Thank you, I had a fantastic time watching you cut branches, believe it or not I love watching men work and it started with my dad. I really enjoy your Channel, so thank you very very much!
A tree guy told me everything looks different when you are up in a lift. Absolutely true. just did the same thing a few days ago. Got the job done but learning curve big time
I used to clean Jumbo jets in a cherry picker, 2 big blokes in the basket cleaning the tail, crapping myself with every sway, this brought back scary times. Good job on that tree.
You did good and saved yourself a bunch of money! Next time leave the gas can and other supplies on ground. Keep chainsaw tool in your pocket to tighten chain if it becomes loose. Always wear a harness, and tie yourself to the bucket securely! VERY instructional video on boom. Thank you for taking your time to instruct on use of boom.
I used a gas powered JLG lift when building columns for a new bridge over a river in Ohio. It went up to 100' and it was the largest manlift in the area. At that height the slightest movement of the joystick control would have the basket swing back and forth 4-5' each way, kind of unnerving, you didn't want to think of it tipping over :)
It's not bad after the first half hour- just did two days in a 60' mobile articulating boom. lol the fun starts when you're way high up, & then start moving the whole thing forwards & backwards. I'm not as big a fan of helmet cams because most users forget to move & turn your head slowly while filming; makes you car sick watching lol
Hey Bill glad it all went well and tou nice and safe on the ground. I have to say it looked very scary don't think I could of done that. Thabks for sharing
That looked kind of fun and terrifying at the same time. Not sure I would want to go up in one of those. You missed a good opportunity to say , "Look! I can see my house from up here!" lol
OMG. Compared to the savings of DIY, cheaping out on safety is an embarrassing way to die. Not a good lesson for all the spectators either. A branch can easily pinch your hand and pull you out of the bucket. You rent a harness or you just buy it and later sell "used once" on CL.
We need to do this, we have 3 very large trees that need trimmed, (70 years old maples) so I have been looking for videos about that. This looks scary as heck!! And to think about my husband going up to trim or even cut down our trees, I am not sure I will be able to be here. LOL I think we will take out the two trees in the front and leave the one in the back, but cut it back a lot. This is going to be a big job..... I hope there are not squirrels in the tree either. We usually have a couple families. I am so glad you got through this safe and sound!!
Hi Bill ,Wow You certainly Have Courage to Go that High in that lift, Full respect To you If i was on there I would need a lot of changing of the Underwear
Well I can tell you one thing he's crossing his arms which your never supposed to do whilst running a chainsaw and I'm a tree climber and I use a buck I use three ropes and that a buck strap a ground rope and a tie in rope which supports you while your climbing
Hi Bill, I had same sort of problem with my sthil saw, it turned out the vent in the fuel cap wasnt working and was stopping the fuel venting correctly, creating a vacuum in the fuel system, starving it of fuel, new cap fitted and works great now.
Older video but good job. The only thing I would say is start cutting branch’s at bottom and work up. Gonna rent me a lift in a month to do 3 big ash trees.
At first it was fun and scary and new, and then the saw acted up and it turned into just another way to work. A more portable boom like that seems better than climbing and taking a tree down from the top down but I suppose a lot of trees are too tall for a bucket boom.
You ever do this again ya might want to invest in a Saftey Harness and go over the top rail to the mounting hooks on either side of the Jib just a FYI Not through the basket over the basket.
Look scary the way you handling the saw, it's a long way down for that saw, but gơd job, save a lot of money, I recently hired some one cut down couple spuce pine tree, cost me a few dollar, those guys make it so sample
That saw may need tuned up....if it’s a 193t....go get yourself a 192tc, 200t or 201t.....good top handles those are. Especially the slightly older ones...older 201t and never look back.
yea my fear of heights is pretty bad i have been trying to force my self into high places to try and break it so far its working but slow still dont think i could do what you did though
Hey Bill I just found out about the Big bud dlc for FS 17 and wanted to tell you about it so if you can check it out and do a video of it and thank you for all the videos you send all of your fans and first time viewers☺
Thank you, I had a fantastic time watching you cut branches, believe it or not I love watching men work and it started with my dad. I really enjoy your Channel, so thank you very very much!
