@ViktoriousDead, you're on target. We old grunts who've been out of the green machine long enough know that in this minecraft scenario, it's about:
      A) defending your AO and its people.
      B) possibly doing hood rat shit against the oppressing forces to demoralize and attrite them. It'll be stuff that's not "honorable" or "sexy". It'll be about AVOIDING enemy infantry and assassinating/murdering enemy when they're in lightly armed groups or even individually. It'll be hood rat shit. These partisans will be the guys shooting through wood framed walls at the guys stacking up. Partisans and guerrillas don't clear buildings or do LRRP stuff, they have LRRP stuff done against them. The partisan/guerilla looks like a harmless, simple worker, with a dog.
There are a lot of ignorant Joe's out there, and a lot of vets making bank off their ignorance.
You ever want to cross the Mississippi, you'll find thousands of old grunts like us, homesteading in the Ozarks. There's an ingrained distrust of feds among the people here that goes back to the First Civil War and is shared by all the new immigrants and homesteaders here. This minecraft scenario is sure realistic.
Most folks aren't prepared spiritually or psychologically for what is coming in this minecraft scenario. May God have mercy on us +

You aren’t going to “stick together”. Stick together with whom? Are you going to align yourself with the inevitable communist resistance forces? Or the extreme far right fascist?
You people have no idea how a civil war actually goes. With dozens of different groups who are only in it for themselves.
There’s no such thing as some vague, apolitical “partisan” movement. It sounds great in your mind. That you and other “patriots” will band together to resist a tyrannical government and restore freedom and democracy. But that’s not how this EVER plays out.
Mao, while a terrible leader of a country. Was an expert at leading a guerrilla movement. And he correctly stated in his book that no guerrilla movement can succeed without a strong political foundation. So if you’re planning on a vague partisan movement, you might as well not even try

Worth mentioning that one perk of lever action rifles is that, even though they may not be as efficient as a modern rifle, they do come in a wide variety of calibers, lengths and setups. They may not be as accurate as a bolt action or as quick as a semi-auto, but fall somewhere in between. This does give them a certain oddball versatility.

Don’t underestimate a lever action rifle and a shotgun. They are versatile and powerful. It’s not the weapon itself but the ammunition that can do what you need it to do. There are more types of .357 than 9mm and it’s way more powerful so you can hunt with it. The types of shotgun shells is ridiculous. Buckshot, slugs, door breachers, etc. you can hunt, shoot a tire out,a door, etc.

    • @ChadOfAllChads
      @ChadOfAllChads 7 місяців тому +6

I'm not too big on lever actions. You can still get large calibers in bolt action and probably for half the price as well added reliability. The two piece configuration sometimes leads to screws walking or even more unfortunately the gun can break in two. The latter is really uncommon but something to consider.

Remember, the partisan guerillas have all the time in the world to fight the conflict on their terms... Meanwhile the occupying force has to put in active effort to hold and control an area.
Time and opportunity always favor the insurgent. The insurgent doesn't have to win every battle... He just has to inflict losses on the enemy. And only when the odds and opportunity favor it.

    • @ChadOfAllChads

Thing about that is if we get invaded by a foreign power there's not much we can do. Think about It, even this guys video though helpful doesn't take into account certain aspects of invasion. Like food insecurity(Kind of makes most people a threat at least to your resources), power grid failures(literally the first target even before active military bases), road destruction(or simply blockage that can't be moved without industrial machinery), and most importantly the sudden change of pace. One minute, everything is fine you're going to work go home watch TV or whatever then all of a sudden an alert comes up on your phone telling you were being invaded. Depending on which side we got invaded from IE: N,S,E,W you might have days weeks or months to get to safety but maybe not even that. It's easy to imagine going off to war with no training or combat experience and being a good shot just simply isn't it. We as westerners don't have to worry about being bombed, or forced into a labor camp, or looking out our windows to make sure there's no looters outside. If we get invaded we'll experience just that

You’re talking about GSR Gunshot residue. SEM-EDX, AFM are both typical procedures to find visual evidence of GSR, the issue is, due to the nature of gunpowder these tests are VERY easy to defeat, just washing hands and beating out your clothes can effect the tests because of the powder like nature of GSR. Investigators collect primer GSR with adhesive lifters, sometimes referred to in supply catalogs as dabs or stubs, and things like break pads can show up as gsr on these tests

Double barrel shotguns to take advantage of different chokes and ammo types on the fly for the given distance or target also had a lot of merit.

