you should have color sanded iot first with 1500-3000 grit paper and compounded and polished it with a buffing machine that would've brought it back to life

i can try to buff it ouy for you if you like, another thing you can do with the taillights is take them apart and spray the housings in black and leave the lenses stock

You should use mothers metal polish and some 0000 steel wool