Your boom lift rental payed for itself. To conquer your fear of heights get up where you're not comfortable
A tree guy told me everything looks different when you are up in a lift. Absolutely true. just did the same thing a few days ago. Got the job done but learning curve big time

Great video you,and the wife did awesome and I thank you both 👍
Watching you motivates me to cut my tree .
I have butterflies watching this. I can imagine how Bill feels.

Aw helllll no
Really awesome video
thanks
Really exciting and nervy stuff bill. I was with you all the way. .Thanks for the nice video.
This entire video has me on edge. I absolutely can not do heights, not even in a head mounted video lol.
lol you should have been in the basket :/
It's not bad after the first half hour- just did two days in a 60' mobile articulating boom.

It great to see a great video from Bill, good work Bill! Until next time!
You did a great job made it look easy TC
That little saw is great !
Another great video I love your videos Bill keep up the good work 👍
Yea i think this seals it for me. I need a 60'+ lift and just no way id be able to go that high. Will have to hire someone.
My hands were sweating just watching this holly molly
mines too
Very much respect I had a 35 ft trimming branches I didn't open it all the way wide open as high as it would go I got too scared I'm afraid of heights
glad you got down,i can breath again, little saw was great
Was waiting all day for this vid
Hey Bill glad it all went well and tou nice and safe on the ground. I have to say it looked very scary don't think I could of done that. Thabks for sharing
awesome video bill great job thanks for shareing
Love the videos. Keep them up.
That looked kind of fun and terrifying at the same time. Not sure I would want to go up in one of those. You missed a good opportunity to say , "Look! I can see my house from up here!" lol
lol
Thanks for the video Bill!
Ooh boy, that looks very scary Bill!
Good job! The boom lift sure was handy.
You know your high when the branches take 4 seconds to hit the ground
ya and drift 20' away
Great video Bills
You have balls of steel bill
your gitting up in the world.nice cuting in lift
Bill great vid. however ,where was your harness , Your family needs you !

I am so glad you got through this safe and sound!!
Teather? Safety line? nah not for billstmaxx! lmao good video man not sure I would have tackled this, I am afraid of heights
Smashing job bill, "Tree mendus" lol :-D
You didnt like the heights but you got the job done, well done bill :-D.
lol tree-mendus..
Hi Bill ,Wow You certainly Have Courage to Go that High in that lift, Full respect To you If i was on there I would need a lot of changing of the Underwear
just dont look down
Hi Bill, Yeah but i would be worried no one is looking up and see some Liquid falling!,Have a great Day.
I bet,he has trained first on farm simulator to get used to the height ^ ^
sounds great Bill we all knew you could do it. we just hoped everything would work well, & safely for you.
Good job you have got a lot Of Guts doing that
maybe that little chainsaw trying to tell you something bill .. he don,t like that high lmao
I agree, the air is to thin up there.
Well I can tell you one thing he's crossing his arms which your never supposed to do whilst running a chainsaw and I'm a tree climber and I use a buck I use three ropes and that a buck strap a ground rope and a tie in rope which supports you while your climbing
Buckin billy ray probably would not approve or at least have a few pro tips
Bill I have a tree here about that tall no power lines just my house you do that so well you have that handy saw
Hi Bill, I had same sort of problem with my sthil saw, it turned out the vent in the fuel cap wasnt working and was stopping the fuel venting correctly, creating a vacuum in the fuel system, starving it of fuel, new cap fitted and works great now.
ahh yeah that will do it too
Older video but good job. The only thing I would say is start cutting branch’s at bottom and work up.
Gonna rent me a lift in a month to do 3 big ash trees.
At 9.13 you almost cut the hydraulic line bill !!
close eh.
Yeah close call
Yeah you just about died sir.
Fascinating!
Bill I almost had a heart attack watching you on that lift surprisingly you didn't scream
😂
lol.. it wasn't to bad. just the wind
Makes me so nervous watching under cut with his arm just inches away.
Thank the Frigg, that's done.
At first it was fun and scary and new, and then the saw acted up and it turned into just another way to work. A more portable boom like that seems better than climbing and taking a tree down from the top down but I suppose a lot of trees are too tall for a bucket boom.
iv'e missed these videos. great job bill although you had me nervous at points when it looked like you were cutting a bit close to your arm lol.