There is an incredible amount of surplus FMs in hard copy and any other number of PDFs and downloads. "CoD" players are susceptible to older tactics. Kids love to run and gun...see the same mentality at the range, especially those with semi-autos. I am a semi-FUDD. I own lever actions in .45LC that match my SSA for Cowboy Action Shooting, as well as SxS 12 gauges, and a really nice post-WWII CZ 8mm Mauser. But my favorites are my ARs and AR SBR, and my PS90.

But some are in a non standard type, Model 99 Savage in 300 Savage for example. I've used mine with 165gr AMAX and reached out to over 550 yds, that means it's just as capable as a bolt action. Just because it's old, doesn't mean it's useless.

However, the technological leaps in the past year alone is mind blowing. Thanks for your video brother. However, in minecraft, I always thought the idea was to make everyone angry. Especially on the big servers. If you go after in-game things like water, power, food, etc. Everyone gets mad and the gamemasters have to decide if they're going to put the hammer down or placate. If they drop the hammer more people will join your game? Thoughts?

If you put some effort into the craftsmanship and care to make sure they’re made properly, you have a (in Minecraft), untraceable, reasonably effective, cheap firearm. I'm really interested in historical examples; the French or Polish resistance as well as the IRA
In terms of actions taken and the strategic implications; sabotage, removal of hvt etc.

Shotguns could be effective against small drones (sorta like what a bird shot is used for)

Worried that UA-cam knows I’d be into this video. We’re all screwed.

“For my next gun I got a Glock 26, with an alibaba switch and stendos. These things have been used to much success in combat and have a rich history of prevailing. Most notably in Chicago when 2 Smoove robbed johnnys liquors, Treshawn held his own during a hoop squabble with Keyshawn off 19fth and 53rd, and of course we can never forget this is a weapon highly coveted by el Chapo’s 5th son Panchito for the hate it laid during his intense shootout at Juana’s quinceanera. Finally I have a Keltec sub 2000 which has been used in multiple mass shootings and Super Bowl parades…”
Pretty sure this video got everyone who subbed on a list with the FBI somewhere. I’m giving benefit of the doubt on the fed comment people been making but it’s kind of hard to deny when you read about the whitmore kidnapping and Jan 6.

Good topic, some have to understand that partisans are the Former homesteaders, that had to leave their homes and no one ever knew where will they end up.
If you are under the direct occupation, it’s a different situation all together.
Not sure anyone discussed the occupation topic at all.

Let's not forget to mention that in a war of attrition, the pillagers will try to cut the village off from outside resources and try to clamp down on existing equipment already in circulation, and every cell will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining any and all fishing rods they can get for themselves.
"Buy Cheap and Stack Deep" has never been more important than it is now. That being said, that doesn't mean you have to skimp on quality, you just have to know the world of fishing rods well enough to know when you're looking at something that others overlook to the point that their ignorance keeps the prices low:
*Bubba'd milsurps are dirt cheap if you go for the right ones, $200 for a bubba's Lee Enfield, $150 for a Krag-Jorgensen, $50 for a stripped Mauser action that is tapped for a scope, I still see intact Mosins on the used market for $350ish every now and then.
*Rohm earned a terrible reputation in the beginning, but their products got really good as time went on. RG39's especially are almost indistinguishable from an old school S&W snubbie save for the cylinder release and the weight, and they're damn near indestructible due to all the extra steel in them, plus they cost way less than a S&W. They're not the only good Rohm either, but the 39 is the one you'd chance trusting from it looks if you're one of the ones led astray by decades of Rohm hate.
*PSA is Love, PSA is Life. Save up, wait for the big sales, and buy up as many AR kits as you can. You can use some for trade fodder for other stuff you need/want when the prices aren't as good, and you can build the rest out.
Maverick 88's stand up to the heaviest use just as well as the 500, but in my experience the same cannot be said for Remington's el cheapo 870 model.
Feel free to add more here under my comment, I'm always looking for more to add to this list.

Drones will make guns obsolete in some ways. I'm surprised more people have not picked up on this yet.

In a force on force context, yea to an extent, for a partisan, not quiet but we are getting there. Also tech always cancels itself out, you can bet in the next 2-3 years they’ll be serious anti drone capabilities all over

Look into the FGC-9 and other homemade alternatives like P.A. Luty's design. 9mm is available (legally or otherwise) in basically every country and with the wide variety of tools at everyones disposal nowadays manufacturing your own weapon has never been easier.

I Have and mini30 7.62x39 and it's and great gun and very reliable.
The mags are kinda pricy for metal ones. A bit chunky compared to and ar.
I also have and mossberg mvp predator in 308 that uses ar10 mags. Very handy with the standard 5or10 round mags. And it's possible to use the metal 20rd mags and 25rd pmags are common now.
My truck guns are and ar in 350 legend and pcc in 10mm.
