My worst was getting school exercise books for Christmas lol. There have been plenty of years where I've gotten nothing, but that was worse lol. At the same time I acknowledge that many people would be incredibly happy with exercise books as their poverty is so great they struggle to even have access to them, so I know I am lucky
I still keep my old phones in one of my drawers. It's like the drawer of history (of my life choices)... 😂 I had mobile phones since 1997, and not once I bought a Nokia, ever...
the really funny bit for me was the sofa payed £999 for this. funny this is my dad did pay £999 and we got the leg things also. so when i saw this it was so fuunny. lol :)
One year I bought my brother and his wife a kettle barbecue. They got me me a blank 3 hour video cassette ( it was the 1980's) they couldn't even spring for a 4 hour tape. It wasn't even a good qualiy brand. I know it's not a competition, but that's a gift with no thought or feelings.

The guy would have been alerted beforehand that something 'pretty harmless but very funny' would be happening to him. At the point of ordering tickets for the show he and his wife will have been asked during the process did they have a funny 'awful Xmas gift' story by a researcher.They don't just select someone from the audience to go outside in the cold and get drenched, covered in feathers then slammed onto a mat. These things are carefully orchestrated.

The solution is to ignore the consumerism of it all, stop expecting something and be happier. Save yourself stress, money and falling out. I have done it and much happier opting out as others rush about in a frenzy for one day 😂😂😂😂.
