That lag is unacceptable even in chinese knock-off tablets, let alone a Google premium device. It's baffling how they manage to deliver such a poor experience. I wasn't expecting the smoothness of the iPad, but this is just ridiculous.
and its a 2019 Chromebook for god's sake, Chromebooks should not lag that badly, holy hell
Retrovibes I don't get why it's so laggy either. Chrome OS was build to run on low end hardware. Just a couple months ago before I finished highschool, I was using one of those cheap Chromebooks and it was the smoothest thing ever. What the hell did Google did to the OS in that short period of time?
A celeron can't handle a near 4K resolution. There's the i5/i7 pixel slate, but that's like $1600 so it's insanely expensive.
PaleBit Alien chromeos and chrome are already slow
This is quite embarrassing as I switched to the Google Pixel XL a few months ago and it's stupid fast.
I will totally agree the lag was so bad for the first year the pixel slate was out but they made software changes and it’s actually really good now with no lag.
Honestly, I felt like it's an Android tablet from 2011 😕
Dude... I'm still using an android tablet from 2011 and it's not this bad.
You guys are roasting Google🤣
I have nexus 4 still and even that doesn't lag as much as this shit
@@ARandomExistence actually I'm pretty sure the cheap one uses emmc storage. So it is slow flash.

Tech Thusiast I swear man you can put them right in front of a target and give them a dart but they’d somehow completely miss and throw it out the window smh
i agree with you how is still using intel celeron today!!!!! they should have gone with the newer snapdragons
These tech companies confuse me. They have the self proclaimed "brightest minds in the world" working on each product but they really let trash release every year
Duhh, just look at the pixel
I just don't think they're that invested in the phone market. Look at how these companies are all trying to dip their foot in this hot market and the prices skyrocket. It's a hot business.
This is the ultimate tablet you could install Windows and Linux in this tablet i7 processor it changes your whole perspective even the I5 processor makes a huge difference let's not also forget that it's still receiving updates even till this day
Seriously this would be a good buy for me. You can install windows or Linux operating systems on this Slate? The i5 version?
Yes. I own the i5 processor I wish I bought the i7. And there was just recently a new update and it's still better than most tablets. Minus camera.
Someone from touch wiz team is taking the lead on the pixel slate development 😂
😂😂😂😂
Obviously you never used a samsung in the last 3 years. There’s 0 lag
alexandru cirlan oh look. A triggered Samsung user because someone stated facts. Android phones are lag central and don’t get updates

My god....The animation is absolute garbage....It was painfully cringe just to watch you demo how slow that was... I mean that is just the worst. To think Google has the audacity to put their name behind such a product? That is legitimately selling out because if I bought that I would turn right back around and say I want my money back.

UA-cam rewind actually was a pretty good meme for a while, this is just bad.
I'm typing this comment on my Pixel Slate. It got so much better, but you had to wait a little bit. I got mine on a big sale in the spring, since then it has been constantly being updated. The screen and speakers are way better than the reviews! The brydge keyboard is a must own if you want a Chromebook experience. Everything just works and Google supports it until mid-2025. If you ever see it in the wild, do not judge it until you can log in. Side note, it looks absolutely AMAZING with Xbox Game Pass and Streaming!!!
Very shrewd. Ive heard a lot of good things recently. Do you use any art/drawing apps on it? Im just wondering what it's like from that perspective.
@@jackjude I've used the Google Pencil for doodling cartoons in my notes application. The 2 things I don't like as a drawing tablet, the first is the pen. The pen has a button that activates the assistant... Kind of annoying when you accidentally tape the button when drawing a curved line. The second is the pressure sensitivity is not the same as an iPad. My guess is they added in drawing for note taking, signing virtual documents and to help a person with a disability. I hope that helps answer your question!
@@EmersonKeeling thanks Emerson, that's valuable info. I'm used to the pen 'design' issue, as Samsung also love a button to accidently press. But that drawing experience does sound rather undercooked. I might go back lookimg at the Surface Pro.
I was surprised how the surface pro or the surface go never appeared in the discussion.
Even when he was speaking of replacing a laptop he didn't even metion it. I mean it can't be worse than this.
It is hard to believe that google only wants to compete with the ipad.
Yh the surface tbh blows this out the water. But it does lack apps, somewhere apple and Google compete much better than microsoft
