After the first set of chains you slip stich then you do another set of chains. The intersection where you a slip stitching how do you stop this from expanding. It makes my skull look like it has two noses? I have tried holding this section as I go round but still the stich pulls Thank you for any advice.

How would I make the squares bigger? Say 5inches instead of 4.
