Ms Latta is a Trinidadian by birth and she used to sell doubles in Curepe in the 90s. I know this because I'm Trinidadian myself and used to buy doubles from Ms Latta from day one when she started selling around 2010. I'd like to point out that doubles is NOT Grenadian, but is Trinidadian. And she's the only vendor on the entire island. Her doubles taste rather good though.
Ms. Latta is a wonderful woman! We even went to her house a couple of years after making this video and meeting her. We did mention that doubles are Trinidadian in the video. Their a great export!
Yummy!! I didn't even know that Grenadian's made doubles. They are delicious! I had an opportunity to taste them in Trinidad. Brings back memories. Thanks for your awesome videos!😘
Thanks guys for your awesome videos and travel tips. You've helped make our visit to Granada truly memorable. We tried the doubles today and were very impressed. Such lovely people too.
You messed up though! Frank (Latta's Husband) makes some ridiculously good passion fruit juice that goes perfectly with the hot doubles. I miss Grenada!
I love breakfast, and if I'm ever in Grenada, I'll have to look up Latta in the orange van! I'd love to be able to smell AND taste one of your doubles! Mango AND pepper--yum!
***** Yes, we did indeed! We went yesterday morning for breakfast and ordered four doubles. One mango, one hot pepper, one shado beni and one mixed with all three sauces together. We gave y'all credit when we met Latta, and ate them on our beach walk home. They were delicious! Ryan said, "Now, this is a Saturday morning tradition I could get used to!" :-)

Where de tamarind (tambran) sauce and cucumber or coconut chutney? They are not popular there as well! It's origin is in Trinidad and Tobago.

Lol i always wondered why we call it shadow Beni its the same thing as cilantro
They are 2 different types of plant with similar flavour but shadow beni has a stronger more pungent taste.
Okay Grenada stop stealing Trini food! LOL
Natasha L. John you do know there’s a lot of trinis in Grenada right??
The woman making it is trini, plus Grenada full of trini’s just Trinidad is full of Grenadians.
And trinidad should stop cooking grenada oildown wrong.
