Every song on this album is perfect. A rare moment in music history.
Two perfect albums, Pantera - Vulgar dislpay of power and Pearl Jam - Ten.
I throw Opeth in the ring. I like some albums more than others but from a musician point I would argue they are all perfect.
@@kheldaur2107Down - NOLA
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of The Moon
Black Sabbath - Master of Reality
Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Tool Lateralus
@@foret4a874 That's solid. I'd throw in Nirvana-Bleach and Alice in Chains-Dirt
They weren't just another metal band, they stood apart, just like Alice in chains stood apart from the Seattle scene.
AIC are in a class amongst themselves for sure
I still can't believe Dimebag is gone, even after all these years. Rest forever brother
I love the piano in the beginning of the videos, it's like a meditation.
you truly feel the soul in dimes solos. his riffs are also always so nasty and catchy
I hear this song and I'm happy, big smile on my face. Every. Single. Time 🤗
Pantera is one of the greatest metal bands of all time I'll never forget listening to them the first time and saying this a new type of metal Rest in Peace Vinnie and Dime you made a statement to great music glad to enjoy it and I know others will because it's great shit
dimebag was a huge guitar influence, he always love to share his knowledge with people
Oh, baby, baby it's a wild world. Ah. Make him listen to something from The Great Southern Trendkill.
This channel is fuckin awesome
Pantera! 10/10
i love the piano jams in the intros
Great choice, love when you react to PANTERA and METALLICA do more from those bands plis!
Это одна из моих любимых метал-композиций.
Если хочешь словить с утра бодряк, слушай Walk!
Заряжает круче всякого кофе!
Спасибо Dimebag Darrell! 🤘💥🔥
I'm just thrilled I finally know a piano play through of a song
FRANK ZAPPA PLEASE!!!!!! I love you guys. Best music reaction out there!
You ever thought about reacting to a song by Death? I'd be curious to see the reaction to a song like Crystal Mountain, or 1000 Eyes.
Found this band playing while working out of town in Texas years ago This is soul southern rock. Found cemetery gates and was hooked ever since
By far one of the best live concert bands I got to see. I’d love to see both of your takes on YOB “Adrift in the ocean” live from pickathon . They deserve so much more attention than they get credit for.
Thats a great take from Judson, Ive listened to Walk hundreds of times and always saw it from Richard's perspective, as them demanding respect, but I think it makes a lot of sense the way you put it, the other lyrics really kind of reinforce the idea of him saying "respect to you but go away"
I died laughing when Judson mentioned Phish and Richard just hangs his head and says "Oh , Jesus God". I would love to see Richard have to listen to an entire Phish song 😂
I always felt the outro on this one could have been another song altogether. Such a great groove, with the Vinnie Paul triplets. Damn.
These guys are legendary rock gods! I started listening to them alllllllllll the way back in 1992 when I was 16. My introduction was with the song F@ckung Hostile from Vulgar Display of Power. Then I got Cowboys FromHell on one of the very first CDs I ever owned when CDs cost 40 each! RIP Dimebag and Vinnie
Your piano work is amazing! I love the intros.
Baby, I love you now.
One of my metal moments that I never will forget . Was 16 years old
Oh Baby baby its a wild world!
Mouth for War next! It's the definition of groove metal.
Whats up guys, big hit from Pantera of course. Another song with a great solo, JAGUAR GOD - MASTODON...
Mr J thinks very uniquely and I agree with him. Great reaction guys 🤘🏻🔥💥🙏🏻💯
❤New to your channel guys. I like it a lot is just so different. Fsakes J on the piano has an amazing ear to put the music through to those fingers. Crazy, sexy , marvelous 🤘😂🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Dime was the MAN
Call it bias, call it favoritism, call it whatever you want but dimebag will always be the best to ever do it in my eyes.
Dig the CC shirt. I've got an og ebtl long sleeve. Saw them in ATL in 1991 with about 150 ppl there. Atheist was the opener and I ended up years later in a band with their drummer.......cool vid as always!
I actually went to school with Vinny and Darrell...still some of the coolest guys in metal. Rex was cool....but he jumped in with Phil a little too closely....and Phil, in the early days, was an absolute ASSHAT!! I still miss my friends though....and I was absolutely GUTTED when some real estate developers bought Vinny's house after he died and DEMOLISHED IT!!! It was such a landmark in North Arlington!
