I think that the Broken One refers to El, the fused who had his rhythms taken away by Rayse. He had already been chosen by Rayse to rule Roshar after the contest as shown by epigraphs in RoW, and I think that Retribution leaving the planet will mean that there are no changes to that plan.
I thought the epigraph about the man on a cliffside was Taravangian too, but Wind and Truth, chapter 142 is called ‘A man stands on a cliffside’ so if we using that as proof as with the tower and crown and suckling child chapters, it would mean your other theory that it referred to Dalinar’s vision of standing on a cliff watching Kholinar being destroyed is correct.
I think the broken one is Adonalsium and his inheritors (wind, truth and night) will reign. Meaning Roshar will become the planet free of shards. I think Nohadon is an avatar for Ado and so Dalinar became his follower through the course of his arc starting with Way of Kings-Nohadon kept interrupting Tanavasts visions and giving Dalinar a deeper wisdom than Honor (only a piece) ever could.
on the "suckling child" rattle, I believe you have correctly associated it with Dalinor vs Odium on the tower top but I always wondered if that quote should have ended as "further Breath to draw" - Taravangian's scribes would not have been aware of the concept of Breath as investiture so would not have capitalized it (not that they were writing in English but you know what I mean). I wonder if perhaps it might even be hinting at something in the future that would bring investiture (aka Stormlight) back to Roshar. I enjoy your videos - thanks for posting them!
That is SUCH an interesting idea, and one that didn’t occur to me until you laid it out! Yes, I do wonder if that’s in relation to Breaths, which would add a v cool dimension to that death rattle.
I mean, I think those are all reasonable interpretations. The first one is clearly Kaladin, but you've mistimed something, the honorspear doesn't appear at his 5th ideal, it appears when Kaladin swears himself to the Oathpact, but other than that really enjoyed it. A shame we're gonna be waiting a while for the second half of the series.
I know I am probably way off but I wonder about the broken one referring to Szeth. I am hopeful that he becomes an even more prominent character in the second arc. Your videos are great!
“The fallen title” definitely indicates Kaladin taking Jezrien’s place as Herald, but it could also be about Dalinar ascending to Honor (briefly) as that is a fallen “title” too (and it happens on top of the tower of Urithiru)

The Kalafin Herald epigraph gave me chills

Nohadon as an avatar for Ado is a cool theory - I still haven’t been able to wrap my head fully with what’s going on there.

Ah, slip of the tongue. Good point!

It could be! Has Dalinar ever been associated with a spear?
@@Fantasialoreno.
Could be both tbh
