Im sure you two have heard this a million times but you two would kill in the review category of any other major gaming area. Consoles, PC builds, Games, Controllers etc.. Your personalities and comedic chemistry is some of the best I have seen from any review/gaming news group. I know you guys don't want to sell out and fully move away from the fighting game market, but if you ever made a second channel for other genres you would absolutely kill it. If I ran IGN or Gamespot you two would definitely be at the top of the list for hires. (You two are actually better than what they have now XD) This is coming from a guy who doesn't play fighting games at all. Im not a regular. I came across the channel after looking for Hori stick reviews. Again, I know you two have jobs and might not have the time or the passion for other genres but a secondary channel could easily hit 200k from personality alone. Keep up the good work.
+Cody Horne Cody its actually the complete opposite! We don't WANT to be pigeon holed into just fighting game stuff. That's what's most frustrating is the only videos of ours that anyone ever watches is the fight stick stuff. That's the only reasons we do them. We have so much other content that isn't FGC related and want to get into reviewing TONS of other stuff. Just not sure how to get eyes on it! But thank you man. Thank you so much.
Don't worry: there's no such a risk. - what's the input latency? - what's the build material of the handle? - How is the stick delimiter? Squared? Octagonal? Circular? Besides the things that everybody knows from the web site, what did you say?
Solid review. There's one thing I'd like to recommend by featuring some sort of comparison chart with other fighting sticks, like weight, price, dimensions, specs, etc.(or whatever is worth considering when comparing), which I think it would give your reviews a bit more depth; I don't know, just thought I'd share my thoughts on something you might consider. Anyways, keep up the great work, cheers.
+Shark Partyer Fantastic idea. We actually have a revamped system on how our reviews will drop in the coming month and what they'll look like - this one was rushed out a tad due to time constraints. But yes, I love that! Consider it a thing!
Cool, thanks. Here is two examples you can use if interested: you could have a chart with just the same brand of fighting sticks, like Hori and comparing it vs other Hori fighting sticks; the other chart could be top/ latest fighting sticks being compared with the whatever the current fighting stick is being reviewed; you can do both separately as well or it could be a single chart using both ideas, or whatever to your liking. Regardless of what you do I'm glad you like the idea anyways.
I can speak from experience. While modding the stick is a bit hokey it was well worth it. Focusattack actually has plexi and art services for it(with a very good guide on doing so) and other then working around the leds to keep them working it was honestly not as complicated as I originally thought. All around a great stick for the price. I even picked my friend up one for his first stick and he has loved it.
Just ordered mine and I'm really excited it's gonna be my first fighting stick and im so looking forward to this and love that neon lighting so thanks for the info on this unit and well wish me luck peace love and chicken grease
I looked this up because I ordered it as a second stick for the LEDs and everyone roasted me saying the buttons were ass and I was dumb for getting it so I’m glad you guys think they’re fine I’m not too worried now bcs i highly value your opinion over theirs
cool review. ronin, your issue with the spring. if you stretch out the 2lb spring a bit and place it back in. the tension could be to your liking. I myself found the 2lb spring a bit too loose, but didn't want a 4lb spring so I just did the exact mod and now love it.
Glad I saw this. I finally feel ready to get a stick and I've been trying to watch as many videos as I can on them. I've been leaning toward the mayflash f300 though and wondered if you guys knew anything about that stick? I know it's moddable so I can get sanwa parts but I don't really know anything about PCBs. Also, Ronins new cover was dope.
+MyName isMud Thank you so much dude! Expect more covers soon. I personally don't have any hands on with the Mayflash. I'll look into it thought and see what's what
Do you guys have a video on a Korean fight stick? I am a pretty heavy handed player and people say the stiffer stick is great. Would be interested in your thoughts since there aren't too many videos online reviewing them. great videos guys.
Hey guys, Any thoughts comments on modding the Crystal a bit? I saw a video about it, and it didn't seem too bad, but it definitely looked more complicated than a Dragon, etc.
Hello. I have 2 questions for owners of this arcade stick: 1- Is there any way that i can mod the front plate to turn it 180 degrees (i play the lever with my right hand). I don't know if i'll have issues with the button layout since they're not aligned simetrically (like the Qanba Q2 does)? 2- Does any of you know if this stick is compatible with the Brook PS3/4 to PS2 adapter to play PS2 fighting games? Unfortunately my Qanba Q2 does not work with it and i don't know if it will in the future with a firmware update.
Awesome review! I impulse bought this fight stick without knowing anything about fight sticks! >.< So far I love it cause I didn't find the ps4 controller comfortable for fighting games.
How do you feel about the buttons being Qanba parts versus sanwa denshi? Are they responsive and accurate enough for competitive play? I actually just purchased one, slightly regretting it based on some user reviews. It seems like people either love or hate this stick. Also within the amount of time you've had it this far how has it held up?
Sooo are you gonna go back to the Brook Sniper? Saw the previous vid. Still waiting on the follow up. Was looking forward to the review when it comes to FPS. :/
+Mah-koo Nation Well, we can't get it to work, AT ALL for what it's supposed to do. At this moment we have no review for it because the product doesn't do what it's supposed to in the slightest. So until we can get it to do anything, there is just nothing to say. A quick review for you is it is a DO NOT buy, haha. Sorry man!
I just ordered my Crystal yesterday and I've been playing PC for a long time. People have been telling me that the Crystal is sometimes not detected on PC..... Hopefully is good.
I dont know if they changed the design of the qanba buttons, but my experience with them is that they have a tendency to get wedged sideways when playing. Happens as they age, which never happened to the sanwas i have. Similar issues with the qanba handle.
top review guys . not for me that 1 only thing i like is the plate the design is cool .Think thats a bit of inspiration for some te2 artwork in the future for me . #r24rocksthereviews
after watching your reviews avidly. I chose hori rap4 silent as my first stick ever. I loved it but last year at the time... there wasn't a gate that fit without drilling new holes, shaving etc. I gave it to my brother whom loved as much as me. b-day. I WANT... I NEED Octagonal. point me in right direction. last chance for mad catz... Tekken or another hori or obsidian.. or razor. I've never modded. I've owned one stick for 9 months. need new one now with instant Octagonal....... thoughts please🤔
+Bradley Hall Hall I mean, you'll have to install it. Unless you can buy one from someone with it pre installed. I think we have a mod video showing how to put one in a while back, if that helps
I'm sorry and thanks so much for reply. last question. do you know if the KOWAL or any other fit the hori rap4 without having to drill or shave the gate? since I'm new to mod should I just get a mad catz. money is tight. disabled veteran. so hori being 150 is VERY attractive but if no gates fit... then no I put up another 50$
+Bradley Hall Hall I'll have to look into it, I don't recall off the top of my head. I'm not mega passionate about fight sticks these days so I can't recall. But I'll look into things for you my friend
I love these videos, but I feel they could be just a bit more succinct. I find myself always stopping with a few minutes left because you guys have already gotten your point across, but you keep repeating the same points. Just trying to help. Again, I love the reviews!
+Dev Trend We are out of the fight stick game for good, but might do some future giveaways sometime if we get sent any more because I'll have no need for them
@@BoosterDuck9 not really, it's a good quality stick for players, the 149.99 to 200$ dollars is the range for quality tournament level or heavy duty sticks . 200$ plus is more luxury like the Qanba Drone, Victrix and Hori Viewlex. $ 100 to 139.99 Max are usually the medium or modder preference friendly sticks like the Mayflash F500/Mayflash F500 elite for example, beginners or midsize (for people who like midsize sticks) are usually $50 to $79.99.

