My sister sent me your channel and I LOVE IT! I am a Hot Pepper Fan and have been trying to grow them for a couple of years. I finally realized that I was being a bad pepper mom - I am able to get my seeds to germinate beautifully, but where I currently live, it is overall too cold. It is only in September that they finally start to take off and I do nothing to overwinter them. Like I said, I am a bad pepper mom. In the spring, am moving to Florida and will be retired so my peppers will be able to be my babies. I have only seen 2 of your videos, but your passion is off the roof and you remind me of me. I just have a load of fun growing hot peppers. I have some personal projects that I want to do as well, but I need harvests of your size to go down that dream path. I would love to exchange emails with you regarding your pepper growing esperience - I noted that you are in 7A. I currently live in zone 8b and will be moving to 9a in the spring. I want to make salsa, pickled peppers hot sauce with flavor. I would love to hear from you if you are interested. Thank you!
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! And thanks to your sister for sharing. Peppers really are so rewarding and so much fun to grow, and I’ll be jealous once you can grow year round in Florida. I’m sure with the extra time and more suitable climate you will be great at it! Send me a private message on here if you can. I can probably hook you up with some seeds to get you started on the right foot next season!
7A growers! You are killing it this year 👏 I got to antsy in February and killed my seedlings and had to start again yield is small but love our climate, I feel they have more flavor and heat.
Yeah it’s a good climate for sure! I got a later start this year than planned with not starting my seeds till march but the plants are finally where I’d like them to be! I’ll probably try to start them around mid February indoors next year.
The Pepper garden is Looking Amazing - Congratulations. Keep up the great work!! I'm always struggling to figure out what to do with my Super hots - which seem to always be the best producers in my garden and a little goes a long way, so I have a bunch of super hot sauces that I'm slowly working through - and a larger number of peppers just frozen in my freezer until I figure something out.
Hey Jack! Where did you get those bags to protect from cross-pollination? I happen to be planning out my pepper garden in my limited space and those are just what I am looking for 👊🏻🌶👊🏻
Hey! I got them from amazon. They’re called organza bags and are mainly used for party favors or gift bags. They’re super cheap though and work well for this too! Here’s a link to the ones I got but there’s tons of them on there: amzn.to/3ZqW3Iw
Amazing hot pepper plants! I dont really like hot peppers, but I am planting a few in my garden. I want to test some recipes to possibly include in my booth at the farmers' market.
Thank you! I fertilize them with a kelp fertilizer when I start them and then at transplanting put in some homemade compost, all purpose granules, and dynomyco. Then normally hit them with some more all purpose + calcium when they really start producing! Check out my super hot transplant video on my page I show all the products in that!

You’re braver than me! Definitely saving seeds from this plant. I think those are good guesses on the pepper type. If true, I have some wicked sauces brewing at the moment!
Hi, I like your channel. I am from south Texas. I really liked your idea of placing a mesh bag around the newly formed flower before it opens to keep from cross pollinating. The question is - How good does it work? If it is 100% effective, where can I get some of these? Do they also sale bigger sizes to put around a tomatoe(s)?
Hey! I appreciate it and glad to have you here! It has worked pretty good for me, and definitely better than doing nothing. The bags are actually little bags for party favors or things like that. You can search “sheer organza bags” online and find them in all kinds of sizes. They’re extremely cheap too, I got a 100 pack of these for $6. So it’s definitely worth trying.
I have nothing against them! I’ve grown many peppers in smaller pots than that. The plants just won’t get as big as if you had them in 5 gallon + pots, but you’ll still get peppers while saving space and $ on dirt.
Hi! I didn’t top any of these plants. I just let them do their thing. I think this year I’m going to run some season long experiments on if that actually does anything for the yield of the plant.
I grew Scotch Bonnet's last year for a Jamaican friend of mine. Those things are hotter than I expected!
They really are! Great flavor too, though.
That detailed breakdown of irrigation techniques at 6:15 was exactly what I needed. Thanks for making it so clear and easy to understand!

The fruit is in great condition

Thank you!! I have the same issues lol my freezer is full of them! Good problem to have though
What an awesome way to get true seeds! Thank you! Im not sure if i have time to get mature seeds this year (6b). But ill remember for next season.
No problem! Other commenters have pointed out that it’s not perfect but it’s worked pretty well for me.

That sure is a fantastic garden and we both like pepper 🌶 and chillies ❤❤❤
cross the t-rex with the death spiral 👍
very cool stuf thanks for showing
No problem!
What do you use to fertilize, your peppers are amazing

@@jackspepperpatch I will, I subscribed to your channel after looking at your video, I’ll check them all out.

Make some pickles to go on fish with onions and carrots with white vinegar
Trinidad moruga scorpion or 7 pot cheguanas. Same shapes as the peach 7 pot. Save the seeds hehehe
The mustard trex; I will make a sauce and try to eat one hehehe

Habanero mexican peppers🔥🔥🔥
I'm over in zone 7b. When did you start growing these inside? I plan to start next year. Thanks.
I normally start around Valentine’s Day, but this year I got a late start! So it was early march
Are those 10 gallon grow bags?
These were 5 gallons
antillais caribbean habanero is my guess mine look just like it.
That does look just like it. Some sort of hab is my running theory. They’re good whatever they are!
Very nice pepper plants! How do you feel about growing peppers in 3 gallon pots?
I have nothing against them! I’ve grown many peppers in smaller pots than that. The plants just won’t get as big as if you had them in 5 gallon + pots, but you’ll still get peppers while saving space and $ on dirt.
Hi there did you top the peppers as well as the bell peppers 😊
Hi! I didn’t top any of these plants. I just let them do their thing. I think this year I’m going to run some season long experiments on if that actually does anything for the yield of the plant.
Dang son, how do you handle all of those peppers and not burn your self
As long as you don’t break the skin of the pods when you pick them you should be fine!
Do you spray anything on the leaves to stop the bugs from eating the plant ??
Only if needed! Then I use neem oil, dish soap, and water. I just posted a short about that actually.
Must a butterfly touch the flower
No, peppers have a “perfect flower” that can pollinate itself. They just need a shake or a little wind to pollinate though.
Moruga Trinidad scorpion pepper 🌶
Do you ever sell seeds? for the more rare type?
Not at the moment! I want to get into that though. I have a few interesting plants that I’m refining the seeds for.
What happens when a cayenne pepper flower falls down when you are planting it inside a house
As i have it the flower falls when it gets pollinated, you should see peppers start growing but just make sure I might be wrong
Red savina habanero
Do you share your recipes?
Yes, check out my channel for hot sauce recipes!
🌶🤙❤️🔥
Wash your hands before you go to the bathroom!
