Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s first tour in 10 years ended with an emotional series of 10 concerts at New York’s famed Madison Square Garden. Live In New York City, featuring performances from the last two nights of that tour (chronicled partially in an Emmy Award-winning HBO special), captures “the heart-stopping, pants-dropping, house-rocking, earth-quaking, booty-shaking, love-making, legendary E Street Band” as Bruce and his blood brothers embarked on an exciting new musical chapter together. These guys hit the stage like a tidal wave and they just shower the audience with this level of energy from beginning to end. For three hours. Nobody who saw them live can ever forget that.
I'm convinced that the Live in NYC tour provided the best live music performances of all time.
SO MUCH ENERGY and TALENT on ONE STAGE....knew Bruce back in the day in 1976....this is just amazing!

For most live performances, this level of energy is reserved for the end of the show, but for Bruce and the band it is song three of a 24 song set. Just wow.

I saw them in 1991 at the old Wembley Stadium in London. After a FOUR HOUR set, they finished with a HALF HOUR arrangement of "Twist and Shout".

I believe two hearts are better than one as well. One of my favorite boss compositions. The lyrics are so plain and yet straight forward yet so powerfully demonstrated in the song. This is an amazing performance. The band is on fire -everybody looks great , so full of energy. Patti looks so cool with all that head full of beautiful red hair and infectious smile. Rock on y’all!
