I started my wig journey about 2 years ago. There is so much to learn if you are going to wear wigs daily. First, it is an addiction, beware. You have a very nice long oval face so the razored pageboys all look good on you. Thanks for showing different affordable wigs. I am red haired so I am always looking at red colored wigs. I do buy from Paula Young a lot. The hardest thing to learn about wigs is they are made to last about 6 months with frequent wearing. No doubt lace front, mono part, hand tied are wonderful, but I just cannot afford $300-400 wigs. I wear short, medium, long curly, and straight styles with and without bangs. I like having variety. By learning how to care for wigs (steam, trimming, razoring, etc. . .) You can make wigs look good to your face. I do not over wash my wigs and store them in anti statuc bags and clip laundry hooks onto the ziplock bags that I hang in my closet. I can shake them well and wear! The more folks like yourself making videos help all of us to make better decisions with our $$. Thanks.

Very helpful for a wig nubie! I love the way you tell the meaning of all the terminology. I didn't even know what a lace front was and I guessed right about perma-tease (just what the name implies haha!). I usually wear bangs but now I may try a lace front and go bangless. I really learned a lot from this video. I think I like the Jaclyn Smith wig that's not available the best :( . But they all look great on you.

@@FranniesHair It is in West Bridgewater Ma. It’s so funny because depending on who is working, they will sometimes not honor the advertised discounts without a fight! They will sometimes have discontinued wigs on sale. I was able to buy a few beautiful pieces for a friend with cancer. I like that Ivan try pieces on before buying. I am petite with a small face so everything looks overwhelming on me. I have been wearing wigs for years, but transitioned full time during the pandemic. I have hair, but PCOS, GENETICS, and perimenopause has wreaked havoc on it. It’s nice to have full hair without the constant worry about shedding of my bio hair. Blessings. Have a great day.

I thought all of the colors are beautiful. I really don’t know why but I liked number 3 the best. Methuselah and I were besties so I need a color with a lot more white, gray, or silver. Thank you for sharing. I feel like I’m learning more and more about what construction to look for.
😂😂🤣 There are quite a few that come in white, gray and silver. I noticed Jacqueline Smith had some pretty ones. Have you checked hers out? I think there was one called Timeless that looked lower density...not sure what style you're looking for, but it caught my eye.

I have very fine hair, a very small head, and bangs. I have tried wigs before and think it looks unnaturally heavy. Not sure what to look for to get a more natural look.
I would look for a lower density wig, and if you don't want the look of too much volume, I'd avoid permatease. I have very fine hair too, and at first seeing myself with thicker hair felt weird. But after wearing wigs for a bit, I'm much more comfortable in many different densities and styles. I do suggest at first to get a wig that matches your natural hair as much as possible. It helps transition to wearing wigs.💕

I live in Australia & I do have only 1 Noriko wig..Ive worn it a few times & people have said I look so much younger...my hair is white & thinning badly...so I am going thru all your affordable wigs...its hard living down under, dollar exchange & returns makes it harder for me as I'm on a pension.. Can you please send me a link on how to wear a lace front wig, you mentioned glue? I love the red wigs on you!!!! Hi Marc! Thank you for subscribing! You can wear lace front wigs many ways. My two preferred methods are with a wig grip (I have one with a lace front) and with 'It Stays' a non-toxic, water soluble glue. It washes off easily with water. Here is a video I did showing both methods: ua-cam.com/video/2eaHCx-ebSE/v-deo.html I'm currently trying to figure out how to sell wigs internationally...it's a bit complicated. They all looked amazing! I’m loosing my hair and learning about wigs. Do you ever use all the sprays or glue to keep your wigs on? How do you keep them from moving when you are out and about?

They all looked real good. The last two seemed to have the hairs flipping back out of your face a bit more. I love long hair, but, I think maybe #4 was my favorite on you!

Love your videos. Very informative. My question is how do you know what your getting in the cap with nape, ear tabs, material etc. Is it like a lucky dip. I bought two cheaper wigs a couple of weeks ago and sent them back. I wish I had of watched your videos on this first. I could have maybe worked with them instead of sending back.

