Thanks - Thought I'd mention that on my 2006 model you use the m/km button, next to the fog light buttons, to scroll through the menus, the trip button only works to enter the menu it will not scroll through.
Many S Types will only enter Engineering Test mode using the "Trip Button/Vehicle Start" method. After that you have to use the k/m button by the A/B trip controls to scroll. My question is, what is considered "normal" in all of these functions? Without that information most of these tests are useless!
Thank you for this. Do you know how I'd figure out what the codes mean? Also, I think there's a problem with my gauges. When I do the test, they buzz and it looks like they're stuck at the bottom. Any suggestions? Thanks!

@@ijc9984 I have an S type Sport it says this on the v5. But I cannot find the hidden menu and the trip button is on the dash not on the indicator bar. Mine is a 2001 model before they changed the interior and dash. Any help??
It does work just keep holding the trip button when you turn off the engine turn on the key 🔑 and it will show but remember keep holding the trip button
Well, that's the deal with hidden menus and amount of data that you can show on such small display. But since Jaguar and Ford were a thing back when this car was designed, you can check for example Ford Focus MK1 hidden menu, which should be similar and is well documented.
Is this the same for the newer version S type? Nice job, btw,

Does this exist for a 1999 3.0 V6? It doesn't have the button you press there in the video, but maybe there's an alternative?
I don't think the pre face lifts let you do this - I might be wrong but my 2001 doesn't either
how do you do this on a s type 2002 3.0?
