Wow that proper VTC Cam Gear made a massive difference. Love to see it. I did want to mention about the head casting thing, as I still have no concrete evidence after reading lots of threads behind the topic. I've got the 2005 Acura TSX K24A2 and it's stamped with RBB-3. No idea if this makes any difference, it's still the 1st gen K24A2 but yeah.
From what ive heard - apparently there was a recall on 04/05 tsx for oil consumption. If your car was lucky and have the recall done. They replaced the engine with the 2006+ spec K24A2. Ive been told this a few times. But I can’t confirm it tho.

@@tuningbynick My K24A (JDM) has a RBB-3 as well, would it have this issue too? Are these heads considered gen 1? They seem like they are on the cusp and have the wider valves.

I own an 05, currently mirroring the DC5R chassis upgrades.
May go K24 once I get the chassis and suspension sorted.

Comparing this to the other blue ep3 w/k24a swap I’d say just get the damn drop in cams before any other similar expensive mods

you mentioned 7500 redline because of the oil pump. If you had the rsx type s oil pump, how much higher would you have revved it on a stock head?
What if Honda put the K20A in the RSX Type S, but still with no LSD to set it apart from the Type R overseas, and then put the K20A2 in the 7th gen Si?
Nice, any comparisons over the years of customers engines using the stock oil pump vs K20a2 pump on the engines you have done? Hp difference?
Getting that much torque with that HP is strange for me. Interesting to see with s2k oil pump what is gives at 8k rpm

What tuner are you using, hondata? If so do you have a link planning on throwing a k24a in my ep3 just don’t know where to get tuner

Needs a k20 inlet cam and k20 oil pump and will be 240
Do you think it is really worth changing the original K24A2 oil pump for a K20A? Is the difference to the RPM limit enough or do you consider that the one that the K24 comes from the factory is enough?
