Reaper's health always resets if you go to the vestige, should've made that more clear. You can use it for said breather if the fight goes sideways and it also clears any mobs that show up 👌
Just go to Marco’s vestige, go to umbral, and then go towards the fief gate and drop down. Kill like 4 basic enemies and you have a much better spot. More room, but still small enough that when you put down the healing circle you’re in it.
You don't really need it, I just used it in case something went wrong and I got hit. Just try and use the buffs that you got, charge up and hit him to heal. If he does hit you and you're low, run to the vestige and start over 🤙
In Pilgrim's Perch after you open the door near the vestige, you have to run a bit to the spot that has umbral seedpods and a parasite. You have more space there and it's 100% enemy-free zone after you clear the mobs first. I use the eye that increases my dread meter gain, so I don't have to wait as long but your strategy looks really good too!
Thanks man. Yeah I trade the dread eyeball for this one because it's a huge guaranteed attack that is somewhat safe and makes sense here because I can't really move much lol. I'll try your approach and see though, cheers!
This takes to long to get him to show up. I don't want to quit and load on the console. I just put on the moth ring and there are runes you can use just run a level you are on you get about 5000 in two minutes.
@@Kalebjosewitz lmao. But why would you wanna farm these as a level 50 anyway 😂 There's way better places for vigor unless you really want the 25 umbral scourings that he drops the first time you kill him I guess lol
bruh i just got him to one shot and some how he fully healed and i wasnt even in this spot i was just trying to kill him and thats what brought me here
Yeah the game is flawed, but in this case I think the idea of a super strong enemy that stalks you if you spend too much time in umbral is cool, it just sucks that it's just a recycled mob instead of a unique monster 🥲
@@AkujinGG Definitely one of those looks good on paper, but terrible in execution mechanics. If they removed at least one of the annoying effects it has (sanguinarix block, health drain, mob spawns) or had any way to fight it without waiting 5 minutes it probably wouldn't be so bad. But how it is it's literally just the devs wasting the player's time.
@@Spittfire_666 How is it the devs wasting the players time, if you spend too long in the umbral he shows up and whoops your ass unless you're hardcore enough
If you quit after you kill him, it spawns as soon as you log in back. Infinite farm as long as you don’t die
Haha nice find bro!
Yo that's meta no one tells the Devs bout this 🤣💀or she will get patched asap

To anyone seeing this now, the Reaper’s health now resets anytime you enter the safety of a vestige, making taking a breather impossible

@@unknowntraveler1759 no problem bro
Never thought I’d see the red reaper get treated like a early game mob 😂😂
Haha, I guess. We gotta be efficient if we're gonna farm them🤭But I do remember running for my life when these things first showed up 🤣
Awesome guide! thanks! I also tried the one the other commentor said and it worked!

does the the red reaper drops any item?

Sure, but ppl aren't farming these for the vigor mate, it's for the umbral scourings👍
I tbought they heal when they go under ground. How was yours not healing?
They don't heal but they can sometimes reset to full hp if you move around too much so try to stand in the same spot as much as possible.
Maybe a silly question, but why would anyone want to farm the red reaper? He doesnt give much vigor at all compared to other farms
It's mainly for platinum completionists or if you want boss weapons as they're the only mob in the game that drops umbral scourings 👍
They're after the umbral scourings not the vigor so much
What are some other farms
@@promastery-lz2iq the most common one ive noticed is spawning at the lift and killing big fella and redo

I just tried it and it still works. He doesn't "heal" but he can "reset" to full hp if you're near a vestige or in some area that he cannot get in.
i can beat the red reaper 100% all the time now. just have a strong bill and self healing and he goes down
You saved me!
Glad I could help!
I go hunt you little boy xD
This game is filled to the brim with idiotic game design... This enemy being possibly the pinnacle of that.

I even consider it the best game ever!!!! Just in par with the Witcher 3 and Elden Ring
