Purple color :
Version 1 : A st on the forehead has 3 dc, from those sts count on the left side 3 stitches. Start crocheting with purple color in that 3rd st.
Version 2 : On the forehead there are 11 dc, start crocheting with purple color in 2nd dc from the left side.
So what version do I use.
Thank you! This is where I was stuck lol. Been rewinding and rewatching for ages. Now I’ve got it ha ha 😊
@@carolwhitaker7421they are the same just different ways to count
thank you!!!
thank you for this😀
I have been crocheting for about 40 years and a few step here I had to rework many times to figure out. Starting place for second color was rough. I found on the first row of second color going through the back loops only give the skulls face more definition. Just my thoughts. Got it figured out and ready to rock n roll!! 🤘🏻✌🏻💕
I've been crocheting for over 50 years and I'm giving up on the tutorial, it's not very clear in places what you're supposed to be doing, and the transition between same st and next st varies.....would not be possible for even an experienced hooker, let alone an advanced beginner to follow easily, The completed block in the tutorial looks amazing - I will however seek out an easier to follow tutorial. Sorry if my review of the tutorial offends anyone but just giving my honest opinion of it. Hugs, Naomi from Sth Australia
@@naomikeiser4204 I totally agree. As someone who is newer to crocheting, this is the most frustrating tutorial i’ve ever had to watch. I’ve had to redo the color switch several times, and am totally giving up. This is beyond confusing and I will be searching for an easier tutorial.
She starts 3 stitches after the 3 dc increase from the previous row. She also uses different wording for the same things which tripped me up. Hope that helps ❤
I was able to follow with no issue. I was also able to write the pattern by watching the video. Great job, and thank you for your videos!

This is the creepiest tutorial ive ever seen in my life bro i feel like im deciphering runestones
Like not to be rude but this is living up to its name in a bad way this is a very scary granny square tutorial w that background music. Turned out ok though
Dude it's really creepy, like the music makes me feel so uncomfortable and uncanny, since I started it the music threw me off so I watched a lot of other videos on skull granny's and this was definitely the best
i followed most of this without sound, just turned it on after reading your comment and youre so right about this lmaoo mine turned out cute too tho
I definitely agree! I turned down the sound because the music was making me feel uncomfortable 😢😢😢

I’d love something similar with other Halloween characters, ghost, cat, pumpkin, etc… to make a mixed blanket. Love love this!
I have in work one granny square spider web. Wait a little bit😘
Until then, search on my youtube channel, I have a few more projects for Halloween.😁👍
Here is the granny square spider web 😍 ua-cam.com/video/2VcS-mFlo2w/v-deo.html
Thank you. I really enjoyed not having spoken instructions and I think you did a great job. Amazing how critical people can be of a free tutorial!
Of all the crochet skulls I've made this is definitely my favourite.
I changed the 2nd row of the purple to dc's all the way around and a 3rd row of sc. It looks AMAZING!
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing pattern. ❤❤❤
Love this!!!
Can't wait to try when I get off work!!! 💕
You rock!!! Making a blanket for my hubby! Thank you ❤
That reminds me of The Punisher skull. I love it!
Exactly what I was looking for! This was therapeutic tysm❤
i've been trying to learn how to follow patterns and this helped so much! it helped me to understand more of the abbrieviations lol
Once the granny square gets started that's where I get bamboozled the white backgrounds a little hard to see the white yarn I can't really see which stitch it's going into without numbered instructions
For starters, go with yarn of different color to learn the pattern by heart and then working with white won't be a problem
@Sanja Milojevic she just said she can't see what the person is doing in the video. So she can't do the pattern in different colors because she didn't learn it!
@@Dollectable_Dreams Ah, yes. Misread well misunderstood the comment. Thank you
i didn't expect to love a non-voiced crochet tutorial, but the music is so relaxing compared to the super bubbly music usually in crochet videos. it's kinda melancholic but in a good way, it reminds me of the game little nightmares. thank you :)

The skull was very easy but can you do a video showing the whole process of the granny square ? I rewatched the video plenty of times but I can’t seem to figure it out. thank you xoxo!!
Hello! Thanks for watching! What don't you understand exactly?
Nice Tutorial but for me (a complete beginner) it was hard without explanation. But fortunately I was able to turn the speed down and watch hard parts multiple times.
So I made it ! 🎉 and learnt a lot with this hard voiceless task.
Thanks
I did the same thing, watched on half speed but was still impossible for the figure out even the beginning! Had to give up
Looks good 👍
Thanks 👍
Me too. Though it's a bit difficult I like this.
Love it. No nonsense talk. Straight to the point and super easy step b step. Thank you
Love this tutorial!! May I know how I can make a tilted version (skull on a diamond shape instead of square) of this? I’m pretty new to this and im trying to work that out by myself but failing at the moment 😂
Thanks in advance!
Hello, thanks! Is hard to explain, maybe in future I will make one video.
Thanks! Looking forward to it 😊
Well done! Thanks for the video.
I used DK weight yarn, 5mm hook and this created a square 5.0" x 5.0".
Hi, this is a great tutorial. I love the music!! Quick question, I’m probably doing something wrong, but when it comes to crocheting the purple granny square around the skull mine never is a square. It’s lopsided/uneven. I’ve tried three times but it still turns out the same, I wonder if you might have any tips? Thanks so much :)
Hello, thanks for watching! The only advice I can give you is to pull the corners of the square a little after each row.
@@handmadewithloveAMM thank you!!

