Jerry Pritchett deadlifts 435 kg (959 lbs) at the World Deadlift Championship, which was part of Europe's Strongest Man in 2015.
Eddie Hall won the competition with a deadlift of 463kg (1020lbs) (see • Eddie Hall Deadlift Wo... ),setting a new world record at that time. Eddie Hall has since gone on and lifted 465kg in the 2016 World Deadlift Championship (see • Eddie Hall Deadlift Wo... ), which was matched by Jerry Pritchett and Benni Magnusson (see • Benedikt Magnusson Equ... ). Benni Magnusson attempted a 500kg deadlift but couldn't quite manage it (see • Benedikt Magnusson 500... ) and Eddie Hall then went on to lift 500kg to take the new deadlift world record outright which still stands as the world record today (see • Eddie Hall Deadlift Wo... ).
