How To Sew An Easy Table Runner With 2 1/2 Inch Strips
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лют 2025
- Today I'll make this fast and easy table runner using 9- 2 1/2 inch strips. I used a jelly roll but you can just use fabric from your stash. You can also use 3-9 different prints/colors if that's all you have. This is a very versatile pattern that can be changed to fit your needs and you can also make this longer or wider by just adding more blocks. I hope you give this a try and thanks for watching!!

I like the idea of using flannel as "batting"
I love those fabrics……you did a great job with that table runner.
I have always struggled with connecting the binding towards the end . I could never get it right. You gave a good explanation !
I love this for beginners, it looks simple to use and thank you so much.
I love your video. I also like how you showed using flannel rather than batting and a sheet for backing. I think your color combos are perfect. I'm a newbie so all hints/tips/videos are great!!
I really liked the colors in this and all the details you explained; very easy to follow. Thank you.
Explains things so well! A first time sewer could do this! Good job!
And using flannel ! Great idea especially for a summer quilt !
I actually recently bought this pattern but am too afraid to start it because of the instructions. I did cut out the template and taped the sections together, but that is as far as I got besides choosing my fabrics. Watching your tutorial, I think I can do this now. Would love to see the full making of this runner though. Thank you!
Years ago, in home ec class of the 60s, we were taught to sew over our pins. I still do with my older machines but not the newer ones.
Love your demonstration
I have jelly roll in my stash for nearly
couple years
can’t wait to make my Thank you
This tute is great - a little longer is good. That fabric is so pretty!
Excellent, thank you, just what I was looking for and more. Your techniques are wonderful.
I really loved this video, it was so helpful 😊
I'm pretty new at this. I haven't made this particular project but, thanks to this video, today I made my first successful diagonal seam to join my binding ends! I've made lots of mistakes trying but I can't even express the joy I felt today when it worked. Thank you!!!!
Beautiful runner, great tutorial. Thank you.
I love jelly rolls, you can make so many things from them. I especially love them on clearance!!
Another winning tutorial.... Thanks a bunch.
Great video!
Love it. I have a couple of jelly rolls. Gonna give this a try. Thanks.
I like how you explain each and every step. Love your scissors.

Great piecing and the fabrics are nicely coordinated. Thanks for all the helpful hints.

I love it. Your fabrics are awesome! Thank you for the great tutorial!
Great video as always. Just picked up a couple jelly rolls on sale at Joann's. I know what I'll be doing with at least one of them.
I love those fabrics! That turned out super cute!
Me encantó como explicas paso a paso , gracias por regalarnos tu experiencia !!

Thanks for a great tutorial. Very helpful. I’m going to make one with some leftover xmas fabric yardage 😊👏🏻🎄

That turned out great!! Colors are beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!!
Love it and thank you for sharing
That was a very nice lesson and I love those colors. Thank you. May I ask how is your machine, is it good to work with ?
I love that!
Stitch-in-the-ditch would give it more of a quilting look on the back side of the runner.
Love the looks of your runner. What is the size of your cutting mat?
It is pretty 😍
I wish I could give you 2 thumbs up!
If you put one on top to cut lay so your seams are offset. That way it won’t go wonky
I liked this presentation. I have one question- you used a zigzag stitch for the binding. Could you have used a blind hem foot and accomplished the same thing? I watched one other youtuber who did that and thought it was interesting because I hadn't seen other people try it. I tried it on a placemat but my binding wasn't very good. This was a me issue- not the foot issue. I'd like to know if others with more experience have had a good experience with the blind foot on a binding.
Sencillamente genial
Thanks for such an awesome video!!!
You are VERY welcome!
I also sew over my pins. I slow down at each pin then 'just keep sewing!" I always love your videos.. your an awesome teacher.
Thank you 🥰
I like it.
Oh and nice shirt. ;)
🤣🤣🤣thanx
So do you cut the 6 that you cut from the 3 colors 6.5 inches. I didn't hear you say.
Hi, I would like to sew table runners, what size of cutting mat can I buy
Большое спасибо,прекрасный коврик!
I would never use black with this jelly roll. Maybe a brown.
did I hear you say "don't tell Karen's out there"... that's funny if you did
i hate too much talk. instead of talk, we can understand in action, not talk