Great review fellas. I have been enjoying my Crystal. looking into getting a Dragon as well.
Mine came in the other week. Absolutely love it! Thanks guys for the in-depth and fair review.
Solid review.

Keep em coming

Kind of surprised this is a small channel with such reviews.

after 5 months of using would you still recommend it? I see good price for crystal ~120 and obsidian ~160 usd and choosing my 1st stick...

+austin martinez It would be rad!
I already have RAP 4 but I want to buy RAP 4 KOF XIV VERSION but this arcade stick looks gorgeous. which one should I get
Ronin contemplating his life in the thumbnail lol awesome review
+shadesofhorror I'm looking at it going "ANOTHER fight stick review?!" Haha!

Loved the qanba buttons, until they wore out and I started missing inputs
Still waiting for Adams mod and artwork video can't wait guys
+RuthlessGaming It will be next week probably maybe the week after! Thank you!

No problem man. Let TJ know I support not only your music, but also his mad beard growing skills.
really like these reviews. I was wondering if you could take a look at the mayflash F300 fightstick in the future
+Coleman Hawkins Its possible! If we get our hands in it we will for sure brother
I have a Qanba Q2 which like this minus the LED and it's white. But unfortunately it doesn't work on PS4 :(
Have you two ever looked at the Hori RAP V hayabusa? I don't see too many people with that stick.
+ACESaarai We've never had hands on with it, no. But would like to!
Love your reviews! I'd also be using a fighting stick for custom arcade emulators on a pc, coin-op in mind :D
..such a beautiful stick. love the led's!! Is it just me, or is there more sticks than fighting games on the market atm??
+KoS It's not you my friend, it's a sad truth!
all i wanted 2 know is how good the buttons were easy buy

I am a pretty heavy handed player and people say the stiffer stick is great.

great videos guys.
+Shousetsu We don't currently. Though you could always mod your stick and put a 4lb stick there for maximum stiffness (hehe)

NVM! Looks like a mod video is in the making!
How play in PC using this arcade stick? I didn't see any button which allows switching to PC mode.
Hello.
I have 2 questions for owners of this arcade stick:
1- Is there any way that i can mod the front plate to turn it 180 degrees (i play the lever with my right hand). I don't know if i'll have issues with the button layout since they're not aligned simetrically (like the Qanba Q2 does)?

