It is light weight , dust is less aggressive.
20% ceramic. 10% granit.
All these product are challenge every day .

This video was done with the installer permissions. The installers installed quite a few granite counter tops on my properties.

I finally did a compete kitchen remodel where I installed the countertop I am very picky when it comes to quality and customer satisfaction. Everything was done perfect. But I definitely won’t be doing an other one it a back breaking job I will just use my time on other things that I’m more talented in

You correct unfortunately the contractors were not maintaining safety precaution.
Diamond blades are not highly dangerous; not like a saw blade for wood. Safety glasses and shield are only critical if you are specifically throwing debris at your face. Gloves are for sissies most of the time; just to prevent minor scrapes.
Ive been doing this for 10 years and we stop the blade from spinning using our knee..
They for sure needed 1 or 2 more chalanes to help pick up. We all definitely work differently but good job compas!!

Did you silicone before setting the counter top, or is it held down by it's weight?
After you level the area where the granite will sit you can put the granite without silicone. Yes it's held down buy its weight.

Yes you can, just make sure that the structure is stable and can support the granite.
Just put some 1/2inch ply wood on get a router for your undermount sink man

Please note !!! When you are cutting or grinding granite you must wear a musk at least N95 and wear safety glasses. Unfortunately, the both contractor did not wear safety glasses and musk.

I install granite countertops everyday. Our shop guys gut grooves for us in shop. Sometimes we have to board sinks up depending on the cabinets.
Edit: if its quartz no need for any bars. Its man made and will not break.

Quartz is much more durable than granite
You are right but Quartz is more expensive and does not look nice like granite. Also Granite will take a hot pot while quartz is less resistant to high heat.
Dawn dishsoap and hot water and dry with a soft rag, best method by far. Dont leave anything acidic on there two long or it wil etch the finsh, especially red wine

use a sink setter and you won't need to be making risky cuts into your granite
it would be better if the sink anchors were installed at the shop. or at least the slots. eye protection, ear protection, and dust control ? OSHA would have a field day, If you care about your employees....don't let them work like this.
If the sink was install in the shop it will be impossible to move the granite with the sink into the house.

No need plywood. The cabinet frame is oak wood and where needed we put 2x4 .It is more than sufficient.
Plywood is used for 2cm Stone.

maluco me desculpem mas com tantos recursos quase quebraram a pedra, trombaram com o armário coisa que poderia danificar feio, sem contar arrastar a pedra em cima podendo lascar a lamina da madeira ? não não não.
Esses caras fizeram isso corretamente. O único problema que eles não usam vidro protegido e luvas protegidas. O granito é muito pesado e tem que arrastar a madeira do armário, a menos que você tenha uma ferramenta muito cara para fazê-lo de maneira diferente. Obrigado por seus comentários.

@@josephk9182 lo que pasa que ahí no hay buen soporte y por las dimensiones del granito yo hubiera optado por hacer la unión en medio del sink, igual no arriesgas a que se te quiebre la pieza también por qué va entre paredes, también tu unión te quedó mal, por lo regular yo igualó el color para pegar la unión y ya en la parte de arriba le quitó un poco y le pongo el pegamento con un poco de obscuro y agarra el tono, es mi humilde opinión.
Tienes razón con respecto a la junta de granito. No es perfecto, pero después de secar el color de la junta no se nota tanto. Respecto a hacer la unión en el medio del fregadero es muy interesante y podríamos hacerlo. Gracias por su construcción opnion.

When you decide to install granite in a old kitchen the old sink is not relevant. The installer will give you many options of size and kind of sink you can install. Based on your decision the installer will cut a hole in the granite to accommodate the sink you chosen.
I live in this apartment already they put and with pink granite countertop and I can't rinse a rag hands wrists dishes hit the sink very badly I think it's more than low arc faucet and sinks looked big at lowe's and they put with low arc faucet I can't tell mine looks bigger than anyone's house my family I'll have to wait till I go to their house to measure I live further these faucets are far back and just see sink and stick out alot

i thought you put plywood cut the sink hole and installed the sink to the plywood and used just silicone between sink rim and counter
That is not the way its done. No need plywood,. Per sink manufacture instruction under-mount clips are sufficient if they installed properly. Also we applied adhesive silicon and waited for 24 hours until it cured properly per manufacture instructions.

this is a 3CM buddy . You only do that with 2 cm or in California which were I have only seen them use 2 cm all the time.

The owner is really lazy. Should have already removed the old countertops and plumbing before the installers even arrived. Then just standing there while they struggle to get around the dining table. Show a little consideration for the guys doing all the hard work.
