The "Man Drawer" is a grown up, modern version of the old little boy's pockets. Which, in the old days, was a treasure trove of odds and ends-- bits of string, maybe a rabbit's foot key chain, a fishing lure they found and maybe a frog or two... just anything they thought had use.