Nice video
You ever do this again ya might want to invest in a Saftey Harness and go over the top rail to the mounting hooks on either side of the Jib just a FYI
Not through the basket over the basket.
Look scary the way you handling the saw, it's a long way down for that saw, but gơd job, save a lot of money, I recently hired some one cut down couple spuce pine tree, cost me a few dollar, those guys make it so sample
Well done frend
This would have been a good job for a pole saw, reduces the need to move around alot.
but the ones over the lines needed to be cut and controlled to the ground
great vid thanks
Riley gearhard its a sthil 192t t stands for top handle
Ive used a 185 foot boom lift at work Working on a high rise Everything looks like an ant
Hey Bill. Well done. I for one would enjoy watching you chipping all the debris?
OK, I'll not play the safety Nazi for you... but get a lanyard for that nice little saw. I mean, you'll heal, the saw won't!!
Hey Bill thanks for the video missed these kind. are you going to chip it all up in a video ?
Now that you are thru do you think about how much easier it would have been if you had your pole saw up there with you???
You should really be wearing an arrest harness. Safety first.
Rig stuff away from the lines and the house. Control your cuts leave nothing to chance
IF A HEAVY LIMB FELLON THAT BUCKET YOUD B EJECTED,AND NXT TIME PUT WIDE WOOD ,PADS UNDER LIFT FEET
CAT ' s Machine?😂😂😂
I would have had one of your family get some video of you up in the lift. That way you could have video up and down.
Thought you might have to tune for altitude for a bit there lol!
You don’t need a harness?
Do you do tree trimming
What happened to the metal foundry project?
shelved!
That saw may need tuned up....if it’s a 193t....go get yourself a 192tc, 200t or 201t.....good top handles those are. Especially the slightly older ones...older 201t and never look back.
Do you really need to take a can of gas up in the lift? That saw will run for a long time on its tank of fuel. It's just not safe
You need to rig stuff away from the branches.
How big was tree? And how long it took you just to cut it?
Have you ever had a fear of heights? If so, what did you do to overcome it?
how about a safety harness
Any word on if you're gonna be allowed to film in the gates again?
Where's your harness? or is it not required for that machine
Haven't done a chipper video in a while be sure to check fluids ought to be good
A self propelled lift would have made it much quicker. Self propelled cost more than the rental in delivery fees.
Time for a chipper video Bill?
how many birds try to attack u or snakes in the tree watch out for planes lol
i really had a hard time watching this video because of the angles my own fear of heights was actually kicking in
thats interesting.. i mostly didn't feel to bad up there. just the wind
yea my fear of heights is pretty bad i have been trying to force my self into high places to try and break it so far its working but slow still dont think i could do what you did though
i have a variety of wild tree ranging from 35 to 70 ft. 6 total.
Manitoba maple; is that what we call Boxelder maple where I'm from or something else?
Billstemaxx Farming Simulator 17
william snyder IJsselmeer
Matt Marino thanks
Hey Bill what GoPro do you use ? How long does the battery last when you doing a video like this ?
hero 4 silver it still had quite a bit but i have the backpack battery too
Hey Bill I just found out about the Big bud dlc for FS 17 and wanted to tell you about it so if you can check it out and do a video of it and thank you for all the videos you send all of your fans and first time viewers☺
What would've you done if you hit a bee's nest while up in the air.
well....
BILLSTMAXX probably would have been the same I'd do. Lol. The whole time Christina was saying I hope he doesn't get in a bee's nest.
I see whats going on the friggin choke was on lol
With all the moving around you have to do up there maybe you should've taken the pole saw with you.
its nice to have a close hand on the branch to let it fall under control
I couldn't do it. Yours are bigger than mine.
And when your in a bucket you don't have to use a safety harness
Where the hell did you get a chainsaw that small?!
sounds like a stihl 201T $700 dollar saw
Why did bill kept on looking down
to see how much more it was going to hurt if gravity took over
Yeah that would be scararre bill but you did and it is over for the most part
I have a 85 feet bucket and if you want to see something tall get in that
Just cut all the bloody tree down haha
dont one hand the saw.
