This is the reason we love Prof. Henry Akins style jiu jitsu. Very effective details
I just love the little details. I'm always amazed (still a white belt) at how a 1" difference can be crucial in securing a tap. Great stuff.
😮
I love Henry Akins "hidden jiu jitsu"!
Mannn I remember learning this variation on the choke from a Pedro Sauer affiliate in Singapore a few years ago. I had almost completely forgotten it! Such a good reminder 🤘🤘
Bernardo looking slim and healthy nice work!!!
Well, damn. I've been grabbing for the tag and trying to make my grips touch for years lol. Thanks for this.
That's cus ur an idiot sheep that just does what it is told without questioning.
@@jonallen7619 I question everything, including your unwarranted hostility. Why are you so angry? Did you get beat up by the new guy? I will send you some tampons if you send me your address.
Henry once demonstrated a cross choke on me. First nose bleed I’d had in over a decade.
These two are on the list of people I hope to meet some day.
Thanks so much for this!!!
wow. these are such great details
Just fantastic
Thank you, professor. Your videos are always top quality!
Amazing details
Invisble / Hidden Jiu Jitsu 🙏
Smooth Gyaku Juji Jime⚡
Good stuff 👍🏻
WoW!! so much differences
🥋♥
I’m a BB and I’ve ask many many other BB how to do this choke. Their all wrong. This is the correct method. This is gold.
How do you get the contact with the neck though. Guys really good at tucking their chins. As soon as that hand goes in the neck disappears.
One of my favorite submissions people forget about it and boom🤣
yup
Delete this video I want to keep it a secret haha
Just kidding good stuff. Thanks for the wisdom.
Someone help me....is it the backs of my wrists pressing into the neck or the side/blades of my wrists?
I didn't know Bernardo is German now. In the first 4,5 minutes he says "Ja" 30 times. I stopped counting, since I wanted to observe the actual video.
JA!
Hoe kay guys
"That's unbelievable!"
I think a lot of people will be taking accidental naps in class after this video. ;)
How do you set this up? the opponent has 2 free hands
Yes his hands are “free” but his whole body is not. Given the positional advantage which is closed guard your opponent would be fighting to pass your guard or stand up. Breaking posture and closing space is so important while in any type of guard and you should focus on that before you launch any attacks.
Im always being told, (im a new white belt) to not leave your arms out to keep trex arms, esp on top. So why would this be a smart move in someone more experienced? Doesnt leave you exposed to armbars?
If someone is in your guard, they cannot armbar you. So what Henry is doing is safe for him. When the guy inside the guard pushes on the opponent’s chest with his arm, yes there is a risk there. But it’s only slight. When in someone’s guard you want to make sure your hand doesn’t cross the centre line of their chest (e.g your left hand shouldn’t cross over to his left side). And when you’re attacking from guard, you will try to bait him into giving you his arms.
Im a 🦍🙌💎🚀
Does this work no gi?
No lapels, no cross collar
Who is Harry Akins?
Clay Akins’ uncle.
You mean henry akins? Rickson gracie black belt
Have you considered starting the video? You will get your answer within the first 40 to 45 seconds. lmfao
@@usabox No, I mean Harry Atkins.
@@keithminnich4017 I’ve watched the video. That’s why I’m wondering who Harry Atkins is.
Bernardo must have had coffee on board. Phew, lots of talking.
