Yes it’s from a Christian group Need to Breathe. I thought it was hilarious as the guys were singing about brotherhood while battling like brothers. They love to have fun and I love that. Love the song too. Such a beautiful song.
The words of the song and the video together make perfect sense to me. You have to have your brother's back on the battlefield. Brothers in Arms... Thanks for the Home Free reactions.
The song was written by two brothers in a contemporary christian group when they got back together after a falling out. Home Free does do some very beautiful hymns -- Go Rest High On That Mountain by Home Free and Amazing Grace by Peter Hollens feat. Home Free for example -- but also sing in several other genres. For some of the guys their costumes here reflect their personal interests. Chance, leading the charge in the Boba Fett outfit is a big Star Wars fan. I think that helmet is his own. Rupp the mage is an avid D&D player and is Dungeon Master for his group of players. See Home Away From Home Episode 6: Adam's Place for an inside glimpse of that as well as his beatboxing. Rob Lundquist is Braveheart. Tim Foust is a double character: he's Hiccup riding Toothless from the movie How to Train Your Dragon. Austin Brown is the tall thin elf who loses an ear tip at some point. The Celtic warrior woman who takes him down is played by his girlfriend Amberly Hall. If you look behind Tim when his dragon is taken down you'll see Amberly beating the hell out of a downed Austin. Too funny! They've since gotten married and he's retired from the group, choosing to go solo and take some down time about being on the go for over a decade, and to start a family with his "perfect partner". (That's a direct quote from him BTW.) Their newest video features Adam Bell-Bastien, now just Bastien since 3/5 of the group is named "Adam".
Thanks for your reaction to this fun video. Great song & message about "brotherhood" & looking out for each other. The guys looked like they had a lot of fun doing this video. This was my first introduction to "larping".
This is the video that taught me not to do ANYTHING to upset Adam Rupp!! I love how at the end everyone else is licking their wounds and Adam is preparing for the next battle.
Loved your reaction 😊❤ the song was originally recorded by a Christian band called "Need to breathe". It is a fun video and in some ways I think the video fits. But its a lot to take in the first time lol. But since I first heard the song in church it seems like a video involving a church might be nice too. 😊 have a great day ❤
They song and video does make sense if you listen to the words. It’s about brotherhood and looking out for each other. The Home Free guys consider themselves and their crew as a huge family. Home Free released 2 new videos with their new high tenor Adam Bastien Something To Talk About I Still Believe In You
Adam Rupp is a big DnD dude, so I'm sure he got a huge kick out of this :) You can see his shelves of miniatures in at least one of the at home covid videos.
Love your reactions. Too many folks have a reaction video and just sit there not reacting. Nice to see someone who is actually moved by the music. I would suggest Steely Dan - Albums Aja, Gaucho, The Royal Scam - I suspect you might like their material. Just 2 guys who hired the best musicians to record their vision of musical and harmonic perfection. Headphones are a must though.
Fun little re-enactment garrison - quite a cheery-uppy tune. If you want another fun re-enactment, try some of The Hu, Mongolian throat singers - find their videos filmed in the steppes of Mongolia.
Aaaah, they could show their nerdy sides, especially the two Adams (Rupp is an avid D & D player and Chance love all thinks Star Wars). Rob, too, I suppose, as he loves movies (he's got a podcast with a friend of his (Bueggs) called The Avid Indoorsmen, where they talk about movies). It's a very distracting video for a song with a serious meaning. It reflected the song very well, though, I think. Btw., that was a real LARPing event (Live Action Role Play), or at least real LARPers (the people who do this stuff). The camera guy had to wear a special cape-thing (it was yellow) in order not to be attacked. Other funny videos are "Workin' For A Livin" and "Thank God I'm A Country Boy". And many, many more. I think a capella music has evolved quite a lot in the last decade or too. What you talked about is the classic a capella music, but it hasn't to be boring. What Home Free does (mostly) is a modern style because they have added vocal percussions and other imitations of instruments into it. They have amazing songs where they do only 5-part-harmonies without any percussions, too, though. Like "Brothers In Arms" and "Helplessly Hoping". Thanks for the reaction
hello from Baltimore, the first time i saw you, was "Pentatonix". came back when i saw "Pink Floyd". so you said you would like to hear some more iconic(if not ancient lol) tunes that might fall into this realm. i didn't see any Dire Straits in your collection. they have so many top tunes, but i would suggest "Telegraph Road Live- alchemy Tour 1983" . Mark Knopfler is the singer/guitarist and is a one of a kind singer, and plays his guitar with his fingers not a pick. it is quite the experience!
That was certainly different. Fun. Weird. I like material that is a bit different from the usual fair. I doubt that you get many requests for music from Therion, but they’re a class act with extremely good musicians and vocalists. I’m suggesting Lemuria or The Voyage of Gurdjieff on the live ProgPower album from Atlanta. This link is for the entire concert, but it allows you to select the individual song you want to listen too by clicking where it says “more” under the title. ua-cam.com/video/r4xV8hG2bgc/v-deo.htmlsi=qRX1VepL5QOYuZNe

It took my several watching to appreciate the wonderful lyrics and vocals. It's one of my favorites.

The message I got from it was a brotherhood, everyone supporting each other in tough times because one cannot do it alone.

Hey thank you very much 😊
Great reaction! I go to see the guys live in a couple of weeks and I can't wait.
This is the video that taught me not to do ANYTHING to upset Adam Rupp!! I love how at the end everyone else is licking their wounds and Adam is preparing for the next battle.
That sounded awesome.
Amazing talent. It looked like they all were having fun making the video.
Keep them coming....😊
Cheers

They were talking about brotherhood between men, in a battle .

Thank you. That fits perfectly. I'm sure I have heard Dire Straights but I genuinely have no idea what they sing. Thanks
Also, watch anything titled "Adam Rupp Drum Solo".
