I’ve bought a few of Henry’s instructionals and his BJJ is other worldly - it’s not just about following steps 1-2-3 of a technique… it’s really something else

@@naakaalastudio6655 the ultimate arm locks escape and ultimate chokes escapes are really good because as a beginner the first skill to develop is just being safe and surviving. The longer you can survive the more opportunity you have to escape then get to a dominant position.
We just released my Umpa/Bridge masterclass which will be a course on escaping the mount using the bridge. That course has tremendous long term benefit because it’s something you should start to develop now and will continue to get better at throughout your journey. Probably the most powerful tool for escaping the mount

Henry im 55 and very active in BJJ . I started at 49 and am now half way through my purple belt journey. I have studied and adopted some techniques that fit my older game with great success. Pressure and leverage. Thank you for sharing.

IBJJF is political. They don't recognize black belts. Ask Dave Kama, Jack Taufer, etc., in other words, money, money, money, money.

He is well past his prime. Also, if a technique can be countered by high level athletes doesn't mean the technique doesn't work.
Many of us are not interested in high level competitions and are perfectly happy if we can defend ourselves against over 95% of people in a street fight.