Trioscapes - blast off
Bass, Saxophone and Drum
Bass player is Dan Briggs, metal blade records
Vulgar Display was the first Pantera album I bought and it came out about the same time I first heard them. When I went to the store to buy it, there was a song playing and I thought, “this must be Pantera.” It was “This Love”, I never heard it before, but I still recognized it for what it was. They were definitely unique.
Dudes very smart
Nice Eaten Back to Life shirt, Richard!
I agree!
Thank you! 🤘
Need to find one of the original album cover 🤭
1:44 that HI is so unexpected
Also your gesture work is on point ☝🏻💪🏻🙃🤐😏😇
I saw Pantera up in Springfield, Mas on April 26,th 1992 for their Vulgar Display of Power album, Skid Row opened for them with their Slave to the Grind album. We got stoned and had a great time. I picked up a Dimebag pick. All I can say is that going to a Pantera show is a life changing event. They put on a show like no other. You were part of the show and they made everybody feel welcome. Dimebag playing live man.......... He was better live than in the studio and you could bet on that. There are a ton of videos on UA-cam that show his character. He wanted every guitarist out there to be able to play his songs and would show people everything he did. He would have given you the shirt off his back. If only his life wasn't ended so short. I cried when he was killed. He is the best metal guitarist ever, period as far as I am concerned. His playing was electrifying.
Richard, next, Pantera, domination Moscow 91. Show Judson that.
Please have him listen to 10s next🙏
Damm just about anything by Pantera is awesome but I think a good one for you to cover would be I’m broken , I think Judson will dig this track and the solo is just 👌🏻 also a good introduction to Pantera 3rd album Far Be driven
I think that’s the next one we’ll do. I also want to do This Love.
Thats that famous power groove that made Pantera famous
This solo's like heavy metal Stevie Ray Vaughan. Lol so good.
The most catchy riff in history of hardrock
Best guitar solo ever done live is Gary Moore - Empty Rooms live stocholm 87.
Woulda' been fun if they'd covered the Ventures (Johnny Smith) 'Walk' Don't Run' on the B side.
While my favorite guitatist is Dime, and my favorite band is Pantera ... that rendition of Wild World at the beginning 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think Judson would really dig Cemetary Gates (Live version) and Floods from Pantera.
The first band that comes to mind when listening to Pantera is Phish ;)
Great review as always :)
What makes that story about John Lennon even better is that the line the guy thought Lennon wrote for him, Lennon points out was actually one McCartney wrote 😂
Dime.... He left us something. But it's not just Pantera. Hatz, Rebel Meets Rebel with David Allan Coe, recordings with Anthrax... These records open it from the other side
Vinny is the power of this song.
With the piano intro, I’d never thought wild world would relate so closely to the piano section of A7X’s “I won’t see you tonight”.
It's time to hear "Crystal Mountain" by Death, Judson. 😏
It is kind of eerie that Judson brought up John Lennon in a reaction to a PanterA song being that Dimebag was killed in a similar manner as Lennon was 24 years to the day of Lennon’s murder. Cool video reaction in any case. 🤘🏼
Good catch
ok, after hearing the intro, you must react to Me First and the Gimme Gimmes cover
With metal there are songs you listen to in order to be amazed at the band's technical skill and there are songs you listen to when you wish to manipulate heavy objects.
Pantera is a heavy objects band until Dimebag plays his solos.
You must do some King Diamond/Mercyful Fate!
Hi friends, thanks for the video. And speaking of call-response issues, when will we see Richard listening with headphones to Judson's suggestions? I love it when Judson aligns rock with classical music. I believe everyone, metalheads like myself included, would also enjoy classical music recommendations and Richard's open, sincere comments. Sometimes I wonder what Bach or Beethoven could have composed with modern electric instruments...
I've been a metal head since the 80's and I've never heard of groove metal. It was just known as metal.
Its funny that judson brought up john lennon and how it ended up not going well for him considering how dime met his end.
Please react to Love you to Death by Type O Negative
I used to have that eaten back to life cannibal corpse shirt. It gets some hilarious reactions in public.
