- Welcome to Damn Fast! Today we have the 2010 Volkswagen Polo 6R 1.4 on our show! We just started with our new concept of the old ZeroToSixty videos, a bit cleaner, nicer and FASTER!! We plan to upload atleast 2 times per week on tuesday and thursday 14:00 NL time (UTC+1). Who doesn't know the Volkswagen Polo? Besides the Volkswagen Golf it's one of the most popular cars in the world! Nowadays you can find the 2020 Volkswagen Polo AW, this however is the older brother, the Volkswagen Polo 6R. The Polo 6R was sold between 2009 and 2013, than it received a facelift becoming the Volkswagen Polo 6C from 2013 untill 2018. The Volkswagen Polo always was and still is the benchmark in its class, the compact hatchbacks. The Polo always stood out in terms of comfort and build-quality. This 220k km Volkswagen Polo is equipped with the unbreakable and reliable 1.4 mpi engine, an engine that originates from the older polo 9n and 9n3 and was still available in this modelyear. Even with a hefty 220.000 km (135k miles) this Volkswagen Polo still does not use any drop of oil, BEAT THAT TSI and TFSI engines!!! This 2010 VW Polo has a maximum power of 86 HP and a torque of 132 Nm, because it's a naturally aspirated engine (without turbo) the Polo actually has a decent sound to it! Volkswagen is nowadays all into electric cars with their electric Volkswagen ID3 and ID4. What do you prefer, Electric or Gasoline/Diesel cars?

Respectable performance for 85hp for sure.
It sure is! The only time you'd want have more power is in the lower RPM. This non-turbo 1.4 engine needs to rev quite high to gain some torque. But once you get used to it, its perfectly fine for normal daily driving!
@@DamnFast My father owns the 1.2 TSI with 105hp that has very nice low down torque.. but this 1.4 seems like a cheaper thing to maintain.. for someone who couldn't care less about anything other then reliability and cost per mile.

Hey bas! Als je zoekt op Rial Milano dan kom je ze tegen. Deze zijn wel originele VW velgen in 15 inch. Bandenmaat is 185/65R15. De antraciet kleur staat echt super in het echt!

Jep it is actually the stock exhaust! It might be a little loosy due to the high mileage of this car (220.000km) In real life it really sounds pretty good!

Wat is het gemiddelde verbruik? Heb je nog grote problemen gehad met de auto, ik wil ook een met dezelfde motor.
Heyy Jelmer! Dit is echt een top motor, ik heb deze auto nu al 4,5 jaar en nog nóóit iets mee gehad. Ook heeft deze Polo 1.4 een distributieriem en geen turbo's of directe injectie wat het echt bullet proof maakt. De 1.2TSI's hebben nog wel is last van uitrekkende distributiekettingen en olieverbruik, de 1.4MPI heeft daar allemaal geen last van. Gemiddeld verbruik is rond de 1 op 15. 1 op 20 haal je best makkelijk op lange snelweg trips! Ik kan je deze auto & motor 100% aanbevelen! - Nicky van Damn Fast🚀💙
@@DamnFast Ja die TSI motoren van deze generatie Polo wil ik ook graag vermijden :), vandaar de keuze voor de 1.4, lekker simpel motortje.
Jaaa lijkt me een prima keuze! En buiten dat klinkt deze ook gewoon veel leuker! Koppel valt wel mee maar opzich heeft ie genoeg vermogen. Ik zelf heb tegen de 200 gehaald terwijl Volkswagen zegt dat deze Polo maar 180 kan☄

Stuur overzetten naar leer geen probleem met de airbag?
Nee zeker niet! Alleen bij een MF stuur krijg je een andere airbag. Zorg er wel voor dat je contact uit staat wanneer de airbag eruit is. Anders krijg je een foutmelding en moet je opnieuw coderen met VAGCOM

My polo! At 245.000km only regular inspections every 30.000km and no problems ( medium fuel consumption 17 km/l) decent performance for that power and I confirm that strange and noisy exhaust sound over 3500rpm ahahah
This Polo is just an epic car!!! Indeed it runs very high mileage without any problem and quite economical aswell😜!! The 1.4 MPI sounds like a more powerful car than it actually is!🚀

Did you get some coolant problems with it ? mine keeps loosing coolant after a while (191.000km)

Really nice!!! And indeed it isnt a fast or powerful car but it has plenty of power to move you comfortably!! And it may not be fast, but it sounds great😍 Do you like the DSG with this engine?

89 before dyno with half inox exhaust and home air pipe, modified air box air sport air filter
1,4 is not the main prob, it's no turbo

I've managed a GPS 10.4 with mine and I wasn't really trying that hard. Your launch was pretty weak as were your gear shifts!!

Hahhaha hmmm I think you'll like it. Buttt the 1.8T ofcourse will be much faster... I do feel that it's quicker with ESP off, in this way the traction control system doesnt interfere with your pedal input😜

Haha aahh een nederlander! Jaaa stuur zelf vervangen voor eentje met leer & aluminium inlays. Het MF stuur met knopjes vond ik wat te duur. Ik kan het lederen stuur écht aanraden! Je auto voelt ineens een stuk volwassener & het ziet en voelt gewoon véél beter dan het plastic stuur... Was in mijn geval maar 75 eu ex inbouw en dat was zelfs 4 jaar geleden...
@@DamnFast Waar heb je dit laten doen? Het schijnt zo te zijn dat de mf versie een andere airbag heeft, dus dat wordt de normale met leer en inleg idd. Aha ik kan er ene kopen voor 90, dat is dus teveel... Dat is zeker een upgrade die ik graag wil doen. Verderest dezelfde opties als jou. Heb jij ook de bluetooth module? Ik kan hem niet vinden....
