Was there today. Guess I picked a bad couple spots. It was a bust. I fished off the dock and then that little cove just right of the boat launch.
Right now it is pretty hot out. So the fish are probably deep. If I were to go now I would find deep areas and just use powerbait or nightcrawlers.

I caught a 3 1/2 pounder at Lake Amador
Nice nice there are some nice fish there.
What size line do you use? Braid?
5lb braid to a 4lb fluoro leader

I haven't been back out to Amador but I believe they are still stocking. I saw it on their Facebook they stocked last week.

You can keep up to 5 trout. No size limit
what bait/lure do you recommend
I like kastmasters at this lake. Bait nightcrawlers, rainbow seem to work well. I usually use a variety of jigs also.
