangs into their wigs...or they take them to their hairdresser to do it.

Honestly I think the hairline looks artificial.