Unfortunately my Qanba Q2 does not work with it and i don't know if it will in the future with a firmware update.
I have a question; what do you do with the buttons you don’t use no more? Do you sell them? do you save em or give them to a Arcade technician?
awesome vid guys, love ur content, will u be reviewing the tekken 7 fight stuck when it comes out? im curious about that one...
+Chris Miller Were chatting with Hori about it now. If they decide to send us a review copy we will be most definitely
Ronin24 kool, keep up the good work, u guys r awesome!
Awesome review!
I impulse bought this fight stick without knowing anything about fight sticks! >.<
So far I love it cause I didn't find the ps4 controller comfortable for fighting games.
i just bought this. gets here monday :D
are there out there arcadestick of good quality for android system? (nvidia tv)..thank you!
I miss you guys :(
Would you suggest the Qanba Crystal or HORI RAP4? On amazon the Crystal is $10 atm
my KOF14 Hori doesn't have slip pads on them!!!!! where can I buy some?
+neonthai91 You can make your own! Check our last mod video and it will show you about it

Also this is my first stick so don't judge my ignorance.....
How hard is it to change the artwork on the stick?
how those this compare to the HRAP 4 Kai?
How do you guys compare this vs the hori rap 4? Great vid BTW!
This stick or the razer panthera
Is this stick PC compatible?
I plan on getting this stick but I mainly wanna use it on PC T7 and I don't know how safe it is to buy it
how hard is it to swap out buttons
I dont know if they changed the design of the qanba buttons, but my experience with them is that they have a tendency to get wedged sideways when playing. Happens as they age, which never happened to the sanwas i have. Similar issues with the qanba handle.
+Rock socks interesting! We will keep an eye out for that! Cheers brother
Seriously considering this for a first fight stick, your thoughts?
+ACDCpwnall Would be a great first entry :-)
Is the joystick removable
Do you guys think I should get this stick? I have the Hori RAP 4 but I was looking at this stick and I really want to get it... Thoughts?
+Spinthehizay We literally tell you our thoughts in the video.
You can't go wrong with either
Oh baby review day
+Andray Persaud Hooray!
Pandataco I got my tes+ today and I love it
sanwa parts
great art
nice weight and size not
Pandataco definitely the tes+ one of the best sticks out right now, even better than the te2+. especially at $150.
Did you remove your modding
video of the obsidian?
Yup! And several other fight stick related videos. Only left up Qanba reviews and a couple others. Everything else is gone.
you look so much like the vocalist from The Acacia Strain
top review guys . not for me that 1 only thing i like is the plate the design is cool .Think thats a bit of inspiration for some te2 artwork in the future for me . #r24rocksthereviews

can you please tell me if any stick on market for PS4 comes with a octogonal gate STOCK. ?...

Song name? :)
good review!
Damn! I need this one! Great review guys, as always.
+Franco Cimino Prado Thanks brother!
Ronin24
Could you create your own fightstick?
I wish I had the money to get a fight stick. :(
+Lanceb666 Starting next week we will be looking at some more affordable options my friend. Stay tuned!
Ronin24 great!!!! can't wait!!!
Damn, 150$ 6yrs ago, now new on Amazon its 250$
I love these videos, but I feel they could be just a bit more succinct. I find myself always stopping with a few minutes left because you guys have already gotten your point across, but you keep repeating the same points. Just trying to help. Again, I love the reviews!
+BigRedRockBox I agree! Will definitely work on that in the future. Appreciate the feedback
hey will this work on pc ?
mike yes
Hentai Senpai thanks
can u all do a giveaway for a good stick?
+Dev Trend Indeed! Already came and went my friend
:( :( noooo
+Dev Trend We are out of the fight stick game for good, but might do some future giveaways sometime if we get sent any more because I'll have no need for them
I am trying to get one for so long but it's too expensive from where I am. but I understand and thanks for replying
I still recommend the Qanba Dragon.
+Dustin Nunn For sure. But not everyone has that budget. This is a great option for those with smaller pockets
Ronin24 no mic port?
300 is alottt for some people.
