Much admire how she handled the criticism, envy and scuttlebutt thrown at her, exactly as Dionne did when similarly critiqued or judged by black folks years earlier. Fascinating girl, may she forever Rest In Peace within our solemn memories of her.

But she still sang the daylights out of any song they put in front of her, and did it like no other singer could. Arsenio said it well: "You sang the way God planned for you to sing." It was that 2nd album, alot of her black supporters wasnt embracing that album's too pop sound..it was too pop sounding infused.