Since Judson likes some groove, maybe its time for something off Lamb of God's, Ashes of the Wake album or maybe something from Machine off Burn My Eyes. Maybe White Zombie, I am Hell
Hell yeah! Title track please 🙏
any ashes of the wake would be sick
I’m with you on this. We did Vigil from As the Palaces Burn. Where do we start him with Ashes of the Wake? Laid to Rest, Omerta, or something else? Hourglass is probably my favorite from that album but I’m open to suggestions.
Hourglass definitely 🤘🏻@@Greatmeasures
@@Greatmeasures Definitely Hourglass or the title track
One thing to possibly consider in the future might be getting more info about the band members themselves talking about the song in question and possibly what it means to them, instead of listing off the numbers it did. It might make a bigger impression and deepen the conversation after the song, since the perspective might differ for you two.
That is a GREAT observation. U r smrt!
It’s a tough guy song and everyone wants to be a tough guy. Oh well. Thanks ❤😂
cemetery gates for the dimebag magic
COWBOYS!!! DO IT!! In honor of the Dallas Cowboys winning the NFC East! :)
And our home state hero, Dak Prescott! Hail State! 🐶
Dying Fetus reminds me of Pantera with their groove, albeit harder
Niceeeee
I literally remember hearing this and just losing my mind. I ran into my brother room and told him I found a band even better than Metallica. It wasn’t until later that night I realized they were playing a video memorial because Dime had been shot that day. I was 14.
Please react to Equilibrium - Kurzes Epos!
I love this track and Pantera are my favourite band ever but this solo wouldn't even be in the top 300.
If he likes the feel of the guitar and the solos then I think more Lamb of God should follow this video
Fucking Hostile would have been a pleasant Surprise!
He just needs to listen to Pan - Plini
Reacciona a left to die de death ❤❤❤
can you reatc to child in time...deep purple?????
A nice little didy.
Judson - Does watching a video of the performance affect your opinion of the the music?
Haa. You guys have to do a phish song. What is Judson’s favorite?
It's crazy that you brought up John Lennon because Darrell was also killed on December 8th....all those years later
VDOP is easily one of the best albums from anyone of all time. Beginning to end that album destroys!
I'm surprised he didn't mention that Dime and John Lennon died the same day.
Pantera is known for one of greatest bands of all time for metal music. For me and for most people that play guitar, Dime (The guitarist) is the best of all time, and for some he isnt, but he 100% changed the way you play. He was so unique, technique, sound, vibrato, legato EVERYTHING man. He came to rock and rocked like no other. You should do more Pantera like Hollow , Floods, This love... if you didn't. There you can really feal the lyrics and GUITAR aswell. Great reaction btw keep on reacting 👏
No way punk.. 🔥🔥
Lir by Wim Mertens?
Nope, but I thought the first seconds sounded like it.
Dime is held in such high regard as a 🎸 player... And he plays a washburn...does anyone else play these ugly monsters ?...lol
I find it sadly ironic that Judson brought up John Lennon during the discussion seeing that both he and Dimebag were tragically murdered on the same date 24 years apart.
Good catch!
Love walk, it’s one of the songs that got me into pantera, but in a way I still feel this song is a little overrated. They have so many good songs that don’t get the love.
Walk by PAnter is a great song. There's nothing to review here, it's just one ripping riff whole song, no real music. It has became so popular because it is so simple that everyone digs it. regardless of genre they like (and btw Pantera i HC not "groove"). And that solo is great, but certainly not one in top anything, because it's totally out of place. In those days, US bands followed routine that had to have some solo in middle of song, and trust me, fans of Pantera don't remember that solo bc song wasn't about music at all - it was like break to go get a beer..
I can’t tell if Judson is 35 or 60
Both
I can't tell if he's just bored or having a stroke 😂, check this man for a pulse
Love Pantera. Suuuch a basic song. I didn't even love this song compared to others when I was young so much better stuff. Not hating at all, jus sayn..
Please react to some Lamb Of God
Hate to say it, but when I listen to this album, this is a skipper for me. Just heard it too many times. Falls into the category of "You Shook Me All Night Long", an " if I hear that song one more time I'm gonna tear out what's left of my hair." type of song.
Still a great song, but man, so many better Pantera songs out there.
Mouth For War.
Nuff said.
Good song , definitely not their best track
This is the most boring Pantera song. That's exactly why it's the most popular too, but it sucks.
Panthers is not groove metal. Just straight up heavy metal with a southern twist