Amazing tutorial. Super easy to follow along. Thank you. Just one itsy bitsy lil annoying question. Maybe you said it and if Soo … my bad 😣 but what size of yarn did you use? Annnnd what brand? I love the purple 😊 u used. Thank you Soo much for this square at the perfect time of year. Take care
Hello! Thanks! 😘 The yarn is acrylic, DK. The brand I am using is from Romania, Canguro - TRIS. I hope is helpfull.😁 Happy crochetting!😘
Thank you Soo much for your reply 😊.

Towards the end of the mouth/ jaw. Why do you chain 2 and then on other side chain 3? looks good just wondering.
I try with same number of ch, but the tension wasn't right. Maybe yours is better😁👍
Well the music and Russ my thinking of making the Stitches so I turn the volume down where I can't hear it then I can concentrate on what I'm doing thank you for the tutorial
Nice pattern. Turned out great. Thank you. But, the reason your hook is not pulling through the loops smoothly is because your not turning it enough and the throats aren't deep enough. You would love Susan Bates aluminum
How do you hide the ends of the yarn when you're done? I'm new to crotcheting and I haven't figured out how yet
Hello, thanks for watching! In some of my tutorials I have chapters with weave in the ends, maybe is helpful for you. Go to this link ➡ ua-cam.com/video/WC0bOcmeGpM/v-deo.html
I am having a hard time finding the written instructions for this. Would love to make a skull scarf for a Christmas present but would love to be able to carry it around with me to work on when I'm not by a computer.
Sorry, I see the written instructions in the video, but I'm looking for a pattern that is written out. Is there such a thing, and, if so, where can I find it?
@@barbarabera7428 I'm sorry but at the moment I don't have.
Maybe write the instructions off the video?
@@jessicahart2172 I made the decision to just follow along with the video and pause it whenever I needed to catchup. After doing a number of skulls, I eventually didn't need to even follow the video any more. I made white skulls on a dark blue background and sewed them together to make a scarf. My daughter in law absolutely loved it. This was a very quick and easy pattern that I will use again and again.
@@barbarabera7428 the scarf idea is soo cute!!!
How many skein did you use and what size did you make?
Pongan la opcion paraa poder traducir al español por favor... gracias !!!!
i love this pattern, thank you so much 💀🤍
Glad you like it!
I'm having a lot of trouble at 15:20 .For some reason, every time I follow these instructions my corners end up circular and the whole side is uneven. I have tried doing it 3 times now and I can't seem to get it right. I wish there were video instructions for this part, I am new to crocheting which is why I am watching a video tutorial in the first place. Can anyone help me with this part?
Running into a problem with an extra stich in the top of the skull once I've gotten to the end of the first go around of the skull. I've redone it 3 times but there's always an extra stich so instead of skipping two at the end there's 3 stitches help please

Hi! Are you using us or uk stitch names?
Us I think
I love that there's soft music and not useless chit chat, you are my fave!
How big are these squares when the are done please ?
10 cm - 4 inch
@@handmadewithloveAMM thank you
Is there a written pattern I can purchase?
I don't see where the hand written instructions are. You also don't mention the size of the yarn or the needle that you are using. I also couldn't tell where you were putting your slip stitch when you join.
Sorry, I missed when you mentioned the size of the needle but I still didn't see the size of the yarn.
Hello! Thanks for watching! Yarn - acrylic, DK. Written instructions are in left corner of video. Slip stitch in 3rd ch(which you count as dc).
Kid! That white on white is killing me! My poor old eyes
What size hook did you use?
3 mm crochet hook, 0:05 upper left corner
I think it would have helped a lot if
1. You didn't have white yarn on a white background, and
2. You stayed consistent with your terminology.
Aside from that I love love this pattern and am so grateful you took the time and energy to make this video
i love how easy to follow you made this! it's perfect pace for me
I hD to stop at least 6 times to get through the first part

I absolutely LOVE this tutorial. Super easy to follow and the creepy ambient musi totally zoomed me in. Thank you. 🖤💀
I didn’t think the music was very creepy at all. What I had trouble with was following what she was doing and the written instructions. I wish they would say, like “dc into the NEXT stitch” or 3 dc into the SAME stitch.” And what does *2 mean? Maybe my crochet skills aren’t advanced enough for this tutorial, but I think this granny square is the coolest. So I guess I will re-watch the tutorial again and again until I get it. But still, what does *2 mean???
Where can I find this pattwrn written PLEASE
Ughhh i love everything about this tutorial so fun and easy and the music gives perfect creepy vibes i freaking love Halloween 😫🙌🏾
I feel like the instructions got super lazy at the end. Would have been helpful to know that the 3dc are in the chain spaces. BUT once I figured it out, it turned out great. Also, for anyone who has a hard time figuring out where to start the 2nd color.... count 6st to the left from the center of the forehead.
Excellent video, but could do with being a little slower and a bit more sowing which stitch your going into. Just so my old brain can take it in 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
would be better if it had the written partern
I don't see the written instructions. Am I missing something or do I just write it down as I watch the video?

No verbal instructions....
My fav..
Me trying to decipher them lines: 😰
Very hard to follow, ive unraveled it twice. I think in the future you need to voice over or be very clear in your directions. Sometimes you say in the mext stitch and others you just go into the next without saying anything. Second, you have to use consistent terminology. If you have to say 2 dc in the same stitch then say it throughout the video, dont change it to dc increase. Since its a pattern (literally) repetition is a must.
Music is annoying it looks like a fun project project but I feel like we are intertaing the bad elerments
Very hard to follow along. The written instructions are sloppy and unclear, the persons thumb is constantly in the way from seeing where you are supposed to go. To make it easier when starting the new color, start in the 10th stitch. Ugh
Without verbal instructions, your tutorial is hard to follow.
So hard to follow :(
