Vestige of brother Jeremiah you can kill holy bulwalk knight right outside for 1k and the reaper for 500 vigor without any multipliers if you chose to clear the area including the bell head in the kitchen you can get 5105 vigor with 1.20 multiplier and with your multiplier thats probs 4k from that 2 enemies alone

Yeah you can buy the key or wait and get it for free after a certain point. But I think they patched this cause I just tried and they added a protective shield that you have to remove before you can do any damage.

You can still kill them, but you need to do an insane amount of damage to beat the heal
