Just rebuilt my 657X! All thanks to your video. Gave me the confidence and visuals I needed. Had the vid open on my workbench. Runs like a champ. Thank You!
@@nitto63 I just bought a complete new rebuilt engine. I’m mechanically inclined but not that inclined for me to rebuild a new engine. The engine itself costed me about 900 with tax and shipping. Keep in mind it was just the core.
Awesome video, great information. The crank case screws in the bottom end get 17 foot-pounds. The Cylinder head cover up top is only 7 foot-pounds. I like Permatex on the gaskets as well, and blue loc-tite for the threads. I need to remember to oil up parts as I reassemble my engine. Well done video. Cheers.
Incorrect, crankcase has two different types of bolts which are M8 and M10 the M8 is 17 ftlbs and the M10 is 30 ftlbs. The head screws are 17 ftlbs. If you torqued your bolts to your comments its wrong. 7 ftlbs is nothing, the only items that get that torque specs is the Mag cover and Flame Arrestor hardware.
Glad you replied, you are correct. I rechecked the manual and not sure why I wrote down only 7. The manual says to torque to 9 first in sequence, then step up again in sequence up to 17 foot pounds. That make more sense. keep up the awesome videos, love them all. @@TodayWeWrench

Nice! Hey would u be able to do a video showing the installation on to the ski and how to properly lube for start up and break in process please please
@TodayWeWrench When blocking off Is it true you still need to run the larger oil lines to the two (in and out) oil ports to keep the shaft gears oiled up? I know the small injection fittings get capped, but worried about whether or not I still need a tank with oil in my ski.
hi boss! first of all Very Very amazing diy Tutorial....question though, its this repairable? Scratches on the crankcase where the rotary valve goes? apprently metal shivering circulated and made some grooves. can't find how to send picture. because of you guys, I feel confident of attacking this task... keep up the good work. Sent an email with pics, hope you can help
Great video. Im trying to figure out what grit glass bead to use for the cases ,also is there any issues with glass bead blasting the races and gasket surfaces. Thank you!!
Great video. Could you drop the links to the kits you used for the whole project I’m looking to rebuild my motor just want the parts you guys used thanks

Coming from dirtbike motors, that bottom end looks so easy to rebuild. Cool design, thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
You sir are amazing at what you do! And very thorough, you have taught me a lot. Thank you!

What do you guys think of the bigger 2 stroke the 951cc
awesome video!
Thanks!
hi guys,
according to video for this engine, the angle is 147 degress, but there are 159 degrees too. what determines which one to get?
How often should you rebuild the engine? After an engine damage or is there a „maximum“ run time?
I have seen them go to 300+ hours. All about maintenance and good fluids

We get all of our parts from AP Customs in WI
Please, about the Note 587 Engine, why install First? Thank you
? Confused
Can I use carb cleaner where you use acetone?
God no, too flammable

looks like no oil pump install? is this premix gas oil or did i miss something? ive seen people trying to do that and to disagreements start. opinion?
This was for a race ski. No oil pumps in racing otherwise I always install pumps
if i was to keep the RV in what are the steps to install and bleed the RV.
ps
love the videos.
Are you talking about the oil pump?
Do I need to put a plate to block the intake and exhaust ?
Not sure what your asking

i have a 3 cylinder i want to redo and put in a minijet boat
