Being an academic does not make you an expert on something. There are plenty of demagogues, ideologues, and mentally ill people in academia. Calling Norman a “scholar” is laughable; the guy was too nuts for academia even and they fired him… getting fired from academia is no easy feat. Also your statement that one cannot be anti semite while being ethnically Jwish is false; there were plenty of Kapos who helped the Nazis.