Sometimes with point price it’s worth even a few months west. Hell say 90 days it’s only 30 Bucks it’s worth it. Exp if You are wearing them daily. Think of the amount You spent on just getting hair cut dyed etx

Just found your channel...I like your down to earth approach when detailing the wigs. (And telling us the price!) I love the look of the lace fronts, but I am afraid that it will start itching and once that happens the party is over! Any advice about lace fronts and preventing itching? You look wonderful in all of the red tones.
Thank you, Linda! I honestly haven't had any itching from the lace fronts. Where I've experienced itching is when the ear tabs and back nape are not a nice material. Do you currently wear wigs?
I have 1 wig but haven't worked up the nerve to wear in public---I don't think it's the right style and color and while wearing around the house I started itching at the hairline. 😟 Right now I am watching lots of video reviews and learning every thing I wanted to know about wigs but was afraid to ask!
@@lindalindenbaum291 Wearing a wig out is daunting at first. I first wore mine around the house to get used to it. Then I told everyone around me that I was going to be trying out wigs (to take away a little of the shock😁). Then I wore them to places where I didn't know anyone. Was the itching all the way around your head including the front? What brand and style is the wig?
Lace front looks great but if you are working out in the heat and you sweat, the lace wil eventually show. You got to be careful when wiping the sweat from your brow.
True...I like to have a basic open wefted cap for working in the heat.😁💕

Honestly, while the wigs are cute… you really get what you pay for. I extend the life of my high quality wigs by not placing product or touching them too much. I am a full time wig wearer and need to feel confident when wearing my helper hair.
It's true, there is a difference. I know a lot of people are on a budget, so I try to show wigs in every price point. So far, my 'go to' wig has been Sunset by Ellen Wille in Light Bernstein Rooted.❤️

Frannie, I have a question. I got PICTURE PERFECT which is my favorite but the hairs are so sleek the hair falls in my face! I styled it a certain way but it won't stay! Is there A PRODUCT I CAN SPRAY ON IT TO "FIX" IT IN PLACE? I tried GOT2B HAIRSPRAY but it didn't work! Any suggestions??

Really liked them all on you, even better than what they looked like on the catalog models. They look like actual wigs on the models. How do you come to a decision when the catalog doesn't really show how well the wig can look? Thank you for the info.

Hi Susan, unfortunately, I don't know. I ended up selling it after the review. I'm sorry. I do have heat friendly wigs in other brands that are lasting very well, but they do require some upkeep. Thank you so much for watching!❤️
Hi Frannie, They all look great on you! I purchased Stage Presence after watching your review. How did you train it to go up at the forehead and then go down. I like that look. I was thinking about using low heat (even though wig is not heat friendly) but I wanted to talk to you first. Thanks 😊
I heat up my hands by rubbing them together, and then I press my warm hands on the hair, pushed back and hold it there for a bit. If you’re really careful, you can use a little bit of heat. But put it on very briefly with the hairdryer, and then just let it sit and cool off on its own. I would try the warm hands first. It may take a couple of times. And you can also spray it with wig wax. once you use the warm hands to hold it there. It will only hold it for that wearing of the wig; it’s not permanent.

Funny you should ask, Jodie. I just purchased a bunch of brunettes (all different shades) for the next video...I think there are 5 Paula Youngs. I will be filming that shortly.💕
Hi Frannie, I just found your UA-cam channel today because I ordered my first wig from Paula Young last week. I had no idea what I was buying, but my own hair is driving me crazy, so I thought I would give a wig a try. My question to you is what do you wear under your wig, and do you use something to hold them steady so they don't move when you are wearing them. Simple questions, I know, but as a newbie to this new world, I really do have a lot to learn. Thanks so much for your help.
Hi, Susan! I'm so glad you found my channel. Here is a video where I address how I put on my wig. I use a wig grip (no cap...I don't have enough hair to need a wig cap) and It Stays to hold the wig in place...when I use that, my wig does not move! You'll see in the video. You must have pretty good bio hair to use the combs. Do they pull on your hair at all?
I love your reviews on wigs! I'm comparing Wig Company's Summer Heat and Jacqueline Smith's Stage Presence. Which do you think holds up better with occasional use?
They are both beautiful wigs. I haven't had either long enough to comment on wear. They are both holding up very well. I would say that Summer Heat has a little more 'flip' to it at the ends. Stage Presence is straighter. I did a review on Summer Heat and wore it in the video with my mother. So you can see it in action.

How do you find out if there is a lace front ,the nape and ? The last one you tried on was a much better color.
When you go to buy a wig, make sure you read the details/specifications. It will tell you if it has a lace front, monofilament crown/part/top, and whether or not it is Heat Friendly/Defiant.💕
